Our stay at this RV park was extremely disappointing due to serious safety concerns, poor management, constant noise issues, and overall lack of cleanliness. The biggest issue involved multiple off-leash dog incidents. While walking my leashed dogs one evening, we were aggressively approached by another dog that was not on a leash. I was able to pick up my smaller dog, but my larger dog had to defend herself. She has never been in a fight before and was simply protecting our pack. This was a dangerous situation that could have easily resulted in serious injury. I reported the incident to Animal Control because dogs roaming off-leash in required leash areas is unacceptable. What made the situation worse was how management handled it. The owner approached my husband and me aggressively, yelling at us to leave immediately and falsely accusing my dog of being the aggressor. She even violently shook our fence and demanded it be removed, despite other campers having fences in place. We were told to move by the next morning in December, despite being in a winterized site, which caused unnecessary stress and cost us a $40 lost deposit for a temporary site. After reviewing security footage, the owner later admitted we had done nothing wrong, but there was no apology or acknowledgment for the false accusations and threats. The park also has a major issue with inconsistent rule enforcement. After we were required to remove our fence, other campers were allowed to keep theirs in place for months. This creates an unfair environment and leaves guests unsure of what rules are actually enforced. Another ongoing issue was the frequent loud music. Music was often played loudly from nearby sites, making it difficult to relax, enjoy the evening, or have any peace at our camper. This happened often enough to become a major frustration during our stay. The condition of the property is also poor. The roads are entirely gravel and filled with potholes, especially near the entrance. When it rains or snow melts, these become large muddy puddles that make walking difficult and can be rough on vehicles. Because this is a small park, smoke from neighboring campers also becomes a problem. Marijuana smoke frequently drifted into our area, making it unpleasant to open windows or sit outside. There were continued safety issues as well, including another camper's unattended dog getting loose and approaching my dogs. The owner didn't even realize their dog had escaped, which only added to the ongoing stress. Cleanliness is another concern. Dog waste is often left around the property, creating unsanitary conditions and obvious health concerns. Overall, while the location may be convenient, the combination of aggressive management, unsafe off-leash dog incidents, loud music, poor maintenance, smoke exposure, and lack of cleanliness made this a very stressful and unpleasant stay. I would strongly encourage pet owners and families to consider these issues before booking. read more

Coming here felt like coming home. Joy was pleasant and efficient making the reservation on the phone. Unlike many hosts, she helped find a discount, and she came out to greet us after hours. The park, though small and treeless, is clean, comfortable, and quiet. The restrooms and laundry are password-protected. The high-speed wireless is exceptional. One restrooms is heavily perfumed, which is a deal-breaker for people with sensitivities. I did not want to breathe those chemicals for the length of a shower--although with the homelike facilities and abundant hot water, it would have been a long one. However, the accessible restroom, with roll-in shower for wheelchair users, was pleasantly scent-free. For a good night's sleep, a warm welcome and convenience to I-270, this place is hard to beat. read more

Joy and her staff are wonderful park owners. This is THE spot if you want to be close to Columbus. It's not a "go stay and enjoy the park" destination, it's more for people stopping in Columbus who want to be close. It's small, but boy have they optimized their amenities. The bathhouse is new and clean, like you would have in a house. Power and hookups are newer and maintained. The internet is surprisingly high speed and excellent. We streamed movies and ran video conferences with zero issues (she's paid well for internet), and the water pressure is fantastic. The sites are clean (no Fire pits - too close and city codes) and there is easy access to anything you need (tractor supply store for propane and gear, grocery, Walmart, whatever). She allows leashed dogs and even has recycling. read more

This is a great place to park for a night or two. So well maintained, quiet and great bathrooms/showers. I appreciated the Grove brand products! The laundry room was cute too and clean! Our spot had all the hookups we needed! I'm only sad we arrived after the office/store closed and left before it opened. The description of the store sounded like I would've enjoyed it! I'm writing this review of Sue not the park. We arrived at the park after hours and Sue had directions taped to the door for us. It was easy to find our spot and hook up. After a bit our carbon monoxide detector started going off and Sue was quick to pick up her phone (after 1:00am!) and help is out. After an hour of try by to fix it, we had to leave and stay at a nearby hotel. Without a question, Sue was quick to refund us our money in the morning and refer us to dealership to have the RV checked out. The park maybe small but Sue was a great host. I wouldn't hesitate to return. read more

Stayed here last winter for 6 months. Stayed here 6 months this winter(April 2018). Both time were work related. Never had any problems. They have probably the best internet I've experienced in my 10 years of travel. Most convenient RV park to Columbus area. Closeness to everything you need. I also recommend the community center just a half mile down road (gym/fitness). Never had any thefts or problems with owners. You're allowed two vehicles per spot. Then they charge extra. Other than that. Nothing bad I can say about the place. Well, except the winters here can be sucky. Don't think I can ding them for that. read more

Almost didn't stay here because of negative review. Glad we did, plenty of room to park our 40ft. class A and our big truck. This is not a resort or place with a playground but a very nice, clean well lit safe place to park. Very easy to get in and out of and close to town. The owners were so nice and it's pet friendly. Not sure what the other reviewer was complaining about, owner offered to help us park but let us just pull right in. We will definitely come back when we come to see family. read more

Discussing parking additional vehicles: I have two vehicles, one is electric. Granted, this is not busy season. They offered to let me park my electric car (free) in a small RV spot beside my spot. Even plug it in. Perhaps when the camp is busy this is a different situation. This place is quiet, sleepy even. Family run. I spent some time at the table getting to know the host family - which was fun. I will stop here when I stay in Columbus again in the future. No swimming pools, dog parks, ski jumps, tractor pulls etc. Just plain ol' camping. I got some help parking, and some loaner equipment to help me get hooked up. Super nice people. read more

This is fast becoming a favorite spot to stay when we are in Columbus. The owners and staff are fantastic. Yes, there is some street noise, but it is also in a rural part of central Ohio, close to 2 metro parks. Can be downtown or at OSU in 15 minutes. There are FULL hookups! Hard to find in the area. And the wifi is the best we have ever had at an RV park--very useful for all of my zoom meetings!! read more

The owner is a wacko. She tells you one thing, you comply, then get yelled at for doing as you are told. She will bug you and call you every day and ask when you are leaving (I was booked to stay there the whole month). She became so neurotic that I found an alternative campground. Nice, small and very clean RV park... The owners Sue & Jim are super friendly and helpful. Also Sharon (staff worker & fellow RVer) is a real sweet heart. The park is quite and animal friendly, located with easy access to downtown & West Jefferson. Full-hook ups, internet and super clean bath house. Really enjoyed my stay while helping my daughter move from OSU into her new apartment after graduation. Fast wifi (I don't "rough it") and a friendly person a check-in. Small spaces, but just enough grass to put out a couple chairs and enjoy the evening. Will definitely return! read more
