Moving into this location in 2021 from their original Chinatown location at 235 Spadina, and with unique combinations of toppings, we decided to try first their traditional offerings, and then try their unique pies after. They had a very appealing option to order any 6 slices for $36, which we originally planned to use, but they had no slices available that evening, so we had to order a whole pie, and so chose their "Cheese" pie ("tomato sauce, mozzarella," $29 for a Large (about 16"))., and it was, overall, disappointing. Asked for a "well done" and the outer half-inch was very good, but overall the dough was a tiny bit on the sweeter side and offered no char-like flavours and with a generally "gummy" dough/crust with minimal air pockets. The sauce was acidic tasting (likely from the heat of the oven), and plain tasting. The cheese was tolerable but very "one-note" tasting. The pie had a garnish of cheese (assuming it was parmesan, romano, or parm-regg). Overall, would not reccomend their "Cheese" pizza since it was very unappealing and not worth $29 for an approximately 16" plain pie. Their other pies are very unique and unfortunately we cannot try or critique them due to them closing but they are: Butter Jam Jam: ("Organic Raspberry Jam, Butter Cream Sauce, Mozzarella, Balsamic Reduction, Lemon Zest") Kung Fungji: ("Sautéed Cremini, Beech Mushrooms, Mozzarella, Truffle Oil, Tangy Chilli Jelly, Chives") MF Prashoots: ("Prosciutto, Sautéed Cremini, Mozzarella, Truffle Infused Ricotta") The Keanu: ("Maple Smoked Bacon Crumble, Mozzarella, Cream Cheese, Pineapple Glaze, Chives, Black Pepper") Kilauea: ("Jalapeño, Pineapple, Sweety Drops, Tomato Sauce, Cream Cheese, Mozzarella, Chilli Flakes, and Maldon Salt")

My absolute favourite is the Butter Jam Jam. It is the perfect balance of sweet and savoury, with mozzarella cheese and jam that somehow just works. Think of it like a charcuterie board without the meat, unexpected but so good. The guys here are always super friendly and welcoming, and the prices are beyond reasonable. There is plenty of seating inside and out, and it never feels crowded. One of these days I will try their burgers, but honestly the Butter Jam Jam keeps winning me over every time.

Had the good karma pizza, and you can taste the onions, artichokes, and seasoned chicken. I wanted to try the pear and proscuitto, i'll do that for next time if i'm around the area. My friend had the mushroom and cheese which is simple comfort food. The pizza crust is thin and crispy, almost like a pita. If you're into a more dough-y thick crust kind of person, it may not suit your fancy. Environment is friendly, casual and comfortable with upbeat music :) The staff made conversation with us, which I appreciate, especially John, the owner. He gave us his special chipotle sauce with carrots and lime to try and it is not the typical sauce drenched with mayo, it's quite refreshing in the sense where you taste the apples, but it's not mild in flavour. He recommended a great french bakery, and showed us his favourite ice cream.

There were some seating outside but it was only the one table for two people. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. The only downfall was that they ran out of meat sauce so the lasagna was out of the question but they made up for it in the pizza flavours. The menu is pretty straightforward; they offer multiple types of pizza ranging from classic meat lovers to unique ones like smoked salmon or tandoori chicken. I ended up ordering the four cheese because I was in a cheesy mood. The pizza was amazing. The crust had a nice puff up but was not so crunch that it would cut the roof of your mouth. The sauce-to-dough ratio was perfect, and neither ingredient overpowered the other. The cheeses they used (Ricotta, Feta, Bocconcini and cream cheese) didn't clash with each other, and it just seemed to be a slice of cheesy goodness with every bite. The pizza was not greasy, so no mountain of napkins was needed. A must-try if your into pizza and like my nannu says in Sicilian "Veni e pigghiati 'u divertimentu" (Come and enjoy it already).

We'll just be more mindful next time. The pizzas were good and I loved the freshness of the toppings. Unfortunately, I did not love their crust as it was too chewy for my liking. My kid also confirmed his pepperoni slice to be "the best pizza in the world". - So, that's something. My toddler, however, couldn't even finish one slice. So, I have to deduct one star to be fair. I asked for it to be warmed up but they didn't do a good job of that, it was still a bit cold which made me think they were serving stale pieces from start of day. The pizza itself was tough to chew. The crust had to be tossed. That said, I am giving them 2 stars because the panzo itself was good (not great) - the cheese was soft, flavorful, and gooey; and the dough was nicely done. This includes the pepperoni, cheese, Frank's best, and spicy vodka pepperoni. Service here is super friendly, the spot is clean with staff constantly wiping tables and the floors during the winter time. I got a whole dr. pepperoni slice with extra cheese and it came piping hot, cooked perfectly and so delicious. Also got slices of their spicy vodka which is my favourite and a full 5/5 for me. Frank's best is a great change in flavour with goat cheese, mozz, caramelized onions, rosemary, organic honey and a sesame crust. Don't forget to also get their spicy creamy garlic dip and mix it well! Overall, I love this spot and think their pizzas are so good! Their crusts are delicious as well, especially the sesame crust.

Pizzas come in 12 (4 slices) and 16 inch (8 slices). There is also a square pizza called a Tavern Cut. Pizza is on the more expensive side. We order a 12 and 16 inch with 1 dipping sauce and the bill was over 70 bucks with tax. We got takeout so no eating in. Pizza was ordered online and picked up. What was ordered: 16 inch Fred's Best - white pizza with béchamel sauce, goat cheese, caramelized onions with a sesame coated crust attached with honey 12 inch Dr.Pepperoni - fresh tomato sauce with generous topping of pepperoni 1 spicy creamy garlic dip The verdict? The crust was decent and pizzas are thin. We did find both pizzas a little too greasy for our preference. The flavour of Fred's Best was a combination of sweet from the honey and caramelized onions and salty from the cheese. Dr. Pepperoni was better with spicy kick from the chunks of tomatoes and pepperoni. Salty is the other descriptor I would use. Would we order again? Maybe. At these prices I would consider this special occasion pizza!
