Mussels and mexican sausage
Jason T.

This is the steakhouse that everyone raves about at the Secrets the Vine resort. They serve proper steaks, and I enjoyed their rib eye. Cooked to perfection, medium rare. The side dishes were also delicious, especially the mixer mushrooms and mashed potato. Come early because long line ups are common.

Ribeye steak (Amazing)

Really loved the Ribeye steak. Ordered it medium rare and it was cooked to perfection. Service was incredible as well. Dimly lit and romantic! Highly recommend!

The amount of fat in the rib eye

I hate that I have that I have to post a negative review for this place, but it's a steak house and the steak was not a fillet that I ordered, twice. Maybe the beef is just different here but a fillet mignon should not be tough. Both were tough. Seasoned well. But not good. The ribeye that was ordered looked gray. See photo. As a steak house, a 1 centimeter steak is not acceptable. This steak sadly was not seasoned. On to the good stuff, because really, everything else savory was good. The wedge was seasoned well. The beet salad was wonderful. Our server was really patient. The spacing between courses was on point. I decided to try dessert. Another disappointment. I had the flourless chocolate cake with espresso mouse. I believe gelatin was used for stability. It was a bit on the rubbery side. I did speak to others that did not have the same results. Lucky them. Lastly, this place doesn't accept reservations. So we had to line up like cattle to get in for a table. But that so far seems normal since I've been at this resort.

The ambience is nice but the food was lacking in flavor. The service was good but slow. I ordered the chicken special and it was ok, we also ordered the rib eye and the sea bass. I couldn't really say it was good...not enough to go back. It's an all inclusive but to be in a 4 star resort I guess I expected a bit more.

Mediocre house Cab, switched to Merlot

Beautiful dining room, I had high hopes, but unfortunately I was disappointes. Service was polite and cheerful but inefficient - slow: empty plates and glasses sat at empty tables for too long around me, my wine and water glasses remained empty for quite awhile even in the middle of my meal, though the room wasn't full. The food, which is the most important thing: The octopus carpaccio was textureless, flaccid and mushy. Not much flavour. The beef broth soup had floating islands of cooled oil, indicating uneven heating, maybe microwaved? And the ribeye...it smelled so good! What a disappointment. Not properly trimmed - first bite I had to spit out bone hard gristle hidden among the fat. It had good beefiness in the aroma and taste, but it was so soft to the point of being mushy...small saving grace - the salt grinder was set to very coarse and was loaded with rock salt. All in all a disappointment for what is presented as one of the gourmet rooms in the resort.

Signature steak with creamy corn

This restaurant is the best one at secrets the vine but you have to wait to get in. We went there twice during our stay and both of the times, we waited around 40 minutes. They give you a pager and an estimated time but the estimated time is very off. The lady told us 20 mins but we ended up waiting for over 40 minutes. The food here is the best quality and taste in my opinion. Steak is really good and I liked most of the sides they had. The short ribs were mediocre but everything else is good!

The best place to get steak at the Secrets the vine! The service was amazing and everything came out promptly! The signature steak as well as the New York steak was phenomenal. We ordered both on one plate and it was probably one of the best meals we have had at the resort. They have a good selection of sides and they have other options like grilled salmon if you're not feeling like steak. Our server, alejandro, was the best during our four night here on the resort. He recommended the lava cake, which did not disappoint! Definitely a restaurant on the resort worth trying!

Go to this place early or late! It gets packed. Opens at 6 and you can usually get a seat any time before 6:30 after that it's usually a hour or two hours on the wait list. It's really worth the wait! The food comes out at a great pace where they aren't rushing you to get out of the as fast as possible. We were able to sit down and enjoy a few glasses of wine and just talk. The steaks were really good, not NY Steak house good but pretty darn good for being "free" They were cooked just the way we asked. My wife ordered medium rare and I ordered rare and all three steaks were cooked to that temp! The rib-eye is deff the way to go. It's about a half inch thick, about 1 1/2 inches less than I get back home but it was really good. I had to add salt and pepper for taste and it ate much better after that. Be prepared to saw like a lumberjack thou, the knives are not the sharpest to cut through the steak. Lucky the tables are well planted on the ground and you don't move the table too much! Ha The corn was amazing and the mashed potatoes were just alright. It was basically a baked potato mashed up. The cheese cake was not as great as it sounded. The crust was very weird and had a horrible waxy paper texture. I would skip on that. The service was top notch and when our drinks were getting low he was there filling up our glasses! I highly recommend this place at least once before you leave!

Open Faced Shrimp Ravioli
Stephanie S.

We dined at Bluewater Grill twice during our visit to Secrets the Vine and I would highly recommend it. What stands out about Secrets and Bluewater Grill was the service. Everywhere we ate the service was spectacular. Alejandro was our server both times and he went above and beyond. We ordered the open faced shrimp ravioli and pazoleta as our appetizers. I loved the shrimp ravioli and the cream sauce it came with was SO good. They should consider making it an entree option. Personally, I wasn't a fan of the pazoleta as I found it to be underwhelming. It's just melted cheese with peppers on top. For our entrees I had the braised short rib and my husband had the grilled ribeye. Our consensus was that the braised short rib was the way to go. It was so tender and fell off the bone. The second time we went we met the chef and he told us it's cooked for four hours. It was incredibly good and I highly recommend it. The ribeye wasn't bad but not as good as short ribs. The desserts are also great. We tried the cheesecake and the apple pie. They are on the shareables menu and one is enough for two people. You can't go wrong with either. Definitely worth make a stop (or multiple stops) during your stay!

Once we stepped onto the deck overlooking the lagoon, the whole experience elevated even further. The scenery was stunning, soft lights reflecting off the water, a gentle breeze, and live music drifting through the air like the perfect soundtrack to an already unforgettable night. Then came the food, each dish was its own little masterpiece. The bread service alone set the tone: warm, golden rolls with just the right touch off salt. The wedge salad followed. It was crisp, cold, and generously dressed, with smoky bacon and bright tomatoes adding all the right contrasts. The dry-aged steak was the star of the table, cooked perfectly with that deep, rich flavor only dry-aging can create. The roasted peppers and silky sauce on the side made every bite feel intentional. The octopus was another standout, tender, beautifully charred, and plated with a vibrant puree that balanced the dish with a touch of sweetness. One of the best plates we had. The table got more entrees since there were 8 of us but didn't get pictures. Sea brass was another favorite. Even the lobster soup arrived with flair: a velvety bowl paired with a seafood-topped toast that brought texture and richness together in one elegant bite. The beef tartare with fries was classic and fresh, refined without losing its fun. Dessert turned into a full performance. The liquid-nitrogen ice cream came with swirling clouds of cold vapor, dramatic and delicious. The birthday cake arrived crowned with berries and a sparkling candle that lit up the whole table. And just when we thought the night couldn't get any more whimsical, out came the towering blue cotton candy, playful, over-the-top, and impossible not to smile at. Harry's doesn't just serve dinner. It creates an experience, one where the service, the scenery, the atmosphere, and the food all work together to make you feel celebrated. Our night felt luxurious, thoughtful, and truly unforgettable for my husband's 50th birthday! Well done Harry's!

We loved it so much, we ended up here twice in the same week. The service is outstanding here and you can tell they pride themselves on customer service. Before the meal, they do drop off bread with dipping sauces, garlic, and butter. The perfect appetizer. One reason I love this place is the salads. They are big enough for split for 2 and I don't think you can go wrong with any of the options. Personally, the cesar salad is my favorite. What I love about this salad, is they make the dressing right in front of you. Definitely a cool and unique experience. The first time, I ordered the tuna steak. It comes with a soy sauce and a garlic butter. These two sauces on the tuna makes for an incredible meal. I cannot say enough good things about this entree! The second night we went my boyfriend and I split the Cesar salad and the skirt steak. We also added on a side of mashed potatoes and grilled veggies. The whole meal was delicious. I couldn't pick a favorite part because everything tasted so good. Splitting this was the perfect meal for two people and we even had a bit left over to snack on the next day. I always have a wonderful experience with even better food when I come here. If you happen to be in the area this is a must stop.

For my entree, I had the whitefish, which was cooked perfectly and served on a bed of mashed potatoes. I wasn't able to finish everything because the portions were generous. It was a lovely evening.

In the past this place has always been a staple for us, but each year we go we like it a little less. This year majority of the group was disappointed in the entire experience from the service to the food. To start, the service was lacking compared to what we get at other local restaurants nearby. Our servers did not frequently come back to ask if we needed anything and we were constantly having to ask to get our waters refilled. The drinks are good, but nothing we can't get elsewhere. Half of our group enjoyed (but not loved) their food and half did not enjoy. My SO and I split the al pastor meal. In the past we have loved this, but this time it felt like they rushed to make it and the flavors we remembered just weren't there. It was still good, but I think it could have been better. I do love the churro cart here, but you can get good churros several other places. Overall, this place has gone downhill in our opinion, and for the price it isn't worth it when there so many better options close by. I'm sure we will be back, but I think we might skip a year stopping here.

Unfortunately, the experience went downhill quickly. The service was flashy but slow, and we followed the waiter's recommendations for both an appetizer and our entrees. He told my girlfriend her entrée didn't come with a side, so we ordered one. After several cocktails, her entrée arrived--but mine never did. I sat there watching her eat while I waited. When I asked the waiter where my meal was, he simply said, "it is not working." I then asked a manager for help, but he disappeared and never returned. The bill came with no apology, no explanation, no discount, and nothing complimentary. It was an awkward and uncomfortable way to end what was supposed to be a special evening. Mistakes happen, but what really bothered me was that there was no effort to acknowledge the problem or make it right. I do not recommend. Me quedé sentado viéndola comer mientras yo esperaba.

While the flavors were there, the dishes came out lukewarm, which was disappointing especially given the price point and wait time for food. At this level, temperature and execution really matter. The food wasn't bad, but for what we paid, I honestly expected more. For comparison, I could have had a stronger overall meal in the Seaport area of Boston at a similar or even lower price point. That said, if you're going for the experience, ambiance, music, and top tier staff, Chambao hits the mark. Just know that the food may not fully match the hype or cost. The server was attentive to all our needs, helped make recommendations on the menu and helped us pick a delicious bottle of wine that would pair well with our dinner. They addressed us by our last names Mr and Mrs Valles which made me feel even more impressed. They would take away silverware after each meal and provide you with new silverware, they cleaned the table after each meal as well to make sure that even if you had crumbs or a messy eating style they would make sure you had a clean table for the next entree item. During the dinner there was a professional tango dancing couple who dance in front of your table and around the restaurant! It was pretty awesome! Honestly it makes the experience even more exciting. The ambiance is absolutely beautiful during dinner. The view of the ocean from the window seats was also nice to have while enjoying the fine dining Argentinian Cuisines. As for the food we had a Shrimp appetizer that the server recommended paired with Blue Crab Soup. My girlfriend and I also split a Rib Eye steak. Finally we concluded our meal with the Apple Crumble. Let me tell you everything tasted phenomenal! The Argentinian spices and flavor of the shrimp was insanely good, creamy, had some spice, and the flavor was top notch. They cooked our Rib Eye to perfection where the steak literally melted in your mouth! As for the blue crab soup it was absolutely phenomenal and the portion of crab they provide in the soup is perfect. The Apple Crumble would make angels cry in happiness! I am not a big Apple person but the Apple crumble was to die for! Overall, the ambiance can not be beat, the service is phenomenal, the food is delicious, and is a romantic setting that I would highly suggest for couples who are enjoying paradise!
