There's nothing better than a small business run by awesome people producing awesome products. I came here for a free distillery tour recently and not only did I meet the master distillers and hang out and chat, I got to try Bluewater's gin and vodka! Tucked away in north Everett along the water, this distillery is in a picturesque location. Inside the distillery you can peep the pot stills and the production line, but it's really hard to miss the absolutely massive sailboat in the middle of the room. Sort of the inspiration for some of their spirits and their logos and their brand, this boat is a showstopper. I heard a small rumor that Bluewater might be moving into a larger space within the same complex and if so, I imagine they'll feature this boat there as well. It's quite impressive! But back to the booze... Chatting about the distillation process, how they started, where their products are available -Space Needle, cough cough - it was really great to learn all about the brand, the passion people have locally for making great local products, and of course tasting those products. Though I don't drink vodka often, I really loved the clean, crisp taste of Bluewater's vodka. In fact, it's the perfect vodka for a Martini or Bloody Mary but just as great to drink straight! The gin is also great in that it wasn't overpowering on the nose. I love gins but when they're too herbal or floral or junpier-y, they tend to be hard to mix into a variety of cocktails. This gin lends itself to just about anything but still has a great classic, clean gin taste. In fact, I took home their new sampler pack and made myself a Red Snapper last night. Can't wait to come back. I'll be looking for Bluewater on shelves at local bars from now on. Super happy to support this fantastic local brand! read more

First time going since pandemic. You have to stand outside in line to order food/drink. We were sat outside, no umbrella. Super hot, wouldn't let us inside because we didn't live in same household. Then had to stand in line again if you wanted anymore food or drink. Then once finished had to again stand in line again 20 minutes to pay in hot sun. Once inside to pay I saw a party of 15 at least who obviously were not in the same household. When we received bill they added 20% for no service. Super chaotic, inconsistent, stressful and unenjoyable experience. Won't be back until I hear they are doing things differently. read more

Bluewater is a fun and lively place for good food and great cocktails near the Everett waterfront. We dropped in right at sundown on a Friday and were able to squeeze in to a table...there was a private event in the adjacent tasting room so the place was packed and vibrant. First word goes to the outstanding cocktails. I got the cedar gimlet, with the house distilled organic gin, lime juice, and cedar tincture, and it was dazzling. Good enough to order a second one a little later. My girlfriend also enjoyed her maritime mule, a Moscow mule with the house made organic vodka and strawberries. The food was pretty good too--I had crab Mac and cheese and my girlfriend had the crab salad; we ended up sharing our dishes, which was good for me because the Mac n cheese was a large serving that was rich and salty...good for sure but I seriously needed a little bit of rabbit food to balance it. We also had an appetizer of olives, almonds and crackers, a nice touch. It sounds like they change the menu often so it will be good to return soon to see what's new. I'm dinging them one star for the service, which was quite friendly but absolute, total chaos. As we sat down, a server lowered the blinds next to our table to ease the direct light of the sunset, and about a minute later the owner came over and raised them again so that we could see the sunset...? And that was an omen for the rest of the night. Servers showed up at random asking if we wanted something after we had just placed orders; other times, drink orders took very, very, verrrry long to arrive. It seemed as if the servers didn't have their own sections and it felt more like a fire drill than it really should have. BUT! Good restaurants in Everett are few and far between, imho, so I'm looking forward to coming back here and I'll be happy to get more chaotic service if it means good food, great drinks, and great atmosphere again. read more

Talk about a class act in the local distillery scene. John and Amy are truly at the top of their game with a vast knowledge of their craft and a product that, in my opinion, is second to none in the marketplace. I was able to sample their vodkas and gin during a tasting and tour of their facility and was very impressed with the quality of each. I'm not much of a fan of gin, but really enjoyed their offering and i could definitely see using it when making a cocktail or two...or seven. For me, the vodka was the real highlight as it hit just the right notes that you expect and none of the harsh bite you can get from lesser products. The quality, heart, and soul put in to each and every bottle really shines through and even the bottle itself looks like it belongs on the top shelf without actually trying to be too fancy. I really can't say enough about Bluewater, everything about this business is absolutely top notch. Definitely worth your time to head on up to Everett to check out their distillery as you are guaranteed to leave happy and maybe a little saucier than when you arrived. read more

Love love love this place! My cousin lives nearby and for years she has been sending me vodka from Bluewater. When we were visiting her last month, she insisted that we have lunch here and we were so glad that she did. The place is super cute, the staff is so friendly and the menu options are terrific but best of all they know how to make the perfect martini. Prices are so reasonable, too! We all loved our lunch. We stopped in for the aquavit on a cold windy day. They have a large patio and inside space for when things are sort of back to normal. We tried the regular and whiskey barrel aquavit and we both both bottles. They sell drink kits and other flavored vodka and liqueurs. They had an elderflower and cardamon liqueur that would be good with soda water. The staff was nice but once we have our shot - we will be back for a cocktail and snack. read more

Wonderful cocktails made with their own fine spirts (vodkas and gin). Fine ambience in the bar or tasting room. This has always been a lovely place to stop in for a drink on the waterfront or before or after visiting the Everett Farmers Market. Now it's a stop for food as well! They are offering a vegan option for lunch or dinner and are serving brunch with a vegan option--delightful. The food is thoughtfully created with local fruits and vegetables well-seasoned. For brunch they offer a sweet potato hash on corn tortillas. For dinner a vegetable wrap (in a lettuce). So vegan and gluten-free. The portions are a bit dainty, but very tasty. Absolutely the best place around to get a drink. They use only the freshest ingredients and every single cocktail I've had there has been amazing. The atmosphere is inviting and the staff is always friendly and helpful. The best seat is at the bar, to get a front row view of the action! My husband and I came here for a date night since it was close by and received positive reviews. We ordered the charcuterie + cheese board to share and for dinner, I ordered the fish tacos. For drinks I had the Salish Sea and one that was featured on their chalk board with a Chai-esque flavor. The food was delicious. I was really surprised as I didn't expect much for the food here since they focus on specialty cocktails - but wow - yummy! The Salish Sea was refreshing and light and so good. I would definitely order that again. The Chai-esque cocktail was a huge contrast to the bright Salish Sea and was more earthy and felt like something you'd drink in front of the fire place during a snow storm. It was good as well but I think too much of a contrast for the Salish Sea...I probably should've stayed with something a bit lighter and citrusy. I noticed that several reviews commented on the service. When we arrived we had no issues with prompt service but as the night went on, our drink orders took a bit more time to get. I think at one point they forgot my husbands order until I placed an order (20 minutes later). We didn't really have issue with it since we were in no rush and we saw only one bartender making all the specialty cocktails. Overall this is a great place and I would highly recommend. read more

Went here and was hoping for a nice evening dinner to ring in the new year. The service was subpar, waited over 20 minutes for my drink because the server forgot. There was no urgency nor any respect towards the patrons. Food sits in a window with nothing to keep it hot, while a fan blows out right next to it. Wonder why our food was lukewarm. Table next to us wasn't informed on a menu change and then waited a very long time as well for their replacement. It's unbelievable to have such a poor experience.. definitely is not worth the price point. Left there with a ding dong of dessert, tiny scoop of ice cream and no real check back ever or any real face to look to. Will not be coming back. read more

Food is very minimal. Salmon chowder is mostly potatoes very little salmon. Charcuterie board only had 8 slices of meat, mostly bread and grapes and had no pickles, mustard, or salami . The very definition of Charcuterie is cured meats which it barely had any. Seriously not worth wasting your time or money. The waitress was to busy chatting with employees to care about taking our order which took 30mins to order. Then the food comes out and beyond disappointing. Upon paying our bill which had an automatic 20%tip which I am fine with if there was actually any service to warrant the 20%. The swipe on credit card they double charged us on one card as we split the bill 3 ways . I was the only one not drinking alcohol and noticed the double charge. I pointed out to our waitress and it seemed to me this move has been done before. After waiting another 20mins to have the extra $40 credited back to card waitress came up dropped off the card and couldn't even mustard the words of oops my bad. Amazing food and great staff!! Can't beat that combo plus they are a spirits distillery! True craft drinks the hipster bar tender even has a savage top knot so what's not to love. We had the duck ravioli. Creamed asparagus soup, Caesar and clams. Everything was great and more then filling for me and my wife. A couple of our dishes were served with some amazing focaccia bread that satisfied our hunger. Will be back and try all new items cause I'm almost certain they are all good. I have to say I really love the blue water distillery the food is creative tasty and fresh. They make their own vodka that is really smooth even tops my grey goose. They have bloody Mary's that are amazing and I am super picky about bloody Mary's they make and sell smoked green olives, Bloody Mary mix and special salts. It is definitely a great place of variety and fresh ideas and flavors. Definitely try this place it's a keeper and I will return time and time again. Love what they are doing with the place. They are not consistent on hours which makes it hard if they are suppose to be open, and they are closing instead of seating you. The rules on which side is open is also frustrating. If they do want to serve you, the food is amazing as well as the in house artisan cocktails. A few tables of folks. Our friends had been there 20-minutes before we arrived and hadn't been given menus or offered water or a drink. We got our water and menus pretty quickly after we arrived and ordered drinks. 25-minutes later we got our drinks. Ordered food, and another round. Food came, no drinks. Floor people kept asking us if we needed anything, and the reply was always, our drinks. It took another 30 minutes for the second round to arrive. There appeared to be two people behind the bar, but they also appeared in no hurry to make anything. Chatting with each other, leaving (maybe to a break?) ... I don't know what was going on but it should not take nearly an hour to get two drinks. By the time the second arrived we had to leave. The food was good, the drinks were amazing ... get some people behind the bar that can work and you'll be golden. read more
