    BL Burrito
    JC C.

Keep in mind that you're paying for the mild ambiance, not the quality of the food. Servers never checked on us throughout the duration of our meal; only interaction was the delivery of the food. I ordered the BL burrito and the photo was deceiving... it was a much smaller portion than anticipated. For $18, it was not worth it. You can find other breakfast burritos at other locations in SF for slightly cheaper and a bigger portion. I would only recommend this place for their drinks.

Located in marina district San Francisco. Cute coffee shop, not busy. They have a lot of food, brunch and lunch items to choose from. I ordered an iced Americano and it was great. Would love to come back and try their food. It's across the street from Peet's coffee, so if Peet's is too crowded to sit or lines are long, or you want real food, the come to Bluestone.

We tried Bluestone Lane for breakfast, when we were staying in the Marina. Not realizing that our stay was the same morning as the San Francisco Marathon, Bluestone Lane was super busy and packed with people when we arrived. Nonetheless, after a short wait, a table was set for us. The restaurant was definitely super short staffed, as a table was set up for us and the server told us they would bring us chairs to finish up the table so we could sit down. After waiting several minutes for the chairs, a guest at one of the other tables offered up some extra chairs, so we were able to finish setting up the table and sit down. The menu had lots of nice and smaller options for kids, which was great since we were with my two younger nieces. One of my nieces got the banana bread with a smashed avocado side, while the other got the blueberry pancakes. I got the BL burrito and my partner got a side of toast and helped the girls with their meals. While the prices for the items were pretty reasonable, the portions were also a bit small. The banana bread in particular was a small portion, with my niece noting that she was still hungry after finishing the plate. Unfortunately, since the restaurant was really busy, we did not want to order any additional items but instead opted to get her more food after leaving the restaurant. My younger niece did really enjoy the blueberry pancakes, which was also a more generous portion. My partner's toast was okay, although not as toasted/crispy as expected. The BL burrito was just okay; it tasted like a very basic breakfast burrito without a ton of flavor, so I doused it in Cholula to give it a little kick. Despite being slammed with marathon goers and understaffed, the servers were really nice and tried their best to be attentive. The food was fairly reasonably priced, but the portions were a bit small.

Bluestone has some pretty good drinks! I always go for their seasonal drinks, for the summer they have lavender matcha, drinks come out relatively quick upon ordering. Staff is pretty helpful too for some recommendations. However when it came to the food, it was mediocre at best. I basically paid $17 for a breakfast burrito and 4 potato wedges?.... I'll definitely be dropping by at their other locations for drinks but not for the food, be warned yall!

The worst bluestone location we've ever visited - very surprising considering its location in the marina. Only two small tables outside by the sidewalk, remaining tables are indoors towards the back and the entire area was quite dark, and honestly a bit depressing. They were short staffed - only two people front of staff, and both looked like they would have loved to be anywhere else but there. When we arrived many tables needed to be cleaned, and there were no water glasses where the water station was. It took a long time to get our meals after we ordered, likely short staffed in the back as well. Food was good, but ambiance was not. Also they only have one bathroom so expect a line.

Very efficient and friendly service. Very clean and well priced. Stop by when I'm in the marina/cow hallow.

    Avocado Smash, bacon, poached egg

12:30p Wednesday I've been to the restaurant on Folsom Street & thought I'd check out the Marina location. Five star experience both places. This neighborhood exudes understated wealth, you know, women in Lululemon carrying their Starbucks cup whilst walking a small white dog. The interior did not disappoint. Clean & bright, some outdoor cafe tables, friendly staff & swift service. Americans don't like waiting. Ordered the Avocado Smash, nixed the feta, substituted sourdough for the multigrain, added poached egg & bacon. (I find the multigrain overpowers the mild avocado). Wow, the beautiful presentation. Fancy restaurant plating, drizzle of oil & chili flakes circling the toast. I wish those chili flakes made its way to the smash, adding a little punch. The generous 5 strips of bacon were perfectly cooked, combo crisp & chewy. Poached egg quite yummy. Good iced tea, probably homemade. Each table gets a large bottle of water. After that yoga class it's good to hydrate. No regrets, I'll definitely return.

One of the best Matcha I've had. It was creamy and delicious. They also have a pretty good food menu too. Gonna have to try it someday.

In San Francisco for a couple of days stayed at the Cow Hollow Inn. Love the breakfast we had here classic yet interesting healthy options for heavier plant based protein. Good coffee! Atmosphere is bright and open spacious. I think the staff is still trying to figure things out. We saw other guest not get any service for 20+ minutes at a time. Food came out hot and fast. It was delicious. But no one ever came back to deliver a check, we had to go to the front to pay. We split the Greek yogurt, parfait, and the athletes burrito. We went back the next day and tried the bacon, egg, and cheese croissant sandwich.

I spent this last weekend in SF and stopped by this spot twice. Synopsis- for a coffee or tea drink, worth the visit otherwise steer clear. First time, walked in for a quick takeaway cappuccino while shopping in the area with a friend. Ordered at the counter, paid, and was quickly on the way. Cappuccino was great! Both my friend and I thought the ambiance was adorable and the menu item descriptions for food sounded yum. We came back the next day for brunch. Barely greeted upon entering and when we inquired were told to have a seat anywhere and someone would be with us. No one came. We noticed the QR code on the table. Immediately disappointed that this is not a sit down and be served type of place but instead a place an order online and then be served- I know this is a newer trend amongst some cafes and personally I hate the set-up but we were already seated and hoped for the best as some places I've been to like this still provided good service despite having to pay and tip prior to receiving any food/service. I had a few questions as I perused the menu and each time I had to get up to ask the barista near the front door. He seemed bothered by my second time getting up to ask about some additions to a sandwich and also why a certain drink offered on a menu at the counter did not show online. We ordered. Our food arrived at different times but that's okay as we placed individual orders. Each time the same staff member dropped the plate off and barely said a word. We had to figure out where to get our own water, silverware, etc... Seemed quite rude especially for a place that automatically defers to the standard 18%, 20% tip options, for what? Slamming a plate in front of us? lol, what a joke. Both my friend and I were impressed by the presentation at least. Though that's all that was impressive. The toast on my burrata and prosciutto sandwich was soggy, some from the salad dressing (I upgraded), since it was served in the same bowl, and some not really sure why. The prosciutto was not good, my additional fried egg I up charged for was hard to find- maybe a tiny piece of fried egg white. The salad greens were wilted. Such a waste for a $25 meal. The cappuccino at least once again was good. My friend's breakfast plate was also described as bland by her and one of the poached eggs, overcooked. I did notice another customer was able to pay by card at the end of his meal, maybe that gives better service though won't improve the food. So while the ambiance is very appealing and cute with French cafe chairs and beautiful green subway tile work, the service was below par and the food as well. Don't waste your time or your money. Picture of the only good thing here- the cappuccino

Come here for their coffee. I recommend their mocha which is made of a superfood. Service was good too

    Latte

Stop by from a walk with a friend. The award-winning coffee beans were captured by our interest. So we came in and try the coffee, I got the latte and my friend got the cappuccino. She is more enthusiastic about the coffee and she has more experience with coffee than I do. She said it pretty good the coffee beans has Cocoa, clove, and honeycomb flavor. I can taste the clove notes in the latte, as it brings all the flavors together, with richness and smoothness. Also they have a lunch menu as well. Definitely come back for more coffee.

Indoor & Outdoor Seating. Complimentary Drink Upon Downloading Bluestone Lane App. Popular, Especially During Mornings or Weekends. Order-Ahead Available Via Bluestone Lane App. Free & Paid Parking Around Perimeter. Cute, Spacious Ambiance. Friendly, Attentive Staff. Tasty Mocha Drink. See Below for More Info: Indoor & Outdoor Seating: Bluestone Lane Marina offers indoor and outdoor seating. The indoor setup consists of tables for parties of two to four people, although if bigger parties, they would most likely join tables, as well as bar seating. The outside parklet has tables for smaller parties; there is ample space for furry friends or strollers. Complimentary Drink Upon Downloading Bluestone Lane App: Bluestone Lane Marina gives you a complimentary drink upon downloading the Bluestone Lane App. The signup process is quick and consists of giving your name and email address. Popular, Especially During Mornings & Weekends: Bluestone Lane Marina is popular, especially during the morning and weekend. My first visit was on a weekday before eight, and there were over ten people in line to get drinks/pastries for takeout. On the weekends, more people are doing dine-in with a good amount of people getting takeout. Order-Ahead Available Via Bluestone Lane App: Bluestone Lane Marina has the option to order-ahead via the Bluestone Lane App, which is great if you want to minimize your wait time. Free & Paid Parking Around Perimeter: Bluestone Lane Marina has free and paid parking around the perimeter. The free parking is off of Chestnut in the Marina neighborhood; it is two-hour parking, which I would follow to not get a parking ticket for staying over the time. There are parking meters along Chestnut and Lombard. If you prefer a garage, there is one a few blocks away on Pierce Street between Chestnut and Lombard. Cute, Spacious Ambiance: Bluestone Lane Marina has a cute, spacious layout. The interior is relaxing and offers a great backdrop for photos. Friendly, Attentive Staff: Bluestone Lane Marina staff are friendly and attentive. I was warmly greeted with a smile, a pleasant surprise in SF. Tasty Mocha Drink: Bluestone Lane Marina has one of the better mochas I have had in San Francisco. The consistency was lovely, an amalgamation of richness and smoothness. I recommend the mocha, especially if you enjoy chocolate.

Cappuccino (light dusting of cocoa). Really tasty.

You either have reservations or you're a walk in and you stand in line until a table is available for you. At first this was strange, but I think it makes for a better experience. The team was incredible, they were so kind on a day that can be stressful for a small restaurant. We had incredible food. I was so happy to get my Eggs Royale and my husband said the French toast was the best he's ever had. (Even comparing it to French toast in Paris) No notes. This will be our Mother's Day place going forward next time with reservations.

It seems like this place is an asian fusion brunch place incorporating french dishes into thai/asian themed dishes which is up our alley. We made a reservation at 1:45 PM and we had to wait for about an extra 30 minutes before getting seated. Initially, I wanted to try their crab fried rice but unfortunately they were out of crab. We decided to get the Alcatraz Escape and the Brioche french toast which were recommended by the wait staff. The staff was generally friendly and accommodating but I can tell they were swamped and stressed out with all the people they were trying to serve. The food itself tasted decent, the Alcatraz Escape had a tasty flavor which incorporates tom yum paste (sweet, sour, tangy flavor) into their scramble with about 4 shrimps. The side of crispy chicken was good but nothing that stood out to us. The brioche was soft but there wasn't much flavoring besides the fruits and caramelized banana. It was served with evaporated milk which made the brioche soft but not adding much flavor to it. The price however was quite pricey. For two dishes as a side we paid around $78 with tax and tip.
