I seen this fish head, birdie, and the sun all at once on my social media feed in SF
    Juan V.

San Francisco on Memorial Day weekend in is a Spring rite of passage . Which means there is less than month before the start of Summer fun in the sun begins. It also means the party people will also partying on Sunday night on Memorial Day weekend. This year there lots events to attend like FoodieLand for the foodies. The party animals will be at Carnival in the Mission District where over 500,000 party people congregate for the food and music in San Francisco. After all the partying you will have to wake up in the morning and smell the coffee to charge up for the World Cup in June of 2026 . Brazil the home of the most soccer World Cups and the biggest Carnival in the world is also located in the Equator. What if I told you coffee hotter than the sun at the Equator is available in San Francisco. There is a place where you can get a taste of the world in a cup. It's located in Fort Mason in the Marina and it's called Equator. On a Spring stroll on Memorial Day weekend I landed at the Equator in SF. This Equator is located in Fort Mason which served as an Army post for over 100 years in San Francisco. Although you can have a view of Golden Gate Bridge from this location it is not located next the Golden Bridge like its other Equator Coffee location. This Equator location is around the Marina Green by the water with photographic views of the Golden Gate Bridge from a distance. This location you will find outdoor seating . Inside you will see lots of coffee from around the world from countries like Ecuador ( named after the Equator) , Colombia, Ethiopia, Costa Rica, Honduras, and Kenya. They have seasonal coffees like the Cherry Blossom. They also have sparkling lemonade which can be sweet and sour like some in SF. They also have matcha for Don Juan de la Matcha. I got the butter croissant and it was tasty but a bit flakey like some in SF. If you want to enjoy the taste of the world in a cup go on a coffee run to the Equator. If you are on a coffee run there is a place "stop "where you can enjoy the sun and the coffee "drop" across the street from Safeway where the party people go to the Marina to grocery "shop" and hang out at the Equator with your iPad ,favorite book, and "laptop" If you are on a coffee run by the salty water in SF make sure you are "pacing "if you start the coffee run from Oracle Park in "China Basin" use a fitness app to do some "map tracing" making sure you land on the Equator in the Marina at "Fort Mason"

We made a quick stop at Equator Coffees on our way to the Golden Gate Bridge, and it ended up being one of the highlights of the morning. The coffee was excellent. I ordered the shakerrato--three shots of espresso with oat milk and a touch of cinnamon, and it was perfectly creamy with a rich, bold flavor that still felt smooth and balanced. My son went with a hot chocolate, which was absolutely decadent flavors that are deep, chocolatey, and indulgent without being overly sweet.

Matcha latte with a touch of vanilla syrup(!) ...very Yummy! Great setting close to Marina Hreen & the Presidio + Golden Gate Bridge!

My friend and I stopped by after visiting the Fort Mason Farmers' Market. There was a long line, but it moved quickly. We both ordered the iced strawberry matcha cloud. The strawberry foam on top was delicious and not too sweet. The foam doesn't mix well into the matcha though, so you'll be drinking each part separately. Keep in mind you'll also be paying almost $9 for a matcha. They did have a bowl of free dog treats which was cute, but it was empty.

Amazing location. Amazing coffee. Amazing service. Great pastries. I don't always run for coffee, but when I do, it's for Equator Coffees in Fort Mason by the Marina. It's a wonderful location with wonderful views. Quite a bit of outdoor seating. Bring your friends who are tourists or in-town! It's a SF experience (which, unfortunately, can mean that there'll be a long line involved.) I like their pastries and specialty lattes and seasonal drinks like strawberry cream matcha. It's not overly sweet and it's good quality matcha! They have nice Fall and holiday drinks as well.

Whether you're stopping for a quick pick me up or need a place to sit and people watch this cute coffee shop was the perfect spot. My sister and I stopped by and found seating outside to get a little work done and people watch. We got a black coffee, chocolate croissant, and a lemon loaf which were all really good. The workers were so nice, I needed a place to charge my Macbook and they offered to charge it in the back for me while I walked around with my dog. It's right next to Fort Mason and a quick walk to the San Francisco Bay Trail right by the water.

The coffee and food is always delicious. I highly recommend the cardamom chocolate pastry! It's amassing! And pairs perfectly with a cup of coffee or a latte. This coffee spot of great when you want to grab a cup to go and enjoy a stroll oblong the shoreline of the marina district. There is paid parking near by.

Right by the marina and near the Golden Gate Bridge, Equator Coffees is a great choice. Whether you're visiting or from the area, the marina view of the bridge is just stunning, especially with a delicious beverage in hand. I loved that there were nearby benches to sit and enjoy your drink or meal. I ordered a seasonal strawberry matcha, and it was great to have the option of either a tea or latte base. The tea base for the matcha really enhanced the earthy flavor, and the strawberry cold foam was creamy and mildly sweet. Service was quick but very friendly!

    Iced Brainwash Latte

My go to Brainwash Latte served hot or cold that contains what they call functional mushrooms that is supposedly good for health. Taste is nutty, chocolatey and smooth. This location is more to go, with a long table with a few seats. Plenty of tables outside. Staff are friendly.

Equator coffee is right by the water which is nice. It was super crowded and drink took a while to come out so may want to order ahead. I got the chai latte, the flavor was okay. The red velvet cookie I got was really unique and yummy. There's lots of baked goods to choose from and the barista was helpful with recommendations. The seating was taken inside but there's enough outdoor tables.

I met up with a friend and warmed up with a drink from Equator Coffee near the Fort Mason area. I'm not much of a coffee drinker these days, so I ordered my go-to hot matcha latte. We ended up enjoying our drinks outside, which made for a nice, low-key meeting.

    Great place to sit outside

easily might go to spot for in the marina sit outside enjoy San Francisco. Marina is a Golden Gate Bridge place to park away from downtown.

    Habibi Iced Latte
    Christy L.

Perfect spot to enjoy a tasty coffee by the water. The coffee quality here is amazing. I tried their seasonal Habibi Latte - orange blossom, cardamom, clove, vanilla syrup, espresso, and steamed milk and absolutely loved it. It was a very festive and fun beverage to enjoy while walking around the marina! It can get quite popular and busy, especially on weekends. We've waited over half an our for our drinks before, so plan accordingly!

And it kind of looks like a convenience store from the inside. But if you look deeper into the interior, you'll see an ordering counter and a kitchen. That's because the Twisted Café REALLY is a café. It's open every single day from 7AM - 10PM serving breakfast bagel and croissant sandwiches, breakfast toasts, bowls, pastries, smoothies, specialty sandwiches, teas and coffees. There are racks of potato chips and the like, refrigerated cases with soda, juices, beer, energy drinks, and a few grocery items. There are a few tables and chairs inside and a few outside in the courtyard next to the Infinity hotel. We were two of a dozen relatives staying at Infinity, all in town for a wedding. Our group made quite a few trips into the Twisted Café for snacks , drinks, breakfast, sandwiches, etc. The day of the wedding, we didn't want a big lunch, so my wife and I split a Veggie Delight Sandwich ($14) with Hummus, avocado, provolone cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, everything bagel seeds, tomatoes, and arugula on toasted ciabatta bread. It was really loaded up thick with all of those goodies and was an excellent value for the price, quantity and quality. A bag of chips was $1.99 and a Cappuccino was $5. Pretty reasonable pricing as well. The service was excellent, from the cheerful gent at the morning counter to the smiling young lady at the afternoon counter. There is a big screen TV on their exterior wall facing the courtyard, and we saw a group of soccer fans watching the World Cup! That seemed very appropriate given the "community vibes" we felt at the Twisted Café.

Despite its size, it offers comfortable seating inside and out. Sitting inside, which is what I opted for, I could see the busy foot and car traffic pass by on Lombard Street. They offer a variety of breakfast options, and their Avocado Toast looked inviting, but I stayed with a cup of drip coffee. There was only one person behind the counter, and she welcomed me as soon as I walked in and took my order. The coffee was strong and flavorful, not too watery. I took my time sipping it while looking around the cafe from my seat. If I visit again, I would love to try their Avocado Toast and another hot cup of coffee here.

It had a very subtle matcha flavor, but I couldn't taste the grassiness. The sea green color was aesthetically pleasing when combined with the grassy matcha hue. As a drink, it is refreshing, but as a matcha latte, I felt there was too much milk, which drowns out the matcha flavor. 6/5 Kopi Klepon, Iced This was too delicious, I kept stealing sips from my partner (instead of drinking my own drink) and would order this one again.
