My husband and I stopped by Equator because it was a friend's recommendation and we were both super impressed!! I ordered an iced matcha latte and my husband ordered a cold brew. I've tried a lot of matcha lattes and I'd say that this one is up there in the ones I've had--I really enjoyed how it wasn't overly sweet and that you can really taste the matcha in it. My husband said he liked how smooth his cold brew was and that you can taste the notes of the coffee. The store itself is pretty small and has very limited seating. It is located right off the water though so it's the perfect spot to pick up some caffeine to take on a stroll. There was a bit of a line when we went, but it moved pretty quickly. Service was average. Overall, I'd highly recommend Equator and would definitely come back if I'm in the area. read more

Years ago, I would've scoffed at someone who ordered from Equator as it lowkey gave off Starbucks / Philz vibes, but suffice to say, to this date, they have definitely elevated their menu. We ordered: Iced Caramelized Banana Latte Habibi Latte It is kind of hectic ordering as the cafe and entrance can get congested easily because of the small space. It seems far more efficient to order drinks online / via the Equator site, however this part of the area in particular gets popular with the Fort Mason Farmers Market during the weekend. Yikes, I fear this location is in need of some help! I used to always say I wouldn't leave a "bad" review and try to talk to a manager, but this location was pretty chaotic. I've been going to this location for at least 3 years. When I went on this day, the quality of the cappuccino was noticeably down bad. It was busy with a conference but.. I've been before in the past during a busy farmers market Sunday and still enjoyed the coffee. It was super loud too, hard to communicate my order without feeling like I'm screaming lol and then the bagel I ordered was so tufff :( Ambiance -- busy! This Equator location is around the Marina Green by the water with photographic views of the Golden Gate Bridge from a distance. This location you will find outdoor seating . Inside you will see lots of coffee from around the world from countries like Ecuador ( named after the Equator) , Colombia, Ethiopia, Costa Rica, Honduras, and Kenya. They have seasonal coffees like the Cherry Blossom. They also have sparkling lemonade which can be sweet and sour like some in SF. They also have matcha for Don Juan de la Matcha. I got the butter croissant and it was tasty but a bit flakey like some in SF. If you want to enjoy the taste of the world in a cup go on a coffee run to the Equator. My friend and I stopped by after visiting the Fort Mason Farmers' Market. There was a long line, but it moved quickly. We both ordered the iced strawberry matcha cloud. The strawberry foam on top was delicious and not too sweet. The foam doesn't mix well into the matcha though, so you'll be drinking each part separately. Whether you're stopping for a quick pick me up or need a place to sit and people watch this cute coffee shop was the perfect spot. My sister and I stopped by and found seating outside to get a little work done and people watch. We got a black coffee, chocolate croissant, and a lemon loaf which were all really good. The workers were so nice, I needed a place to charge my Macbook and they offered to charge it in the back for me while I walked around with my dog. Came to this location an hour before closing and the staff was very friendly. We had a pretty large order but they were so accommodating. Line and wait were a little longer than what I like to spend waiting for a coffee but also came here around peak time Sunday at 11 am. The lady who gave me my drink was also really nice so I appreciated that :) The food looks great in here! While we were waiting it seemed like a lot of people were getting the breakfast sandwich thats on the menu so definitely a good tip if you are looking for something quick to eat. In terms of the drinks, coffee is definitely a go to here. I unfortunately got a chai and it was just not that great, probably better hot but I wont be trying that next time haha! I haven't loved my time in San Francisco, as in my first evening here I saw a homeless guy fight a security guard in a Walgreens and witnessed more than a few junkies shooting up on the sidewalk with no regard for human life lol. But I've had such a negative view point since that first night, I decided today to walk as much as the city as I can with an open mind. I always find walking through a city gives you the best feel for it, boots on the ground let's pound the pavement. Legs feed the wolf. All this to say I'm at Equator Coffee right now, outside in these red metal chairs with my bomb cold brew and delicious butter croissant, getting off my feet for a sec to recharge for the rest of the journey. I love this area of SF tho... that's what locals call it yeah? SF? I hope y'all don't call it "San Fran" that just sounds wrong aahahaha. But, yeah. I love how much nature is over here. I love breathing this clean, crispy air it's good for the soul I swear to god ahahaha. It reminds me a lot of Vancouver, and I think Vancouver is the most underrated city in the world but that's a convo no one wants to have. SF is growing on me. The cherry blossom Matcha latte was pretty good. I enjoyed the cherry blossom foam, it's pretty sweet. My friend had the coffee which she thinks it's ok. The services were a bit slow that day we waited at least 15 minutes to get our coffee. The staffs are nice. This equator coffee location was so appreciated on a recent visit to Fort Mason. My partner and I had a strong need for caffeine, though I am a tea drinker and she a coffee drinker. Fortunately, equator had two really excellent fall-themed drinks for both coffee AND tea. They also had matcha, which I'm excited to try next time I go there. During my visit, a big event was going on at Fort Mason so service was...elongated. They definitely were doing the best they could, but it's a small space and you can only make drinks so fast. I think we waited 10-15 min for our drinks. I don't hold it against them at all but something to consider when things like that are happening nearby.
