At first he said he only had the afternoon available but if anything was available in the morning he would call to let me know. He did just that and the movers showed up early in the morning. The prices were extremely reasonable. They packed everything and made sure to protect our furniture. They were fast, patient, professional and it seemed like they still enjoyed what they were doing. We were moving into a brand new building and the elevators were still not operating, but they moved us with no complaints to the 3rd floor in 2hrs time. The movers were honest and they admitted that they had damaged an item (nothing even major) and they gave us a discount. Will definitely use them again in the future!! Thank you guys!

The dresser was broken while it was being carried up the stairs by two of the workers. The two men used a dolly to help them(very heavy item) and while they were coming up the first flight of stairs, the dresser fell forward, down the stairs and shattered. The owner, Francis, assured me that it would be fixed or I would get the money for it, depending on what the insurance company said. I had been communicating with him a few times back and forth since November 9. He would send mini updates throughout the insurance process, saying it takes about 90 days to hear back about a claim. When he finally did text me about the item, he was asking for an address to pick up the dresser. The movers took the dresser with them after it broke. The dresser never even made it to my apartment. When I let Francis know this, he accused me of lying and saying his movers did not take the dresser! Why would I lie about having the dresser and then not getting it fixed?! What sense does that make?! I truly believe he had his movers take my dresser then discard of it because MY DRESSER WENT MISSING IN THIN AIR! He only wants to give me the loss percentage his company pays out for damaged or lost items. The percentage per pound is an absolute scam! This was my first time using a moving company and I'm so disappointed about my experience. They took extra care with my king size bed and mirrored furniture, making sure those items were well-protected. Once they moved me into my new home, they made sure my furniture was placed exactly where I wanted, boxes stacked neatly and all packing materials removed promptly. The guys were professional, courteous and most importantly, efficient. From the first encounter with Russell Guffey, who reserved the move, to the last encounter with Drew and the team, I have nothing but high praise for this company. Fantastic Moves poorly packed our $3,200+ 65-inch Sony Bravia A90 TV for our recent move from…read moreDallas to Austin, TX. On seven previous moves over a span of 36 years, never was our TV so flimsily packed. Past movers built a wooden crate to fit the TV, with abundant packing around the TV inside. Not so in this case. When movers unpacked our TV in Austin, there was a large, long crack in the screen and the TV wouldn't work. I took it to Bond's TV Service in Austin and they determined that the TV could not be fixed. A replacement panel for it was no longer available. I spoke Nick at Fantastic Moves about the loss and he indicated that their insurance would pay us 35 cents/pound, which translated to about $27. How ridiculous! He agreed to speak with the owner of the company about my request that they provide a more fair adjustment for our loss, but no action was taken. Silence was their response. We had Fantastic Moves put our things in storage in Austin for about three weeks while we bought and closed on a house purchase. We then hired Unicorn Movers to bring our goods from storage to our house. So Nick immediately blamed the local Austin movers for our loss, refusing to take any responsibility. I went with her recommendation because I have no idea how to calculate cubic feet for furniture. Day of move got a call that my shipment would cost an extra $1400 because there was more cubic feet and because it was last minute. I was fine with paying for the cubic feet but they tacked on another 700 and then said they would have to repair the boxes $500. Felt swindled. Took the hit and canceled on the spot. Don't get hooked on the "good deal" this company promotes. They will say one thing and then do another. Reported to BBB.

Booked the service through HireAHelper, and was assigned this company for unloading at Dallas for a…read moremove from Boston to Dallas. The unloading was scheduled for Tuesday 05/06 well in advance. I called the PoC the day before to let them know that the weather shows heavy rain and the trailer was parked about 30 feet from the apartment. The PoC confirmed they can still complete it (despite me mentioning that the forecast indicates heavy rain) and did not want to reschedule. The crew arrived on time and moved some stuff before it started raining heavily. They damaged (broke) one of the drawers from my center table and LEFT THE TRUCK DOOR OPEN when it started raining with the ramp outside. This got all the stuff (speakers, boxes and bags) towards the entrance wet. When the crew returned to close the door, they just dumped things on top of each other resulting in broken glasses etc. The PoC and the crew confirmed they would come at 10am the next day to complete the move, but did not show up. Upon calling the PoC, I was informed they can come later in the day, and when I mentioned it doesn't work for me I was told I'll get a call back in 5-10 min. Waited for about 45 minutes and didn't hear anything back. Tried calling multiple times but the PoC did not answer. Unprofessional, lack basic communication, and no regard for your stuff.
