I will not be returning to this facility for several reasons: When we went for our consultation, my dog was being treated for a UTI (common for diabetics). Her regular vet had prescribed her a two-week course of antibiotics. NHVS informed us that a one-month regimen was in order and therefore would refill her current antibiotic to provide us with the full one-month supply. When I arrived home and compared receipts, I discovered quite a price discrepancy: From my regular vet: Zeniquin, 25 mg, Qty. 14, price: $38.14 From NHVS: Zeniquin, 25 mg, Qty. 14, price: $64.00 A $106 fructosamine test had also been run on my dog at NHVS to evaluate how effectively her blood glucose was being controlled. We were called several days after our visit with results of the test and a recommendation that in another two weeks the same test be done. At the time of the call, it was not convenient for me to make that follow-up appointment; I indicated I would call back the next day to do so. I was told that the doctor would not need to be seen; since this was only a "blood draw," I needed to make an appointment to see a technician and not the physician. The following day I called to make an appointment for two weeks hence. The only times that were available EVER were at 9 AM or at noon on any given day. Requests for appointments after 3 PM (when I got out of work) were not available: the doctor had "blocked off" every afternoon, and "if she's not available, her technicians are not available." Explaining to the front desk that the options provided would require me to take yet another day off from work - for a simple blood draw -- drew an ambivalent reaction. I ended our conversation with no appointment made, and frankly, no intention to ever call back to make one. I was already furious about being charged double for medication, but a veterinarian's office that is this rigid about their scheduling does not deserve the opportunity to have my beloved dog as their patient. read more

I truly wish I had took the time to read the reviews before bringing my 9 yr old toy poodle here for surgery. This place was referred by my vet and I did check 1 other place however they did not offer the surgery that my dog needed. So against my instincts I went ahead and scheduled the procedure as everyone stated in the reviews the prices are outrageous and that's all they definitely care about. My dog was scheduled for a TECA surgery (Total ear canal ablation) given an est. that amounted to 7-9 grand. Proceeded with the surgery requested an itemized bill and also asked if there was something within the process that was not necessary in order to bring down the cost. That was done was given another est with a low to high cost 6-8 and this is just rounding of the total. Day of the surgery I was told I had to pay 8 grand up front when the est stated 6 grand starting. I advise that's not what was told to me, front desk check and came back with 7100 I went ahead and paid mind you I intended to pay 6200 per the est. but that was the lower end and anticipated I may pay a little more depending on what all they do. Day after surgery everything ok, I've been receiving updates on my son spoke with Dr Wong was given the option to leave him another day or bring him home. I chose to leave him to make sure he gets the care he needed and not have any setbacks coming home too early. My first question was do I have to pay extra for this was advised that 2 days was already included in what I paid. That should of been a red flag right there because why offer to send him home if I paid for 2 days hospital stay. Then later that day I received a text stating my bill is currently 7500+ and by 9am I will accrue additional charges, minus the 7100 I already paid of course. I called was explained that is what the est of the lower to higher charges mean but it would not go pass the high end. Ok these things need to be explained for one, 2nd paying 7100 upfront instead of the lower end 6200 of that est was told they charge mid range of your est because usually at the end when customers are given the end price it be such a big difference and usually get the reaction I'm giving now. Once again your customer deserves that explanation ppl work hard for their money not to be used by your discretion how it should be spent. Fast forward to the day of discharge early that morning after the so call 9 am that my bill will be going up text I received the day before, I got another text my bill is now 8000+ which is now past the high end est given, I texted back I was advised it would not pass the high end and I'm not paying that. I follow up with a call spoke with Dr Wong again that was down right rude this time and proceeded to tell me that it's only over by $89, don't give a damn if it was 50 cents my bill was not to exceed 8000 and once again they still have him and did not call me to discharge him as of yet so that's subject to increase again. I reminded her what she stated and asked when can I come get my son at this point. She then stated there were charges that was incorrect but they were administering meds oral instead of through IV and that wasn't updated and I was only told this because I'm asking for itemized copies. I was there within the hr and my bill was lowered to what it should of been and I have my son home. Never and I stress that highly, never would I be back nor recommend this place. read more

Amazing care at reasonable prices considering the level of skill being practiced here. My dog had a spontaneous pneumothorax in June 2017 and actually coded while in their care. They were able to bring him back with CPR and continue on to his life saving surgery. That was 1.5+ years ago and he is doing so well! Most recently brought my very skittish Siamese for a very serious liver condition that flared up pretty quickly. They considered his special needs and anxiety and kept in constant contact with me about him. He isn't out of the woods yet but I am taking him home today to start our long road to recovery. If your pet is stable enough to make the drive to this location, do it. All departments are so nice and thorough. So blessed to have this as an option over the other specialty/emergency clinics that are closer to me. read more

Outrageous pricing. I understand that this is an emergency and specialty hospital so the prices are going to be more than if you went to a regular vet. Knowing and understanding this, I decided to take my foster kitten here. She had suddenly faded in the early hours of the morning and needed an emergency euthanasia. I made it clear from the onset that I didn't have a lot of money to work with. But I could not watch her slowly die any longer. The doctor was compassionate and was able to work with me for a humane euthanasia. But! To be present I had to pay for a catheter, so I agreed to pay for the catheter. I should have asked what the price of it was before I agreed. The catheter was $90. That is 15x more expensive than the drugs used for the procedure!!!! I don't know where this hospital gets the nerve to mark up their supplies to such an extent! read more

I took my little Isabell ("Bella") to BluePearl 24/7 Vet Emergency Clinic ("Clinic") in Spring, TX, on 4/8/23 around 6:30 p.m. because Bella was struggling to breathe. The sign at the Clinic stated 2 types of consul: 1. Std. (~$99); 2. Specialized (~$233), but the Clinic wanted an $860 deposit for various tests that the Doctor might order & possibly overnight stay & will issue a refund for services not rendered. A staff member verbally discussed the deposit amt & I signed a form after her presentation. However, the Clinic only gave us copies of the credit card receipts. My multiple requests to the Front Desk for an itemized bill for the $860 were ignored. During my call to the Clinic's Practice Mgr., Ashely, on 4/10/23 at 11:43 a.m. [CST] regarding the Technician's grossly negligent/unqualified diagnosis & her egregious/callous comments, I requested an itemized bill, which I still haven't received. Since Bella didn't stay the night, at a minimum, the Clinic should've refunded the cost of such. Also, the Clinic should've refunded the cost of tests/services not rendered. Since all refunds are issued at the sole discretion of the Clinic, the probability of including the cost of services not rendered increases exponentially; no paperwork to hold the Clinic accountable. The Doctor explained that Bella's condition was serious, & she might pass. However, he didn't stipulate a mandatory overnight stay. The Technician (short petit Hispanic woman with unappealing makeup) taking care of Bella took us to visit here. I told the Technicnati we were taking Bella home. The Technician, not an RN or LVN, thought she was qualified to override the doctor by insisting we leave Bella at the Clinic overnight. By insisting that Bella was going, she got angry. This was not a person truly concentered about Bella but a person wanting to pad the bill. We were very emotional, which didn't keep the Technician from saying, 'You are being selfish. This is about Bella not you. This dog is going to die tonight. I'm telling you that she is not going to make it thru the night. Do you really want to see her suffocate to death? Do you have medication to put down? Are you ready to deal with the fluids seeping from her dead body? At least, if her condition worsens, I can euthanize her.' I was dumbfounded that this person had the audacity to make such vial comments while her co-workers present chose not to intervene. For the next 5 days, I stayed right next to Bella waiting on her to pass because that is what the Clinic diagnosed. The worst 5 days of my life. I did nothing but cry. Today (4/14/23) Bella is alive & thriving. This Clinic is all about how much money they can get out of the pet owners, & are not ashamed to use their love for their pets as leverage. read more

On July 24, 2019, I took my service dog in for a routine cataract surgery. I paid over $3000 to have the surgery. My dog, Beau, was in great shape and health. She was running around and very playful. After the surgery I received a call that she had a little complication with her heart so they were going to retain her for the night to continue monitoring. I was up all night and called several times to check on her. I picked her up on the morning of 7/25/19. I didn't leave her side. I made several calls over the next 36 hours because she didn't seem to be doing well, plus a follow up visit on 7/26/19. Beau died a traumatic death, in my arms, late on the afternoon of 7/26/19. Despite the amount of money I had already rendered and the multiple calls to confirm the behaviors and symptoms were not of concern, BluePearl continues to demand more money. The money I paid upfront was suppose to cover follow up visits, but since they murdered my dog by neglecting the behaviors and symptoms, she didn't use any of those follow up visits. Now, I have a collection agency calling to collect an additional $650. The torture of watching her choke and bleed out in my arms should be enough for the clinic to write that small amount off as a loss and get it back in taxes. The coughing, foaming, and bleeding took a matter of seconds to take her life. The pain of her loss still haunts me today, almost a year later. I've never been so heartbroken in my life and the audacity of these heartless veterinarians to continue the torment by calling me to collect. Every time I see the their name or drive past the building, I'm re-traumatized. If your pet has medical needs, find a clinic that cares; find a clinic that won't forsake your concerns when you call multiple times. If you want to keep your dog alive, don't use BluePearl! My darling cat had a heart failure early this morning today and I brought him over to the BluePearl Pet Hospital for evaluation. From the moment I stepped in I was taken care of on the highest possible level. Unfortunately, my Benny did not make it and I had to say goodbye to him. Compassion, care, understanding, and empathy from everyone who cared for Benny this morning were above any expectations. I had other cats that were older and left us a while ago and never we were treated in a such royal way. I would like to mention all these wonderful and amazing people by name: Norma and Wendy at the reception and admission, Dr. Nguyen who evaluated Benny and provided me with the diagnosis, and most of all a technician - Amber! With 4 bulldogs we tend to find ourselves at blue pearl sometimes more than we wanna be, but with an Amazing staff of people like Taylor Vaughn you almost don't mind coming, because you know your fur babies are going to be treated like they are his. We have known Taylor for a few years. We met when he worked with Banfeild. He is not only an amazing human being, but he is very loving and caring to my babies when they are there. He takes the time to make sure they are comfortable and loved on and have everything they need. I can only imagine that his job is not always easy and that it would take a special person like Taylor to do the job that he has. We are very grateful to have him work at Blue Pearl. My babies remember him every time they see him and it makes having to leave them over night not so difficult, because we know that they will be in caring hands and treated like family. I wish I could've read the reviews but In an emergency you would think the place you're taking your pet , that their primary concern would be the well being of the dog first and foremost. After being quoted 9k for my 8 month old puppy's surgery, leaving only paying 1k for an exam, ONE X-ray photo and some medication. Her leg wasn't splinted nothing .... I had to ask 3 different times what people normally do if they aren't able to pay that out of pocket . Finally they recommended me to another place where I was quoted 3k it would've been less had they been able to use the X-ray and unfortunately were not because the new surgeon could not see the specific area letting me know that typically there are multiple views/shots. I WAS ALSO NOT TOLD that my dog had elevated levels in her liver. I was so distraught because I didn't know how I was going to afford this out of pocket when I just had to help bury a family member ..... oh and not to mention one of the higher ups stated that they would be able to bring the cost down to 6900... yeah right . A year ago this month, I lost my senior boxer boy to sudden heart failure. Less than 6 months later, I lost my senior boxer girl to a brain tumor. The life in our house was restored when we brought home our new boxer boy, Shiner, at the end of April. When he began squealing/screaming last Thursday night after awkwardly jumping off my son's lap in an excited moment of puppy play, we were devastated for him. I've never seen an animal or human in so much pain. For more than a decade, I've considered myself incredibly blessed that my pet emergencies had occurred during our regular vet's operating hours. I was very worried entrusting his care to another facility and their providers, but we rushed him to Blue Pearl. They were very busy and had several critical patients already there. Even still, from the moment we walked in, they quickly identified that he needed a private room due to the fact that he has not yet had his last round of booster shots. As should be expected, our wait time for him to be assessed was longer than any pet owner would like to see in an emergent situation. However, when I interrupted one of the staff members en route to another patient's room to request some pain management interventions (at the very least), they took my concerns seriously and sent someone our way promptly. The staff, vet techs, and vets were incredibly compassionate, thorough, and skilled. Even more impressive is the way the entire facility is run with regard to communication (both within the facility, and with the patient's families.) They do an incredible job with ascertaining which pet needs attention first. And, to those with negative reviews regarding wait times and having their pet's care delayed, I would gladly wait longer so that attention could be given to a pet in need of life saving care. Our puppy ended up having surgery Friday morning for 3 fractures in his elbow joint. I received prompt telephone updates from vets and techs. When I called for updates, I was always greeted with a friendly voice, and immediately transferred to a staff member for same. Moreover, they accommodated us with family visits with our puppy during his admission, and provided us with a very thorough meeting with a knowledgeable vet tech who outlined his discharge care instructions when we picked him up. We were also given the email address to the orthopedic surgeon in the event we end up with non-urgent questions. Of course, we were also invited to call with any emergent questions regarding his care and recovery. Surprisingly, at checkout, we were told that we were getting a $700+ refund as his total bill came in lower than the low-end estimate for his care (which we had already paid prior to said care.). Given that it was a low-end estimate deposit, we were fully expecting to have a balance due at pick up. I hope to never have to use an emergency facility for my pets again, but in the event I do, I will absolutely return to Blue Pearl. Daisy Mae The Great Pyrenees ate about three dozen chocolate chip cookies. I called the vet and they said to call the poison control center to get a case number. I called and paid the $75.00 for them to have a plan ready for when we arrived to Blue Pearl 24/7 Pet Hospital. We arrived within 40 minutes of Daisy ingesting the cookies. I was told when we arrived it could be up to six hours to be seen. After several hours of waiting I asked to give Daisy some water and they said no because they were going to induce vomiting. When the vet came into the room he told me it was too late to make Daisy throw up. The chocolate was already digested in her system. At that point he gives me my options that cost a lot more than the cost to induce vomiting. He said she wasn't showing any symptoms . I paid for the service and put Daisy in the car. When I started driving off , Daisy started throwing up on herself and in the car. We went back inside the hospital and they were no assistance. When I got home she was so thirsty, she would drink a lot of water and then throw it up. When I called Blue Pearl the next morning. They were happy to tell me that it could be another 6 hour wait. I called another vet and they were able to see Daisy within an hour. They gave her charcoal to remove the toxins left in her body, and gave her some much needed fluids. Today is day three. And she is just laying around not moving much. Hasn't eaten since the cookies. The vet said shes still not out of the woods yet. I wish Blue Pearl would have told me to look on the internet to see how much hydrogen peroxide to give her to make her throw up. Of course they would not have been paid, but Daisy would have bee saved a lot of misery. Please take time to read through the reviews before you take your pet to Blue Pearl 24/7 Pet Hospital! After speaking to a manager and giving them the option to do the right thing, i would absolutely recommend people take their babies elsewhere. I was told that vitals would be free if I brought my dog in who I found outside of regular Vet hours, coughing blood. I brought her in, they said she was fine to transport to her regular Vet. Then as I was leaving, and was strong armed by threatening to contact a credit company when I questioned an exam charge I did not authorize. The manager ended up telling me that it didn't matter what they told me, I would need to pay for the fee. They could have just told me there was a fee from the beginning and I could have made a decision to wait an hour and take her to her primary Vet or bring her in. Instead, they told me it would be free and charged me anyway. Way to take advantage of a customer who is concerned for her pets life. I brought my dog Theodora in due to a car sickness that induced pneumonia earlier this week. After a few days of being under the care of Blue Pearl-Spring my girl is back home and resting. Beto, who i believe was a vet tech, was very thoughtful by asking if I had any questions and was sure to answer them. The nurses, Melissa and another night time nurse (didn't get their name) did an amazing job at communicating with me throughout this experience through phone calls as well as sending pictures of my dog via text. I also could say without a doubt that the Doctors did an amazing job communicating with one another throughout the week in regards to my pup's well being and status! Also big ups to receptionists for being so prompt in answering the phone when i called and never keeping me on a hold longer than a minute or so. I took my dog who was in critical need to Blue Pearl Spring and I was impressed every step of the way. The only negative was that I had to wait a few hours in order to speak to the vet but the positive is that they did take my dog to the back immediately upon arrival so she was being cared for and tended to while I was waiting to talk to the vet. They were super busy that day with a constant influx of patients. My dog received great care during her stay from various doctors including Dr. Mihalevich, Dr. Stephens and Dr. Harris. Her progress was communicated several times throughout the day and the doctors explained the details of the medication, procedures and results in a way that was clear. I was equally impressed by the enthusiasm and dedication of the vet techs (Abbey, Cassy, Heather, Kaitlin, Samantha) as well as the front office representatives who were quick to act, helpful and professional. The entire team (including those I didn't meet) went out of there way to provide special care and accommodations. They really cared about my dog's progress and health. They even went to the store to buy hard boiled eggs to see if my dog would eat that since she had no appetite or interest in anything else previously offered. The care provided here was exceptional. These caregivers are obviously in the right field. Thank you so much for doing what you do! I really appreciated your many efforts in making sure my girl's condition improved. read more

They took my info and told me they would be ready. Ran him in and they handed me paperwork. Filled out hurriedly and they said a tech would be out soon. Waited 10 more mins and asked again meanwhile my dog is slumped over. Asked if I should go somewhere else and they said it should be soon. Finally after 30 mins I called a ER vet further away and explained. They said his vitals should be checked at least. Again I asked front staff please can at least get a tech to ck his vitals. I understand it was a busy night. If they had told me it was 6 hour wait on phone I would have kept driving. Instead they wasted 40 mins of valuable time. The Worst Vet Clinic!!! Do not bring your beloved pet here! I brought my dog in (Sunday) for a cough! The vet said to leave him for tests, along with $2000.00 pre-pay, she would call me with his results. Three (3) hours later, she called and told me my dog was DEAD!! After conferring with other vets, not one could understand why my dog died. THEN!!! 5 months later I receive a statement from a collection agency for $538.97!! I go to the clinic to talk to the doctor and SHE IS NO LONGER EMPLOYED THERE!! The rudest front office staff ever- would not even look at me, too busy eating and texting!!! This place is a total RIPOFF- don't take your beautiful pet here ~ you may never see he/she UPDATE: I called the clinic (per her request from my review) and I was shocked at the lack of compassion. We took our dog in around 7 a.m. Sunday morning as he had lost the use of his back legs. There was no vet available till they came in around 9.30 a.m. So much for a 24/7 Emergency vet care! The doctors and clinical staff saved my dog! I have an 8 year old Bichon Frise mix who gets chronic bladder stones. When I brought her in she was not able to urinate. Emergency surgery was performed a few hours after check in (she was kept comfortable in the interim). The staff kept me informed multiple times during the day and sent me a text message with photo of my fur baby during her overnight stay. Was emergency care/surgery expensive? Yes. Would I do it all over again? YES!! If you are a pet owner, be proactive and research your local emergency clinic. Research how much emergency procedures range in cost. Do the best you can to set aside a savings in the event of an emergency or get pet insurance. Don't blame the emergency clinic for only being about money. Dr Kail saw my pet nawni and we felt so much better after she explained everything and got our older Pomeranian stable. She was able to answer all questions and was very accommodating. I was so grateful that she was nawnis vet in an emergency. Hospital- they get your pet from the car. Fees are reasonable. They explain fees before treatment. They are extremely knowledgeable. read more

This was one of the WORST experiences I've ever had. Brought my dog in to have operation on back leg. Had X-rays, paperwork that said 7 times what leg is was from her everyday vet. When we picked her up we were just so glad to see her that we didn't realize they operated on the WRONG LEG!!!! When we called the next day and spoke with the Dr he pretty much said it was our fault that we had told him it was that leg. That took 3 months of healing. After paying 2,500 for the wrong leg we took her Gulf Coast Vet in Houston. They said her bad leg was SO messed up they couldn't believe she was even able to walk on it. On July 29, 2022 my dog Sparkle suddenly began to limp and hop on her back left leg. She seemed to be in some serious pain. Her leg began to shake, which caused me to become more concern and upset for her. I knew in my heart I had to take her right away to the pet hospital. That evening around 5:20 pm, I contacted her regular veterinarian at Pet's mart Banfield, but they were closed and referred me to the nearest Blue Pearl 24-hour Pet Hospital. The nearest Blue Pearl Pet Hospital 1646 Spring Cypress Rd, Spring TX 77388 was where I needed to take her. I arrived at 5:42 pm that afternoon. The outside of this establishment is gorgeous, stunning, and beautiful. However, that was not the case when I walked inside with her, wrapped in a towel. As I approached the front desk to check in, there was one receptionist helping a client already. The next veterinarian receptionist was coming back to the desk, but she was occupied talking with another pet caretaker that works at the hospital. They were discussing matters of another pet. No one acknowledged me right away, I stood there at least 5-7 minutes before she addressed me. I wanted to leave, but I knew Sparkle my dog needed to be seen by a pet professional. Once, I explained the problem with my dog, she pages an animal attendant to come and get Sparkle. That happened within 3 minutes. It's now 5:52 pm that afternoon. I filled out the paperwork and she told me to have a seat in the lobby area. From 5:52 pm, when they took my dog to the back and had me to sit down in the lobby area, not one time did anyone keep me posted or updated on her status. Of course, they had it freezing cold in that pet hospital, it's understandable just like a regular hospital for humans. I'm looking around and I see other pet owners that were there before me and they also had to endure hours of waiting unnecessarily. It's now 7:30 pm and a few clients have left with their pets. Just a hand full, not many. I went to the front desk and approached the same receptionist and asked, "How was my dog doing?" She pages someone and asked them to check on Sparkle. They explain that no one has gotten to her yet. I walk away to have a seat and it's now an hour later 8:30 pm. At this time, the same pet caretaker that took Sparkle to the back, has now arrived with Sparkle in her arms and she places me in a room and tells me the doctor will be in to see me shortly. From 8:30 pm until 9:45 pm, I never saw a veterinarian (AT ALL)... I once again approached the same receptionist at the front desk to ask, "How long would it be for me to see the doctor?" She once again pages someone and this time, she was informed to tell me I could leave and not to worry about being charged any fees. It's approaching 10 pm at night. I left the same way I came in. The purpose of my arrival at this pet hospital was an emergency, but it turned into a draining, frustrating, and miserable night. My time was TOTALLY wasted without any resolution to my pet's problem. Their entire system only works for certain people. It's not designed to help everyone that walks through those doors within the allotted time. It's horrible to make pet owners sit for hours and not tell them anything. I've been in customer service for 30 plus years as a manager. Consideration and good quality care is the key when dealing with the public. They need a system put in place to circulate the coming in and the going out of the pets along with their owners. You could never have enough veterinarians on staff, especially if it's a 24-hour emergency care for pet's. I pray I don't see them again and I will not recommend any family or friends to any Blue Pearl Pet Hospital establishment(s). read more

In case you don't want the whole story, he's the short version: this clinic saved my parvo-ridden dog's life. Without them, he really would not have made it. He wouldn't be snuggling me today without them. Long version: My 1.5 year old, 65 lb pit bull got diagnosed with parvo at BluePearl on a Sunday morning, when no other vet clinics were open. Untreated, parvo is a death sentence. Our pittie, Odin, is one of three dogs (no kids) and we had no idea how to help him, we knew for sure we didn't have the things we needed to take care of him at home. We took him to BluePearl simply because they were open, and long story short, they absolutely saved his life. If you're ever in a position like we were, believe me when I tell you, you want to bring your pupper to BluePearl. What we thought was just a huffy "I don't like this food" problem escalated to vomiting and lethargy and diarrhea accidents with frank bright red blood in a matter of 36 hours. He was so sick he couldn't stand up and his breathing was labored. We wrapped him in a blanket and put him in the car and carried him into the office. We were immediately met with friendly faces and a stretcher to take him back and examine him- such fast care for our boy. They sat us down and told us it was parvo, a very serious case of it, and gave us three treatment options, all pending finances (which we appreciate because we are on a budget, like everyone): 1. Take him home with orals meds and pray for the best outcomes. 2. They could keep him in puppy isolation/inpatient hospitalization for 24 hours, then go home and hope for the best. 3. They could admit him inpatient and keep him until he is well, regardless of cost. We went with option 3 because he is our baby. Cost aside, the experience was phenomenal. Odin was in the hospital for six days, Sunday through Friday, and we went to visit every day, sometimes twice a day. I never once saw him soiled, never saw his little metal cell (isolation) soiled, and he had an IV placed in a matter of hours to address his dehydration. He was given an NG tube to suction his stomach fluids and provide nutrition. He was given a billion supplements and meds to keep him alive while his body fought off this nasty illness. Beyond the medical care, which was exceptional, I have to highlight the vet techs and veterinarians who cared for him. As a pit mom, I constantly feel like I have to explain "he's big, but he's a sweet boy and he would never hurt anyone"... to my amazement, almost every person there was like "oh girl please, we love pits, it's all about how they're raised and we love them because they are such snuggly meatballs!" I was not judged for not having vaccinated him, I was not made to feel like a bad mom (I did plenty of beating myself up about this). They all loved on him and gave him snuggles as they could, they all commented on what a sweetie he was. He was truly CARED for like their own. The vet techs explained to me all the ins and outs of his day, how much he had eaten, how he was acting... everything. The veterinarians (Dr Smith and Dr Stephens) called me every. single. morning. to give me an update on his improvements, his plan of care, his meds, his demeanor, his poop quality... again, everything. They didn't rush my questions, they explained everything to me as it came up. On discharge, they gave me all of the medical details through his time there- every lab, every pill, every IV med he was given. The whole team was honestly the best I could have ever asked for. Like with any emergency care, the only downside was the bill. My husband works his tail off to make sure we have enough, and in this instance, we used all of our savings on our pup... $5,600 later, six days in an isolated inpatient animal hospital, many sticks and pokes and pills... expensive, but 100% worth it. When he came in to BluePearl, they gave him a 50/59 chance of making it through the night... a week later, he's curled up at my feet just like he always does, and back to his old self. My little dog suffered a traumatic attack injury to his foot on a Sunday afternoon. My usual vet office does not have after-hours emergency service so they directed me to BluePearl. We called to let them know we were coming in hot with a trauma and they were ready when we got there. They took my boy back right away and got him medicated for pain immediately. They did an assessment and gave me the options for care. No pressure and no rush to make a decision on what was best for his care. Helped me with financing option, since I don't carry pet insurance. He had to stay of course, had surgery the next morning and was able to come home the next day. They kept me updated with texts and pics at least 3 x a day without having to ask, they answered questions and were very caring and understanding that this dog mom was an emotional mess. I hope I never need emergency pet care again but if I did, I would choose them. It is expensive, I don't have other experience to compare it, but at the time I wasn't in a "shop around" for care situation so it was worth it to save my baby boy. read more

This was the third emergency hospital we use for our dog in a span of 2 weeks. We were impressed with the level of professionalism, communication, responsiveness and last but not least, the care that our dog received. Even though my dog could not be saved I will forever be grateful for the level of care and personal touch he received in his last days at the BluePearl hospital in Spring. Will consider bringing all my pets for an emergency situation at this hospital even if it is far from our home. read more

The receptionist was a complete smart ass. I walked in with my dog who had a blood shut eye and couldn't even open it and was crying, but according to her since he was "breathing and walking" we would have to wait 3-4 hours. Totally unacceptable and unprofessional. If you don't care about animals then don't work around them. read more
