I have to take my 20 year old elderly cat in once a month for a pain shot to help him with his movement. We've had great experiences w PFAC. My pets are comfortable here. They are very prompt and efficient. My most recent visit was for my dogs ears, poor boy had a yucky ear infection. They plucked his ears (he has very hairy ears) & put the medication in to his ears. He was feeling so much better by that evening. Our follow up visit was great too. The vet techs are always so very kind & sweet to my babies. The vet is very personable and easy to talk to. He explains everything clearly. There is one thing that hasn't changed since covid and that is the call when you arrive signs. When you pull up it reads to call to check in. You stay in your car & wait vs waiting on the waiting room. I find it a bit strange but it's fine bc my dogs would rather wait there anyway. read more

USE THIS ANIMAL HOSPITAL! I would give 100 stars out of 10 if I could. I've had bad experiences with rude, unavailable, and just plain EXPENSIVE vets in the past. My 7 year old baby got bit by a dog at doggy day care last week. In a complete panic, I rushed to the closest place, which happened to be Pine Forest. I walked in in the middle of a busy day and a reasonably full lobby, and they were actually able to take me. AND QUICK! Not only that, but they gave me ample advice and worked with my (very small) budget. I returned for a follow up yesterday, and another hiccup today, and everyone was so amazing. I came in with questions and worries and the people at Pine Forest were so kind and really explained what to expect for my dogs healing process. Receptionists were sweet and full of advice, and the veterinarians made me feel at ease and reassured. Everyone I dealt with was super informative and made this process as easy as it could have possibly been. About few months ago, I brought my dog back for his yearly checkup. They found a broken canine and a small cyst on his back. They quoted me for surgery, dental cleaning, and tooth removal, and the process was so easy and nice. The prices are so reasonable. I felt that my dog was safe under anesthesia at this pet hospital and I am definitely a crazy pet parent. His cyst incision was beautifully done and healed up WONDERFULLY. A week after surgery, he ended up getting an infection where the IV went in. They drained it for him super quickly, and got him on antibiotics and it fixed him right up. I have had nothing but positive, wonderful experiences at this animal clinic. Lastly, I was running late to pick up my dogs heartworm meds a few days ago. I paid over the phone right as they were closing and they bagged it up, wrote my name on the bag, and left it taped to the front door so I wouldn't have to come back another day. They have gone above and beyond for me, time and time again. I don't know where I would be if I hadn't found this amazing vet clinic, and I will be returning ONLY here for the rest of my dogs life. It is during difficult times like these you know if you have a quality vet as it can be easy to make fruitless and costly mistakes in your grief. May 2014: There's a pretty bad review I left for another vet clinic down the road from our neighborhood. Reason - because they told me to return my adopted dog to MCAS shelter. The dog was treatable. Yes, folks, he survived! Western Hills Vet is the worst. Again, if i could give -100000 stars to that vet, it would have taken a thousand years to get out of that Yelp star debt. But now to Pine Forest. We were recommended Pine Forest from MCAS. As my husband was to return our pup to MCAS, the tech said the on-duty vet was in a meeting, but said the pup did not look very sick, though he was diagnosed with Parvo. So, before my hubby could sign the final death warrant for the dog, he rushed him to Pine Forest. AND we thank God ( insert your deity here, or lack of one) that he did. The doctor on staff at at time (Dr. Hendrick) came into the room, as they were expecting Vader from the MCAS call, and confirmed Western Hill's 2nd diagnosis (yeah, don't get me started on that). His comment "are you attached to this dog?" My husbands responds "YES!". Dr. Hendrick's response "ok, then we will save him". 1 month later, and $700 later, he was saved! Parvo was beat #ParvoStrong! And he's healthy as a horse! We spent $$$$$ more at Western Hills for no cure. No actual treatment. And a death warrant for our dog. Now, all 3 of our ding dongs visit Pine Forest and I am glad they go here. everyone knows Vader and the other 2 small guys are always treated well. The techs are fabulous. The receptionist are sweet (yes, they would work on some customer service things, but they always have 5-7 pets waiting to either get checked in, out or emergency) and I have had no issues with them. I cannot recommend Dr. Dudczak and everyone at the Pine Forest Animal Clinic enough. We have always brought our cat, Russell, here since we moved from another state. Dr. Dudczak has always done so so well with him despite him being a difficult patient for most. When we first brought him in, Russell refused to be on the exam table so Dr. Dudczak let Russell sit on his chair while he examined him from the floor. This year Russell had a health emergency and I was distraught. Dr. Dudczak and his team called often to check in and were happy to answer all of my questions. I truly believe their attentive care, constant communication and investment in Russell is why he is still around today. These people love animals and their customers and I will never bring my animals anywhere else! read more

So far the Pine Forest experience has been wonderful. First off I was running late for my first appointment. I called and they told me I didn't need to reschedule even though I offered to. The receptionist said she would just let them know I was running late and to come on. The office was very clean and doesn't smell like a typical vet's clinic! I waited all of 3 minutes maybe.... Chantel, the vet tech, was great with me and my exotic breed cat. I've never owned a cat before, always been a dog person but since my dog passed several years ago my kids and husband really wanted one, so here we go... I told her up front I had never owned a cat before and had no idea what I was doing and she started at the beginning and told me all about them! I felt so comfortable with her and so did my cat and that's saying a lot! After waiting for about 5 the Dr came in and talked to me about all of my concerns. He was very knowledgeable about my breed of cat which impressed me. He laid out all of our options and didn't try to up-sell or tell me "I should" or "need" to do expensive diagnostics. At this point I don't think shes at a life or death situation either so that helps... The cost was amazing!!! Got a discount on exam because we did vaccines, got a medicine for anxiety, and did an x-ray and the cost to read the x ray all for a little over 300.00. I asked a friend who their vet was and ended up here and so far I'm glad I did! read more

I have been bringing my dog here a year old lab/pitbull mix, since we moved to Conroe a little over a year ago. The vet (Dr. Thomas) is awesome. He has been very thorough with me in explaining what he is doing to my dog and also telling me things I can do at home to keep him in good health. The office is nice and clean and does not smell like your typical animal frequented place. I took my dog to get his shots last week and the staff was awesome, they were very gentle with him and the process was quick and to the point. I also think their prices are pretty fair in comparison to some of the bills that I have received from vets offices that were less than the caliber of this office. I would highly recommend this vet if you are in the Conroe, Woodlands area! read more

My Dog is a a frequent flyer, as he is a wild boy and gets himself into to much trouble. He is my world and worry so much when he gets himself into trouble or an injury, then it never fails that after I freak out and panic they always know how to make me feel better. I had my dog neutered at this clinic as it was recommended by a family member. My dog was a cryptorchid (undescended testicle) and this vet seems like they specialize in this type of surgery. Banfield quoted me $380 for the procedure, with Pine Forest I ended up paying $250 after everything was said and done. I ended up paying for all of the extras (cone, IV fluids, pain medication, laser therapy and a nail trimming while he was under). If you forgo these services it will be much cheaper. They do not try to sell them, I was sent an information sheet with the optional services and it was an opt-in type of deal, no selling at all. Okay past the pricing, this clinic is great. The interior is very clean and well kept, there is ample seating and a water cooler which is great. I had a drop off appointment at 7:30 am. The doors were unlocked at 7:30 am and someone beat me inside so I was second in line. The whole process maybe took 10 minutes. I was greeted and then taken into a room where my dog had his temperature checked and the vet came in the room within a couple of minutes. All much faster than I'm used to. The veterinarian was an older gentleman, I didn't catch his name but he made me much more confident than I was going in. I was scared for my dog but the way the vet explained every step of the process comforted me and showed me he knows what he's doing. He was very confident and likeable. The surgery was a success and my dog is healing very fast. I want to say that Nicole at the front desk was great. She kept me informed throughout the whole process. I had anxiety throughout the day wondering how the surgery was going to go. She phoned me right after the surgery that it went with no complications and he'd be ready for pick up in a few hours. That phone call made my day a lot better. She is on top of everything! She called me this morning to check up on my pup which I'm positive that's standard operating procedure but her level of client care is the gold standard. She will answer all of your questions and be happy to do so. All of the employees here are great and they helped put my mind at ease. I wanted to go to a clinic that I knew my pup was going to get the highest standard of care and I believe this is that place. They are affordable, professional and most of all very nice. After meeting Dr. Dudczak years ago at the Conroe Emergency Vet on one of the worst nights of my life, I knew he was the vet I wanted to bring my animals to from then on. He was so comforting & made a horrible experience as easy as it could be. I tracked him down to Pine Forest & was very happy to find they are very close to my home. We've been bringing our animals to Pine Forest for 4 years now & have never had a bad experience. We love all of the vets there & the staff. Visit the clinic a year ago and I didn't get the chance to write a review. My Labrador was bumping into furniture and walls. I was concern for his eyesight. Vet told me he was fine. He mentioned his allergies and prescribed him allergy medicine that I didn't request. I felt I was pushed to get them. When I asked for a "referral" or any know vet ophthalmologists he could referred me to he said that there was really not need, but still gave me a list of centers. I ended up following my gut and took my dog to the specialist. And yes he was going blind. He has a genetic disease that has made him loose his sight. So this is why this vet clinic gets 1 star. Because misdiagnosis and pushing meds that I didn't ask for. Again this was a year ago. I'm not sure if it has changed since then. read more

Once again I have had a very positive experience at this clinic. In a relatively dire situation, I believe Woodrow received the best care possible at a very affordable price. My emergency was never an inconvenience and they made time for us all week long. They took excellent care of him, answered all my questions, dried my tears and even administered hugs. Dr. Dudzack is patient and friendly. Laurie, the Office Manager, is always available to answer questions about charges and help to manage my vet costs for all of my dogs. She touched my heart and made me laugh in the middle of my worries about Woodrow. The girls at the front desk are super busy but always manage to remember me. And Nick!! I adore Nick. Had a great experience with Max and Josie. Annual visit was very affordable and staff informed but did not push or oversell their products. Did not judge or lecture on poor Josie's Weight...just gave me advice on saving $$ by feeding less. Haha seriously, the dogs left wagging their tails and I felt great about the $ spent and did not grit my teeth as I left. I will def be back for continued heart worm and flea tx. Hopefully not sooner than next year for vet services but I am confident Dr. Darrell and his staff will be the best choice around. read more

I don't see see how the 2 reviewers below me mentioned the staff being polite. This is the 3rd time I've walked into this place and the service was absolutely horrendous. The lady at the desk was finishing up with the customer in front of me (I was 2nd in line, then another lady behind me) and she walks over to the other staff, and starts gossiping about another customer and mocking. WHILE we were both in line waiting. Another time, when I went to pay for my cats shots, the customer in front of me walked away and was done, so I stepped up to the counter, and she didn't even acknowledge me, for 5 minutes. Not, "just a second" or "be right with you". Nothing. I just stood there waiting. Then after 5 minutes of silence, "that will be $81.00". I thought it was incredibly rude. The vets were super nice and helpful. But the ladies at the front, not helpful at all and were incredibly rude. I work in the service department, and this was embarrassing for this place. Edit: also, called to let them know I was running a few minutes late to pick up my cat from surgery because of traffic: "alllllllright" hangs up the phone. I'm so done with his place. We have 7 rescue animals and have been using Pine Forest Animal Clinic for all of them for about 4 years. We are very happy with the staff, doctors and facility and highly recommend this clinic. We receive focused attention and never feel rushed. We get quality care at a discount compared to the other vets in this area. Unfortunately we've had significant problems with our animals since most of them are senior, so the care we've received is much more complicated than general check ups and annual shots. We are comfortable with the knowledge and experience this clinic offers and appreciate the compassion and love they have for our animals. read more
