My dog hurt leg and was in pain. Regular vet was not able to schedule but recommended Blue Pearl. Arrived at 8:10 am. Called and waited for about 45 minutes before they took dog inside. They said someone would call with update. After 1 hour ...no call. I called them. Nothing to report..they would contact me. About 3 hours later I finally got to talk to vet. You can pick up dog. I drove back, called to let them know I was there. 35 minutes later I called back. And then 15 minutes later finally they bring out my dog. Got home at 1:15. read more

Are kitten was very sick and not breathing well , as soon as we got there they came out and took him in and put him on o2 ... They did a fast scan and called us (we were in the car do to covid rules) told us all of our options ,, it wasn't good , they gave him meds. to calm him down while they explained the different things . ultimately we had to make the saddest decision ever ,, They were so kind , went as far as to bring him out for a goodbye , the tech was so compassionate she gave us a moment alone with him "still on o2" she brought it out with him .. The wonderful doctors here at blue pearl took excellent care of our cat, Cache during his incontinence emergency after our local vet could do nothing more to help him. So the staff was friendly over the phone. The worker that was supposed to take my animal could not find me. I WAS PARKED AT THE FROND DOOR!. So I took my animal to her. I waited.the doctor called me (social disancing). Told me the referral to them for neologist was not here. They don't have one on staff! But did not tell me that! But the will to x-rays and blood work. Two hours later. Nothing found on x-rays and nothing found in bloodwork. Not to worry a CT-scan and surgery will fix my animal, if not I will have to Euthanase my cat. I gave the OK what choice did I Have. I went home and cried, my poor little buddy. The hospital call and says, "Your referral was for a neurologist me don't have one here." AFTER 5 HOURS THE TRUTH COMES OUT. THEY TOLD "HE IN NOT HERE"! BECAUSE HE DOES NOT WORK HERE. So the want to "inform me of my options". I was told Sergey might help or death. Now new options. I can go somewhere they have a neurologist. So I got my cat and his x-rays and drove on hour and a half to the neurologist hospital, Gulfcoast emergency. (More than one on staff) I turn in my cat and his X-rays now wait to be scan. Over the phone with the nurse (social distancing) I fill out the paperwork. I'm told probably and hour i can errands if I want. I waited. Hour and a half later neurologist calls. Using the same X-ray the find a broken back cofermed by a radiologist. I WAS TOLD BY BLUEPEARL NOTHING WAS FOUND. The doctor kept using the phase quality of life, Euthanasia is probability after surgery. Bottom line my cat was dead at BLUEPEARL. I had take him somewhere else to live. read more

BEST EMERGENCY VET EVER!!! Long story short, my precious Pluto (dachshund/chihuahua mix) got into something that tried to destroy his GI tract, sodium levels so low that he began to suffer seizures. Now keep in mind he has been a very healthy dog prior. So in panic mode I call around places, either they didn't stay open late enough or they couldn't provide the proper overnight care he needed. Luckily I found Blue Pearl!!! He started at the sister location in Willowbrook. They were clean, kind, and very caring, they kept him over night, giving him fluids and medicines, and he already began to get better. The next morning I took him to the Spring location for further care, as his levels and health still was not up to standard, and again he received the best care needed for him. The doctors and technicians update you on everything, they're very pleasant people, and let you visit anytime! He stayed an overall 4 days, and is now back to his normal, loving self! We took our 10 year old Yorkie to Blue Pearl Spring after she had diarrhea for several days and started vomiting blood. She was in terrible shape and we were worried this could be the end. Blue Pearl was wonderful and provided prompt, comprehensive testing and treatment. First, this happened over the July 4th weekend and they were open and well staffed. There was a short wait for her to be seen initially but then they really took over. Our dog was diagnosed with Acute Hemorrhagic Diarrhea Syndrome (AHDS). The doctors and staff were compassionate and thorough in their evaluation and treatment, with IV fluid and other therapies. The doctors and staff communicated frequently by text and phone calls. Our dog was discharged after 3 days, during which time we were able to visit her, and she is making an excellent recovery. Other reviews note that it is expensive, which it is, but you get excellent treatment -- to some degree better than humans do in a hospital and without the enormous surprise charges. They are upfront about the charges, so there are no surprises, and they are considerate of the cost of additional tests versus their potential benefit. I am thankful and appreciate everyone from the bottom of my heart who was, and/or still is involved in nurturing and caring for my dog Star. It has been a smooth and pleasant as- can- be made transition from last Saturday's first stop at the Willowbrook location, then over to the Spring location which Star was just released from this past Sunday. The staff at both locations are absolutely amazing, more than kind, thoughtful and understanding in every possible way. My dog (Star, 14lbs Maltipoo) was attacked by a pit bull while I was walking her. She suffered from a 12cm long gushing wound on the right side of her face up to her ear, and needed reconstructive surgery of her inner ear canal. Star was hospitalized at the Spring location for 7 days. I was horrified, devastated and heartbroken...and still am.... I have a hard time understanding or comprehending why???? In my eyes and my heart everyone on the Bluepearl Team deserves a HUGE THANK YOU! I can't find the words to express the gratitude, appreciation and respect I have for each of you- Front Desk to Techs and Nurses to Surgeons and Doctors and repeat. We brought our beloved dog Duke to BluePearl in Spring, TX after he was hit by a car, causing a shearing injury to one of his hind legs. The first night it seemed like amputation was the best option, and we got second and third opinions that confirmed that would be the likely outcome. But the next day, Dr. Hinton delivered a miracle to us ... she determined that the wound could be closed and the leg saved, all for less than the cost of an amputation!! Duke has since made a full recovery, and we will forever be grateful to Dr. Hinton and BluePearl. $4,600 = 6 Hours after picking up my Dog she DIED! Before death and After the experience (excuse my grammar) I was referred to them after my Dogs normal vet recommend them. My dog had a lump in her small intestine and a inflamed spleen. I was informed there could be a risk of death while in surgery and it would cost about 2000.00- 2500.00. My Husband was out of town so I wanted to take her to see him prior to her surgery JUST IN CASE something happened to her during the procedure. During the Whole Time and even now they told us they are unsure of what the lump was or what it could be. So I called them asking if if would be OK to push the surgery back so she can see her family before we move forward. I was told that they highly advise against that and so thinking I was doing the best thing for my DOG I made arrangement to drop her off the next day (Friday 1/29th) When I got to the place to drop her off I received a quote of 2,500- 4,500.. My heart dropped. I asked to speak to someone.. Basically thats the price we don't do payment plans or your dog is Dead. Wanting the best for my dog I bit the bullet and decided to Open a Care Credit Card. Left my baby with them. According to the the surgery went well and Monday (2/1/2016) I was directed I could come pick her. I got there about 3:00 consulted with the doctor.. Received ONLY pain killers and was sent on our way.. When they handed he to me she didn't respond to my voice of my call to her name.. I thought maybe see was just drugged up. So we where off about 3:45. Got her home say she wet herself and there was blood in her urine... I called the NHVS twice to see if I should bring her in, told her what happened.. I was told to just wipe her off.. and If I wanted to come in I could... But it didn't seem like a big deal to the person over the phone so I didn't rush to bring her in.. I wiped her off and let her rest in her cage.. 2 hours later I got to check on her and she was GONE! I called the NHVS again letting them know she Passed and would they like me to bring her in to see what happened? I mean I your company just did a major surgery on my dog I spent a total of $4700 (Including the initial appointment). Maybe you could learn something so this won't happen to the next dog if there was something that was done wrong. I was told NO we don't do biopsy. YOU Can Bring here in its $60.00 to get rid of the dog and if your want to keep the asses its "she is small" so $200.00.. Wow.... this made me feel like all my pet and I was just a way to meet there monthly sales quota. I still don't have the results from the origin biopsy. Left with a DEAD dog and a Credit Card Bill. The Doctor called and was very cold and had an its not my fault and we did everything we could attitude. Not really listening to my concerns. She also tells me 10 hours later (After her death) I can bring the body. By that time I had taken her somewhere else.. I mean your can't think I just keep the body hanging around the house. Let me be clear I never blamed them for the death... however the defense she put up made me think what type of person are you. This was a hard and expensive lesson to learn. The Director did call and showed empathy but that was the only person who DID.. They got my money, I for the most part got ruddiness and a DEAD DOG less than 8 hours of bring her home. Later my original vet who I called tells me in he's opinion and years of experience the results where not going to be good.. If I would have been told that up front I would have let her live out her last few day in peace and in out loving arms.. Not being operated on.. It wasn't about the money it was about the DOG and the value of her life (TO ME!).. They used my love for this dog as a way to get lots of money out of me, knowing in the end the results would end up the SAME.. I should have know when they (at NHVS) advised me against allowing the family to say there GOOD BYES... That these people really didn't care about our family. I hope they enjoy that $4700.00--- They will never see me or my PETS again. read more

My review is strictly for the Oncology department of NHVS as I did not have any experience with the veterinary side of the facility. That being said, this is one of the most difficult reviews I have ever had to write. My precious Yorkie of 13 years years was diagnosed with mast cell tumors. I went to NHVS for an oncology consult. Dr. Parsons and Izzy were extremely helpful and compassionate. I was a complete mess and totally not prepared for the thought of losing my little one. They reviewed the labs my vet had sent over and gave me the options of the minimum and maximum possible tests and treatments that could be done. They also provided me with the cost of everything so there was no surprises. Unfortunately, being such a little guy, the cancer spread very fast. Dr. Parsons and Izzy were there with me until the very end. I never felt rushed and they were both very calming and supportive. Arrangements were all taken care of through Live Oak Pet services and they did a really nice job with his urn. I even received a very nice card signed by all the staff. They only knew my little guy a week, but they loved him and did everything they could to save him. read more

I have been to Blue Pearl numerous times, first for surgery on my Yorkie and then for follow up visits. I have observed doctors, technicians and reception staff and am amazed at their dedication and helpful attitude. While there one day, a lady came in crying because her dog had been hit by a car and he was in her vehicle outside.... a call went out STAT..and no less than five emergency technicians literally RAN to her car with a gurney and had the dog stabilized before coming back inside to see the doctor... I have never observed that before at any other emergency clinic. I give this clinic a five star rating for the care we received there! read more

On December 22nd 2018 I had an emergency with my 14 year old, 4 pound chihuahua. Her hair was standing up, she was having a hard time breathing, she was coughing up blood and she couldn't stand on her own. I took her to blue pearl where I was immediately greeted by staff and they immediately took her back. The vet came out within ten minutes and gave me an idea of what was going on. He explained possible treatment and advised testing/X-rays. X rays were done and it was determined she had a massive murmur and had fluid in her lungs. The chances of her making it out of her episode were slim and the vet was very straight forward that if she pulled through this episode she would only have about 6 months to a year to live, taking medications daily. The decision was made the best thing to do was put her down. The staff was very kind and compassionate. The vet did not rush me on my decision and allowed me all the time I needed with my baby. They accepted care credit which helped with the bill seeing as I didn't have the money at the time. The staff there is helpful and they were informative. They made the loss of my baby easier. I would recommend this vet clinic to anyone. Especially in an emergency. read more

I took my pom here because she was having issues with her eye. Id previously been told she had a cataract but suspected something more serious when I came home one day and she was unable to balance her head properly. The staff at this place were very friendly and accommodating. They were informative and patient from my initial call to make the appointment up to the initial visit. My issue was with Dr. Rainbow. He was not rude or unprofessional but his demeanor didn't sit well with me. He was extremely nonchalant and blunt. He came in looked, at the dogs eyes, gave me 2 surgical options along with there prices and left the room. No small talk, no time for questions. Just wam bam thank you ma'am. I seriously don't think he was in the room more than 5 minutes. Like previous Yelpers have said all followup conversation/questions were with the vet assistant and they were wonderful.But, Im sorry, for a $285 office visit out the gate, I want to speak with the actual doctor not a darn assistant. This young girl was very nice and knowledgeable but I still expected more from the doc. I really don't think he expected me to move forward with the surgery and assumed he was wasting his time. Well, shame on you because I dropped 3 stacks on that surgery. The day of the procedure he was no better. I sat in that place for 5 hours while my dog was being worked on and say him once. In the end this review really doesn't matter because these guys are the ONLY canine eye specialist in/around Houston. So essentially you have no other choice unless you want to drive to Dallas. I later found out that Texas A&M vet school might have been able to assist. I hope my dog doesn't need anymore procedure but if she does I will honestly consider driving to avoid this cocky and entitled vet. read more

The staff and Vets here are the kindest and most compassionate people I've met. They sent text message updates and photos of my dog throughout the day while he was with them (for almost a week). They asked for my help when they couldn't get my dog to eat and then allowed me to spend time with him in the grass out front to feed him. Then, when the sad day came to make the decision to let my pet go, they were so kind and understanding and really helped me through the process to make me feel better. Where do I start? I don't know how to show how appreciative and grateful I am. My Luna was vomiting and could barely stand! I am a dog mom, so of course I panicked. I took her to one ER and they told me "we could do the X-rays but there is going to be a wait because we are going into an extensive surgery" the assistant didn't know how long of a wait & warned me the min. fee + JUST xrays was already $600, that did not include the actually treatment or anything else. I was referred to Blue Pearl and I am so glad I was! They were able to get Luna in right away! The time from taking Luna to the back to knowing what was going on was very quick! The issue was explained very well and I like that I was shown her xrays. I felt very comfortable and welcomed. I didn't feel like it was my fault or as if they were just diagnosing and adding things for nothing. I am a college student and finances are an issue! I was put at ease once I saw they accepted CareCredit & as well as once Dr. Jemmott told me the xrays that were needed for Luna were priced @ $200! I was able to breathe. I am also thankful for the alternatives that were given because of financials. Luna was still given proper care and was able to sleep in her own bed. I wish I could rate more than just 5 stars. I've made a second trip here out of necessity. My second dog sounded awful. A terrible cough and wheezing. It was a Thursday evening and too late for an appointment with her vet. They diagnosed her easily with complications from the heart worms. That was a known condition for her upon leaving the local shelter. They suggested adding a steroid to help her breathing as treatment for the worms is a two to three month process that we've only just been able to start upon adopting her. She is home now and playing with her toys. I feel better knowing what's wrong, and I believe she will soon feel better too. There were no problems with how they handled this dog, since she is an overly friendly lab mix. It's hard to find an excuse to mistreat her when all she does is try to lick everyone! However, I am still extremely disappointed in how my other dog was handled there months ago. They drug him across the floor to me in a muzzle after taking him out of sight just for basic vitals. He was already nervous at vets and frantically trying to scratch off the muzzle. He behaved perfectly once it was removed; they even commented on his good behavior. I was told in a comment reply to my review then that taking the dog back for basic vitals is standard procedure for them; however, another vet did basic vitals in the room with me this time and only took her back for x-rays and blood work. To me, that makes it seem like it's not standard procedure. Excuses for the poor handling my dog saw at the hands of one of their vet techs? At least I didn't see that same tech yesterday evening with my second dog. read more

Horrible customer service and clinic staff!! Extremely rude and disrespectful!! I didn't even get to meet the doctors. My pup was referred to this place for emergency surgery to remove a foreign object by my primary vet since they offered 24 hour care so my pup could be monitored after surgery. I was told by my primary vet that he had to have surgery that day or he wouldn't make it. My primary vet called a head of time and they accepted the referral and I was told I just needed to bring him right in they were waiting for us. There was never any mention I'd have to wait hours on end just to sign a consent and pay the deposit. We get there and my pup is taken back for vitals signs. An hour and half of waiting and no update from anyone I ask the desk girl what was going on. She is extremely rude and snarky with me saying other people are a head of me and that Id just have to wait until there doctor evaluated him. At this point I'm livid because she's rude and rolls her eyes at me. I thought I was talking to my teenage daughter and she spoke very degrading like I was dumb. Now mind you I am an educated person...I have my masters degree in nursing so I'm not dumb. Another 30 minutes later another girl comes out and says it's going to be another 2-4 hours before we can give you an evaluation on him or have the consent ready so you will have to wait b/c there are other more serious pets here and your pet is the most stable. Now mind you my primary vet said this was a referral and they accepted my pup as a patient and would take him immediately into surgery. She then has the nerve to say well we wouldn't even operate until tomorrow. I basically lost my shit after this. Needless to say we left and went to Conroe and they immediately took him back for surgery. Stay away from Blue Pearl if you love your pet! They have horrible customer service, they treat you like you are dumb, they let your pet just lay there and tell you nothing for hours on end. Then they treat you like crap when you ask for an update. They only want money!!! You need new office staff that need to learn manners and how to speak to people with respect. I was referred by my vet and told the specialty vet I needed to see was leaving at 4, so if I got there before then, they could do the test my cat needed. I got there at 3:35. And waited..told them I was referred, blah, blah. Put in a room a 3:50. Another vet (who was the one my original vet spoke with) showed up at 4:10. Oh, the vet you need left at 10 to 4, there was no one here to see her. Then proceeded to outline a $3000-$5000 (minimum) plan just to see what was wrong with my cat. So, no thanks. I already knew it had to be bad...I had no feeling that they cared about anything other than the $$ I would spend. My wife and I had positive experience at NHVS. Unfortunately we were there for the worst reasons. Our newborn kitten was not eating or drinking and after weeks of round-the-clock care and attention he was not getting any better. It was 11 o'clock at night and the only place open was NHVS. The ladies at the front desk were amazingly supportive both when I spoke to them on the phone and when we arrived in person. Unfortunately there was nothing that we could do and the kitten had to be put down. We were obviously devastated, but the staff were really great to us. They made sure we were able to say goodbye and genuinely cared about our feelings. My wife and I will definitely use them again (hopefully under better circumstances). Today is June 14,2018 my puppy had a bad swollen eye and it seemed to be turned the wrong way so I brought him in at 5:31 pm. If I could give less than a star, I would. This clinic misread an ultrasound for my cat so horribly that they almost convinced us to undergo a $6,000 emergency abdominal surgery on him when it was not necessary. They didn't even have a radiologist on staff to review the ultrasound, which likely caused the misdiagnosis. We spent over $600 for misinformation and they completely missed the underlying cause of the issue. I would strongly reconsider bringing any pet here. **UPDATE** I'm adding a star to my review. After expressing my concerns about my cat's misdiagnosis to the manager, I did get a refund for the ultrasound (note, just the ultrasound and not the full visit). Dr. Stevens was very apologetic about what happened, and I think I would have a much more positive view of this place if I had worked with her the whole time. She even took the time to write me a multi-paragraph email about her take of the case and why the misdiagnosis occurred. I appreciate her help. read more

Update to my previous review. Come to find out 2 months later, apparently I owed an extra 2700. I opened a care credit and was told my balance would be charged to it. This is the whole reason I opened a credit card, so I wouldn't owe to the hospital directly. I received a letter in the mail last night that I owed 2700. I was in awe. How did I owe money if it was already charged to my credit card? And why wasn't I called? Instead I have to find out through snail mail. Well whoever had checked me out failed to mention that the balance wasn't totaled, and that the "surgery" cost would be added on. So I walked out thinking everything was done and over. Wrong. I'm not only frustrated with the fact that my fur baby passed away here, but to get a reminder of that night in the mail stating I owed money? Yeah I'm pretty upset. We took our dog there in an emergency situation. The veterinary treatment seemed adequate, but everything else was poor. They lost some of our property and were not very helpful in trying to locate it (wouldn't return calls, etc). Probably the worst issue was that they misplaced our pet's remains when they were returned by the crematorium. The remains were ultimately found, but this was very distressing. I can never say enough about Dr Parsons and her entire team. We took Missy there for oncology treatment and I firmly believe they extended her life while maintaining her quality of life. The entire staff was so attentive - this is the only Veterinary place I have ever been where the dog was happy to be there! We even got a Valentines card earlier this year. We had a good experience. Our veterinary referred us to North Houston Veterinary Specialists. ( in Spring) My 5 year old pit bull mix needed x rays- sedation and ACL (TPLO) surgery. Yes there is a consult fee ($115.00) that needs to occur first. The lady who initially took my baby girl back was so friendly and put me at ease. On a side note I love how bright her yellow and red scrubs were. She remembered my baby girl from the previous day. I can't thank this lady enough as I was freaking out in the Inside. Dr.McFadden was wonderful. He personally called after sedation and X-rays to proceed forward. Even though we gave him verbal permission the day before. He also called after surgery to give an update. I appreciate hearing from the Dr. This place was easy to find right of off the highway. I had a few questions about the medications and ended up calling them a few times. Everyone was polite and answered my questions. I trusted them with my "baby" and today is day 3 post surgery. So far so good . read more

My 90 pound, year and a half old yellow lab had to undergo the TPLO surgery and I was extremely concerned about the whole thing. Dr. Hinton did the surgery for us and he healed incredibly fast and is doing great. Would recommend to anyone who is a crazy dog mom like myself. My rating of a 5 star is based on the Veterinarian Dr. Hinton and the surgical staff. Recently our 11 1/2 year old Lab Retriever had to have extensive surgery on his back leg and I would say the outcome is better than I had imagined. I recommend Dr. Hinton because of her professionalism, but also her bedside manner. She was very patient with my questions and didn't make me feel like crap when it came to discussion of finances. This visit was rather expensive, but I appreciated the vet's understanding, but more importantly it is about the quality of life for our furbaby. However, the front desk staff I would give 3 star rating. When dropping off my furbaby for surgery, the TONE of voice I found harsh and caught me off guard. She pointed to an exam room and "someone will be with you shortly." My suggestion to this location, you know when the patients are being dropped off for surgery, why not have someone greet them WARMLY and ESCORTING them to the exam room; as the parents emotions are already frazzled because their furbaby is having surgery. When going back the next day, Saturday, to pick him up, different front desk staff (5 star rating), because they were busy, but she never lost her composure and ESCORTED the parent to the exam room. The front desk personnel are the first person that the parent is being greeted by. I understand that this is a 24/7 emergency room, and not knowing your schedule and what you may have already experienced by the time I show up, but a little compassion for the parent goes a long way. This rating is hard, because I would give 5 stars to the amazing, caring physicians who routinely gave me very informative and compassionate updates on my cat, Ronnie. He received great care, and I was very impressed with the doctors, and the manner and frequency they communicated his prognosis and treatment protocol to me. The 1 star is for how we were treated his last day. Unfortunately, on 9/19 I was told there was nothing else they could do for him, as he was in both kidney and heart failure. We weren't expecting this outcome, but went to go tell him our goodbyes and see him one last time. The man on the phone was very rude and persistent on me giving him an inscription for the urn, and I told him I hadn't had time to process it all yet, and needed time to think of a meaningful quote. The worst was when our beloved cat of 16 years was wheeled out on a metal table into the hot parking lot with no shade, for us to tell him goodbye. I understand covid restrictions, but there could be a room for families to tell their pets goodbyes with masks, etc.. It was degrading and inhumane. Our dying cat was panting in the heat and no one would come back and get him after calling. We had to call twice! It was heart wrenching. Such a horrible end of life experience with absolutely no compassion. read more

I was also very impressed that they did not push unnecessary tests and imaging. The vet gave me several care options for my dog and was very compassionate. BEWARE THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT MONEY NOT ANIMALS. If I could give NEGATIVE stars I would. Our dog Jade gave birth to a healthy baby boy at 6:13pm. At 9:15 she was exhausted from pushing for 3 hours so I called blue pearl seeking advice on what to do. After speaking with a lady she advised me to bring her and the puppy in. (Mind you this was the last day of the freeze we had) my husband layed my 3rd row down in my suv and warmed it up and layed blankets down we then loaded her and the baby up my husband sitting with her in the back, I drove to blue pearl. Upon arriving around 10:30 a nurse met with us to get a back ground of her and we explained this was her second litter that when we went to get her fixed she was pregnant and in her last litter she had 8 healthy babies. So she asked for jades leash and my husband said he wanted to go with her that she was already stressed, she told him no that there were other "patients" back there and he could not go. As I was filling out the paper work the nurse came on the radio and asked if we would want an xray done to see how many puppies were still inside of her and that it was an extra $200 on top of the $120 exam, me and my husband immediately agreed so we shall know what to expect. After about $20 minutes they called us into the back where we waited another 5 min and they brought Jade back in to us and said the doctor will be back to talk to us. After about 10 min the doctor came in and said that on the ultrasound it only showed 2 skulls and no beating hearts. That she doesn't see the 12 puppies like she had in her last litter when I corrected her on 8 puppies not 12 she said she doesn't see anything near 8 either. I asked her could there be a chance that some are alive and she is not seeing them and she said no that she is 100% confident in what she saw and she examed her whole stomach. My husband and I said we were not worried about the puppies as our dog is like one of our children and we wanted to make sure she survived. She said that she would advise c section that their could be a big puppie blocking her birthing canal. I explained to her while at home I did an exam on her and with every push I could feel the puppy. She said when she supposedly did the exam she didn't feel nothing. We asked how much it would cost for a c section she stated 3k-4k and yes although we do have the money to do it we knew she just needed assistance. So we told her we would take her home and try to assist her and she came back with I've seen cases where other people have done that an their dog hemmoraged. I told her we decline the c section at that moment but In the morning we would call her vet. After loading her and her puppy up into my SUV driving i told my husband that I was about to stop at CVS and she asked for what I said gloves and jelly I know I can get that baby out. So I stopped and got the stuff. When we got home and got her back into our closet where we had her bed set up away from our other dog and our kids I put the gloves on and my husband squirted some jelly onto my fingers and layed down with her. After 3 pushed (15min) I grabbed the head with my two fingers and squeezed firmly so it didn't go back in (mind you the doctor only saw 2 skulls both with non beating hearts). With every push I held firmly onto the head of the puppies and as Soon as she pushed the OVERSIZED still born puppy out another still born puppy came out with it (that puppy probably stopped growing at the end of the second trimester it had all four legs a head and tail but was super tiny). So we thought the was done since the doctor only saw 2 skulls and no beating hearts so I changed her bedding and as Soon as i finished Jade jumped back on the bed and started pushing and 2 min later a Heathly baby girl was born. She was nursing her two puppies when she started to pant and push again. She struggled so after 15 min and her getting very exhausted I assisted her again and after 4 pushed I helped assist ANOTHER healthy baby girl out. She was a big baby but not over sized like the one that was stuck. And after that one came she pushed again and had a 3rd still born puppy but stopped growing in the first trimester. So in all she gave birth to 6 puppies 3 still born and 3 alive. They obviously never did a xray nor an exam. I have never dealt with an animal like this and I was able to successfully deliver all the puppies. On Google I will post a picture of Jade along with her 3 HEALTHY puppies. They are absolutely the reason my dog is still alive. My poor 5 month old puppy came down with distemper and severe pneumonia. The vets in Conroe did what they could, but he needed 24/7 care, and none of them had staff 24/7. The staff at BluePearl were very friendly and compassionate. The vet tech that worked with my dog during the 4 days he was there cared for him as her own. The vets and vet techs were great at answering any questions I had and dealt with my emotional mess with grace. The reception staff was just as friendly. After we checked out, I noticed a small issue with my bill. The manager was very friendly and more than willing to resolve the issue, going above and beyond anything I expected. 10 out of 10 would recommend. read more

F*** THIS PLACE AND EVERYONE IN IT!!! Do NOT bring your animal here unless it is truly a life or death emergency and you have a shit ton of money to blow. These people are more concerned about milking you for as much money as they can than they are about the well-being of your animal. I took my dog in when her mouth started bleeding profusely because my regular vet did not have any room for me to visit them that day. I took my dog in with a bleeding mouth and $375 later I took my dog back home with a bleeding mouth. They did absolutely nothing for her while she was there. No pain meds, didn't stop the bleeding, nothing. They checked her vitals and put her in a kennel with a blanket and that was the extent of the "office visit". I received antibiotics and painkillers for her. That, including the office visit, was $375! They will prey on the fear you have for your animals well-being and the love you have for your pet to exploit you and use the fact that they are a "Emergency" vet clinic to overprice everything. At my regular vet, bloodwork has cost me about $85-$100. The same type of medications have cost me maybe around $100-$120. At BluePearl, for the same type of bloodwork, was going to cost me an extra $350 by itself. And that does not include the x-rays and oncology appointment that they wanted to schedule me for. The "suggested" bill was originally $3500, on the low end!!! And well over $4000 on the high end. I highly recommend that you stay away from these horrible people who take advantage of emergency situations to extort people for as much money as they can. They do not care about your pet, just getting their money. If you need a vet to take your pet to, I highly recommend NW Animal Hospital, where they genuinely care about your fur baby. I say again, and I mean it with every fiber of my being, f*** these people and may they all go to hell for the immoral ways they choose to live their lives. This is the most disgraceful vet I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with and would NEVER recommend them to anyone. THEY ARE THE WORST TYPE OF PEOPLE!!! STAY AWAY!!! read more
