My 5lb chihuahua took a spill and after an emergency vet visit somewhere else, she was suspected to have a torn CCL. We got referred by our primary vet to the orthopedic surgeon here. Dr Michael Ficklin walked me through her injury and everything they were going to do to help her. Even though surgery was required, I really felt at ease. All of the vet tech's told me how sweet my dog was and that she was going to get lots of loving while she was in their care. Really great experience! read more

My Chihuahua had a mass on her tonsil and was referred to this hospital for diagnosis of the mass. The surgeon who saw her said it did not look good for our Penny but bring her back for a biopsy. We did that and the Doctor sent the specimen off and told us the results were that the mass was inoperable but we should have her for 3 to six months only. She passed away in 3 weeks. Why would the Doctor say it did not look good then charge us a surgery fee of $1150 to tell us it was not good. He gave us a bill and hope which is not professional so I suppose he wanted the money. I will never bring another pet to the hospital because we were not treated respectfully. read more

my husband and i took our 11 month standard poodle to blue pearl yesterday afternoon. keep in mind a couple months ago he hyperextended one of his muscles, he had gotten better but because he had lost so much weight, we fell and hurt himself again. we went hoping they could give us some pain meds for him. We only didn't go to our primary vet because they didn't have availability until much later in the day and we were concerned. they ended up charging us over 1100$ ti run tests and told us he had some sort of infection in his skull. they insisted we visit a neurologist and get him an MRI... that costs 7000$!! keep in mind we spent pretty much all the money we had on this visit.. and couldn't afford that. we called our main vet and explained that as a last resort we wanted to try to get him some antibiotics and see if it works. within about 20 minutes they were able to get the records from blue pearl and called us back.. they told us there was not even any indication of infection at all. they told us he has vertigo. they prescribed some meds for nausea and dizziness and told us he would ultimately be okay. i'm extremely upset about this. i feel they took advantage of the fact that we care about our dog. would not recommend. i'm very disappointed in our experience. read more

Your pet depends on us for their health and safety. Dr. Hurst help us to weigh out the risks involved. Expensive surgery avoided! She and the other vets kept in contact with me during the 36hr ordeal. They really get it how we care and worry and took care of me, too! Of course, we were worried for our Furbaby. But we also felt great confidence in the doctors and staff with whom we were leaving Chibi behind. A star rating of 1 star is far too much of a compliment. If there's a way to give a negative star rating, we would be much happier doing that. Every time we have had the unfortunate experience of taking our dogs to this place, They've misdiagnosed our dogs and this last experience resulted in our dog having an allergic reaction to the unnecessary anti-nausea medicine (Cerenia) they gave our dog. The vet then argues with us that there's no way there could have been a reaction to the medicine. Why argue? One vet said seizure the other vet said anaphylaxis. Then the vet says that the swelling was because of the anaphylaxis, not because of the medicine. Anaphylaxis is immediate; side effects and swelling of the face as an allergic reaction to Cerenia are not immediate. Please get your facts straight. Then, you want to charge me for giving my dog benadryl to reverse the allergic reaction to the medicine you give my dog. I really don't think so. Not even an apology; not any type of empathy. Only arguing that it's my dog's "illness" creating the issues. Get it right. Worthless, undereducated and not intelligent here. Oh, and the staff changes quite frequently. read more

Well hopefully I can help someone with an oncology issue anyways. The $120 consultation was basically what my vet told me minus the price sheet they gave for treatment options. They of course want all their own tests and diagnostics done which I can understand why, but I just paid for all the same tests at my vet. (Which landed me here.) The costs of treatment, while I wont list them, I can tell you I probably turned white after hearing them. And of course these treatments aren't guaranteed to work. We ended up back to where I left off at my vet as far as advice and medication. The sad truth is, with oncology issues, it's not good. You can pay several thousands of dollars for hope of extending your pets life, or you have to make the money over life decision. I gave this place a 3 because I felt like they could have given me more information prior to coming here. (Like typical treatment options and the costs.) Had I known, I could have made an informed decision if it was even financially possible to begin with. Also, the staff didn't seem properly prepared before I arrived. I made this appointment a week out and paid a lot for the visit so I expected them to be on top of their game. Overall, pet insurance came to mind after visiting here. For oncology anyways, its expensive so be prepared. Listen to your primary vet. read more

If I could give negative stars I would! My long hair Chihuahua was attacked by another dog. I went to my vet they referred me to the Blue Pearl because her injuries were too extensive. When we got there I walked in covered in Ellie Mae's blood. I had assumed they would rush her back to see if she could be saved but I was wrong. They would not see her until they received 600.00. They wanted me to fill out a bunch of paperwork but finally took my baby back. They took me to room to wait on results and the doctor came in to say she needed emergency surgery because her lungs were punctured as other organs. He told me the surgery would start at 10k. I asked if she would survive the surgery and he said it was a gamble. I asked what he would do if it was his pet and he said try surgery. In my heart of hearts I didn't feel she would. I made the awful choice to put her down. When the vet came in to administer the shot because I refused to let the last few minutes of my baby's life to be surrounded by strangers. The vet said it was hard but she was in such terrible condition! Then why offer SURGERY! I asked them to prepare her so I may take her home to bury. They then wanted to offer me casket options. Their surgeons are exemplary, highly skilled, incredibly talented, devoted and compassionate. They have saved my Cavalier King Charles twice, and I have the utmost respect for this team of dedicated professionals. I had the opportunity to observe their treatment of other customers, and they were consistently excellent, with the ability to prioritize emergencies while somehow making each person feel like they were the only patient. I was very disappointed with the care that my pets were given. With 2 dogs I spent over 6k at Blue Pearl. My Family Vet referred me to them but I will never return. I was given very expensive ($200 per month) medicine to make a terminal dog comfortable. First they suggested that the dog get her leg amputated. This procedure would not improve her life expectancy so I declined. The dog is in her last weeks and they would not refill her medicine and said that I (at age 66) needed to bring my 80 pound dog in who cannot walk. I think a 30 day refill should have been given. I was told that she could not be treated. Why would I drag her to the doctor? I feel that Blue Pearl was more interested in $$$$ than quality care. read more

This place is absolutely TERRIBLE! It's now called BluePearl and I don't recommend it at all. My mother's older pit bull started having a seizure but she didn't know that's what it was. It was early in the morning so she rushed him to BluePearl since they were the only ones open at that time and they were AWFUL. First of all, they didn't want to handle him because he was a pit bull even though he was wearing a muzzle and was still weak from the seizure. What kind of a vet and vet techs refuse to touch a dog (that is wearing a muzzle)!?? They said they were afraid of him. Then they told my mother that things were very serious and that most likely he had fluid in his lungs and started telling her it would be hundreds and hundreds of dollars. They didn't give her many options and painted a very dire picture. My mom felt deep down in her gut that something was just not right about this place. She remembered how much I loved Companion Animal Hospital so she left BluePearl and drove over to Companion. Long story short, when she arrived at the other office, they saw her immediately, handled the dog WITHOUT the muzzle, were incredibly caring and told her that nothing was wrong with the dog. It had only had a seizure and that if he had more she should return to get medication. Companion Animal Hospital called that evening to check up on my mom and her dog. WOW! And then they called again the next morning to see how he had passed the night. Now the dog is on seizure medication and doing well and she was only charged for a simple office visit... Very poor experience, they are working on the virtual arrangement for intake and information. You have to call in. We (my dog and I) arrived at 8:45 Am for an appointment made by Vet for my dog for an ultrasound as an out patient. Called and no one answered the phone after waiting 5 minutes I decided that they were not open. and waited until 9:05 AM to Call in. After holding for 15 minutes the phone was answered and I was told there was not an appointment made for the dog and that I was to go to the emergency clinic for an ultra sound. Well moved to that area of the parking lot and called in after twenty minutes holding on the line no answer. Waited five minutes and called back in, still no one answered the phone. Finally 10 minute later an attendant brought out a dog and I was able to talk with her. She promised to be back out to take my information, another twenty minutes of waiting and she came out. This waiting business continued until some time after 10:15 AM until they took the dog in another 20 to 25 minutes until the doctor called me after she examined the dog. (DR Harris was the bright spot of the visit, She is great! ask for her to treat you pet). In any event because my dog was an emergency intake she was at the end of the line for every step of the way! I must say that if you have a true emergency never take your pet there, she could die waiting in the car for them to answer the phone , let alone come out to aid you pet. This is is the best place to take your pet after hours or in case of emergency. Over the past 4 years, we've taken there our dog and three of our cats, including the one who swallowed a sawing needle, and we've always received the most professional, friendly and compassion care for all pets. Just a week ago we brought in a very sick 4 weeks old stray kitten, and he received a royal care and is now recovered and doing well. The waiting time might be a bit long, depending on how many animals they have to take care of, but once our pet's were taken in, they always got all the attention they needed. Being an emergency clinic, Blue Pearl is probably pricier than your regular vet office, but the care they provide is well worth it. They give you different treatment options, including a financial aspect of each of them, which helps to make a decision that fits your financials situation and to eliminate any surprises at the check out. They take CareCredit credit card, which helped us a lot every time we used them. Everyone at the office, including the front desk personnel, is very friendly and helpful over the phone. Five stars service in every instance we had to visit Blue Pearl. read more

I took my cat there for tests for a slight case of pancreatitis, and she was returned to me in multiple organ failure after keeping her in the back of that place for 3 hours doing God knows what to her. Completely avoid Dr. Cunningham. She is arrogant, uncaring, untruthful, and has cost my sweet pet her life. Our hearts are broken due to her malpractice. I just want to say how wonderful this place is. We bring our rescue dogs here. Multiple have had mast cell tumors and they are able to get them in as quickly as possible and they do an amazing job. My long term foster had mast cell tumor removal surgery last month. She has a heart murmur so the surgery was extremely risky. She made it through and they got amazing margins. Today I thought she was going into congestive heart failure due to her murmur bc she started having labored breathing. I brought her into the emergency and two nurses ran out to get her. They stabilized her and she is doing fine. All the staff is amazing and I can't thank y'all enough for taking such good care of our pups. If I could give 10 stars I would read more

This place is clean, the staff are wonderful, and the veterinarian that I saw cared so deeply. My Dachshund mix and I visited NHVS (now known as Blue Pearl) for abdominal issues that had been going on for weeks after being referred over from our primary veterinarian. The staff was attentive to every dog and owner that walked through the door, and were knowledgeable enough to answer the questions that I had. Prices were discussed throughout the visit, there were absolutely no surprises - everything they do is approved by you first. Dr. Cunningham and her assistant (didn't catch a name) were FANTASTIC. They were incredibly careful and kind to my dog, who is very skittish in any medical setting. By the time we left, my dog was cuddling up with them and giving them kisses! Dr. Cunningham answered every single question I had. She never once interrupted me, or made me feel stupid for asking something. She also showed me what to look for at home, and when/if I should come back in. Hopefully my dog won't be needing emergency or speciality attention anytime soon, but if we do, we will definitely be back to Dr. Cunningham and NHVS! read more

We were visiting relatives in Montgomery when our dog (our baby) suddenly became sick. We visited a nearby vet, that assessed Sadie. With her symptoms the next step was an ultrasound because they suspected a mass ruptured. We were given three animal hospitals to choose from. We felt very hesitant to go here based on reviews, but it was the closest one and we felt like it was urgent. So we took a chance, and as soon as we arrived we knew we were at the right place. They rushed and met us at the car and took Sadie back immediately. I wish I could remember the vet's name because she was AMAZING in a tragic situation. She met with us immediately, let us know what tests they wanted to run. They brought her back to us in the room, so we could be together waiting for the results. Unfortunately, our little girl had an aggressive case of hemangiosarcoma that metastasized to several organs and we had to say good bye. The whole experience was the hardest thing I have ever went through and we were an absolute mess. But all of the staff was so great to work with and compassionate to what we were going through. The way the vet interacted with us, let us grieve, was patient, and caring was more than we would have even expected from our own vet. With Sadie's history of cancerous tumors and torn ACL we are familiar with visiting animal hospitals and this was by far the most caring Vet. If we lived in the area we would not hesitate to trust Blue Pearl with our fur babies again! read more

I had a very terrible experience at NHVS (Spring location) emergency animal hospital. From the beginning, this hospital showed very little empathy or any sense of urgency during a traumatic experience with my Yorkshire terrier. Unfortunately, we did not have a choice to take him anywhere else as all other vets did not have an available surgeon which had been advertised as being available at NHVS. We arrived around 9:30 pm and waited for two hours that night to know when the 24 hour on call surgeon would be available for my dog, only to find out the surgeon would not be performing any sort of examination until 8:00 am the next morning. The vet clearly understood this was an urgent situation, but simply said their surgeon would not be available until 8:00 am. This was the next disturbing event, as a previous emergency clinic we visited called NHVS to ensure that a vet would be available for emergency surgery. Unfortunately, we did not have any other choice but to leave him here as he needed immediate sedation and pain medication so we left our dog overnight. The next morning around 4:00 a.m. the surgeon did come in and said she would take x-rays and a CT-scan. We did appreciate this one effort on the doctor's part. However, our dog was here for only 3 nights before his rectum was bleeding from inattentive nurses and doctors and with no improvement of his condition. On the 5th day, we picked up Toby and initially requested all documentation and x-rays. The staff disregarded our requests to obtain any photos or x-rays, and even failed to provide necessary medication for our pet. My partner then demanded that they at least call in the prescription to a nearby vet so he could pick it up. After just one night of being released from this hospital our dog showed massive signs of improvement health wise. He started to relax and regained some consciousness of his surroundings. He continued to progress over the next few days, but continued to be paralyzed in his hind legs. After 5 days of being home and on prescribed medication per the hospital's direction, we decided to take him to another vet for a second opinion. This vet then let us know, that he had been misdiagnosed and was now unable to treat him as the time window for treatment had already expired. NHVS hospital required a $5,000 "deposit" upfront for them to even look at our pet and as it turned out, they didn't do a thing for him. I am deeply saddened by my pet's outcome and will spread the word of how terrible this hospital was from beginning to end. Please do not take your pet here. It was truly an awful experience, but not just the experience...my baby can no longer walk because of their incompetence and carelessness. read more

I don't even know where to start. They say that dogs have a sense of danger more than us humans do and boy are they right. As soon as we walked in the place, my 9 year old shih Tzu pooped on the floor due to being so scared of this place. Well, we are waiting and about 10 minutes after scheduled appointment time, I ask what is the delay and the girl at the desk states "oh your dogs file is so large that it is taking the Dr. a while to review. Okay, I can buy that. Well, we get brought into a room by a tech who asks me what is going on and then proceeds to tell me that they did not receive any paperwork from the regular vet. Hmmm, odd cause I was just told that was the reason for the delay. Lie #1. Well, they take my Babyboy with them for his vitals,10 minutes later in pops the Dr. She starts going on about how the fluid is causing the right side of his heart to collapse, so we need to do an emergency drain of the fluid or he will not survive. I start losing it and she tells me to stop, cause she needs to get all of this information out to me and has very little time. I was appalled, but stopped to listen. My daughter had called my husband at this point and he was speaking with the Dr. She too was cutting him off and was rude to him. They drained over a liter of fluid off of him and of course he is traumatized by all of this and shows signs of it when they bring him into me. She takes him back out and places him into a oxygen tent. In the meanwhile, she has the fluid samples examined and both she and the oncologist state that the cells appear to be dividing and it appears to be cancer. WTH???? I was only bringing him in to check for heart failure, (which they did rule out). Well, after all this she tells me that I have 2 options, 1) keep him overnight for eval and once we hear from the pathologist, then determine what is next or 2) my hubby and I need to think about euthanasia!!! Who the heck tells a patients family this??? I chose option #3 and I told her if he was going to pass then he would be in the comfort of my home with his family. I tell her to remove the catheter. Well guess what??? she states in her report that he would decline quickly at home and gave us 48 hours, well I am happy to report that he has been playing more and eating. Sure, he still gets tired easily and is slowly getting back to himself, but to think she told me that and he did NOT have cancer. Now, WHO is being in humane???!!!!! I will NEVER EVER step foot in this place again. Oh and when they evaluated my baby, they took him out of the room, never examined him in front of me. Weird.... read more

I saw my dachshund get bit by a copperhead snake. I monitored her for a few minutes and then decided I needed to take her to the emergency clinic. The Blue Pearl Willowbrook location is closed due to a fire so I took her to the one in Spring. There was a little delay in them getting all of the information they needed from me but once I handed her off to the technician, it wasn't very long before they assessed her and the vet on call phoned me. She explained everything that was happening and invited me to ask questions. She made recommendations for tests we could do and got my agreement up front to do them. When she said it was OK for me to bring her home, I felt confident in that. I would totally recommend this facility. read more

If zero star was an option I would not have given this place any stars at all. My shih tzu had to have an emergency spine surgery in 2012 for ruptured intervertebral disc in his lumbar spine. Unfortunately it is common with this and other small dog breeds. At that time we waited a few days to bring him in to the vet, and at the time of evaluation, puppy already had evidence of spinal cord compression with neurologic deficits and lameness in his leg. He underwent emergency surgery and did very well. Yesterday he started having the same symptoms again (on a different level along his lumbar spine), although this time he had two episodes of bowel incontinence. Since we already knew what symptoms to look for, we brought him into NHVS ER for evaluation on a Saturday afternoon, in hopes that he can get the appropriate imaging study and surgical consult he would need even if it was the weekend. I spoke to Dr. Ashley Decillo who was on call-- her words were he had "decreased anal tone and no proprioception on his right hind leg" and she agreed that his exam is consistent with cord lesion/compression. She recommended to leave him overnight so he can get serial neuro exam and CT scan and surgical consult in the morning. Since my pup has not eaten all day and we were afraid that his spinal cord would progressively get compressed, we made the decision to leave him overnight for $1800 - supposedly for monitoring and CT scan the following day. I was told to expect a phone call at around 830 or 9 am on Sunday for an update. I did not receive an update as promised, and so I finally called NHVS at 1015 am as I was worried sick about my pet. I spoke to another vet on call who told me that my dog did fine overnight. As such, CT scan and possible surgery was going to have to wait until Monday as they do not have anyone on weekends to operate the CT scanner and this was a non-emergent case. We can leave him there for another full day of exam for a "minimal fee of $200" in addition to the $1800 deposit. He will then get evaluated and images in Monday morning. was FURIOUS as the whole purpose of leaving him overnight and prepaying $1800 for CT and observation was NOT to delay diagnosis and treatment... In other words, they will wait and let your dog suffer in pain and wait until it is an emergency condition before they act. read more

I disagree with the good reviews. The vet techs here are much more knowledgeable and kinder than the so called doctors. They are obviously fresh out of school and tremendously arrogant. The last time I had to take an animal there, they simply charged me money and wrote down everything I said about my animal and threw in a few medical words. They demand to run test after test and will speak to you as if you dont love your pet if you dare to know anything about your own pets history. They will take your money and twice in a row, two different animals and one thousand dollars later, they did not know what was wrong with my cat or dog. What a waste. They did a great job of diagnosing the skin condition on my dog. Even though they gave me a friendly welcome, we weren't there very long I may didn't spend very much time with my dog.A quick diagnosis is great and the fact that I was in and out in a half an hour was okay but the $280 price tag that was for flea medication that I can get it at Petsmart for hundred dollars and $180 for a half hour visit was too high. I get that their business that has to make money, but I would not recommend them because of the price. There are other veterinarians out there that do equal or better work for less money. read more

Let's see where do I begin. This is rather lengthy but definitely worth reading if you care about your fur child. I've NEVER in my entire life written a review but I couldn't pass up this opportunity. The only reason I'm giving them a1-star rating is because it won't let me leave 0-stars. It was about 4:30 in the afternoon and I was returning home from work. At the time, my little boxer was a little better than a year old and full of energy. I let him out on the back porch and was letting him run around. I sat down on the back porch and continued to let him run freely in my back yard. Suddenly I heard a crash and he started crying hysterically. I jumped up and looked around the corner to see him hobbling toward me with an obvious broken leg. I was mortified. I took him to Cole off Rayford because I knew it was the closest vet to my house and his primary is roughly an hour away. The techs at Cole were AMAZING but after x-rays, they said it was too complex for them to handle and recommended Blue Pearl. She called to BP at 5:00 to inform them that I was headed their way with a boxer with a broken leg. I showed up to BP at approximately 5:30 carrying my dog through the front door. at approximately 6:00, they finally got him some medicine to get him relaxed and take some of the pain away. At approximately 6:30, little miss Alice McDonald came in to start talking about options. I obviously knew it was going to require surgery as it was broken at his elbow. She immediately recommends amputation. I decline and asked for another option. She reiterated amputation. Again I decline and asked for another option. A THIRD TIME SHE RECOMMENDED AMPUTATION ON MY ONE YEAR OLD DOG! I again declined and asked for another option. She FINALLY said "The only other option is surgery." Ok now we're getting somewhere. She explained that the surgery was going to be expensive due to the location of the fracture and the plates needed were expensive. I explained to her "I don't care what it costs me, fix my dog. But I wanted to make sure he was in the best possible hands I could put him in." To which she replied "what's that supposed to mean?" I mean, to me, it's self explanatory but she obviously didn't get it. She avoided the question and proceeded with explaining the surgery and when it would take place. It was going to be the next day. I asked her how much it would cost. Her response, "I would say anywhere between $5,000 and $6,500 but shouldn't go over $10,000." SHOULDN'T?!?! Well considering it was no longer "emergency surgery", I asked for enough meds to make him comfortable through the night so I can take him to his primary care doctor the next morning. It's now 9:30 at night. She immediately comes back with "Why?". I explained I wanted a second opinion on her examination. She said "I wouldn't recommend that." I insisted that's how it was going to be. She, very snarkingly, responded asking "How much medicine do you want?" Well considering we were going to be home less than 12 hours now, I told her a day. She, again with an attitude told me she has to give me two days. Ok. I walked out to make a phone call and little miss Alice walked in to get my pup to take his IV out. My girlfriend gave him a pet on the head and kissed him and said she would see him in a bit. Alice then looked at my dog, pet him and right in front of my girlfriend said, "Don't worry buddy. We will be waiting to take care of you when they get you down there and realize they can't handle your injury." I come back inside to pick my pup up to carry him to the truck and another vet brings me his medication. Not sure why they changed but whatever. That's when my girlfriend told me what she said inside. Turns out, I went to Gulf Coast on Wirt and I-10. I truly can't speak higher about them. They are absolutely unbelievable. To the shareholders at BP, I will do everything I can and post negatively about you on every forum that is available. The lack of urgency and the abhorrent behavior and comments exhibited by your staff was/is totally inexcusable. Might want to get your price point down as well. "Shouldn't" go over $XX,XXX isn't the best way to attract customers. Finally, two days of meds and nearly 5 hours of wasted time and I was out $250. I brought my ill dog to this clinic because my mom had had good experiences there with her dog when it was under another name. I guess things have changed. I paid $800 and spent 3 1/2 hours at an empty clinic and left still not knowing what was wrong with my dog. To find out for sure, I would have needed to leave her overnight for an additional $1,500-2,500. Why bother going to the emergency clinic if I could have taken her to my vet the next day? I hate to say, but I have to agree with the other reviewers that making money is the main objective of this clinic. Also, I thought it very odd that they do none of the exam in the exam room. My fiancé and I brought our cat to Blupearl in Spring, TX and we thought we were doing the right thing because our local vet recommended this facility and our cat wasn't breathing very well. We brought our cat into this facility early in the day (3ish) and they gave our cat an evaluation and performed X-rays. We knew to wait a few hours for these tests and whatnot to take place. Six hours later we finally get to speak with the veterinarian looking over her case and she gives us the lay down of what was wrong and how critical her state was in. Blupearl put our cat on oxygen and said she was breathing fine for now. We were relieved but then as we started to sign paper work and listen to billing that's when things started to go downhill. The veterinarian looking over our cat informs us that evasive surgery (all surgeries) start out at $5,000 and can cost up to $10,000. My fiancé and I were shocked to here this but felt it was necessary to give our cat a fighting chance. But, here is the stipulation... they would not do surgery until the next day and when the surgeons feel our cat's case is necessary. I understand there might be a line of pets needing medical attention but this facility does not do any surgeries overnight. They wait for the surgeons to come in the morning and then start surgeries around 10am. When you are admitted to a normal ER, don't you expect medical attention ASAP if you are in critical condition? I would hope so. How does a 24/7 ER facility (as advertised on their building sign) not have any surgeries overnight? Our cat was on a breathing machine for over twelve hours and she died before they could do surgery on her. We were told that the over night vet or nurse would look over all the animals staying over the night and checking on their individual cases. I am starting to think this was an exaggeration now to make the owners feel better about dropping so much money. We could of taken our cat somewhere else, knowing that the surgeries would occur the following day but our cat was on a breathing machine. We had no choice. We were trapped. Our faith was in Blupearl. It got worse. When we came back to the facility (tired and very upset) we were greeted with, "You can pick up your cat behind the building and we will refund your money." Still in shock, we said, "Okay" with a strange look and left to the back of the building to claim our cat's body. The facility did not have any surgeon who was present near our pet's demise to speak with us. We felt like we were treated like second-class citizens being, "sent to the back." The vet or nurse in the back of the building was smoking and she said, "Hold on. Let me go get her." She hands us the box with our cat in it. My fiancé asks, "How does she look?" (crying) and the vet or nurse actually said, "She looks like a dead cat." Seriously. That is what she said. We just wanted to know if they cleaned her up or not. We didn't want to talk any more to her so we just left and drove off remembering all the good times we had with our cat. And it didn't end there like we hoped. We were told we would get a refund from one of the ladies at the front desk but when we checked our account a few days later only two thirds of it was refunded, just one last thing to add to injury. A quote from the Blupearl website, "Our veterinarians in Spring offer expert care in oncology, internal medicine, surgery/neurosurgery and other specialties, in addition to round-the-clock emergency medicine." After what I have expressed, does this sound like a 24/7 pet emergency care center to you? They are just an overpriced animal shelter, a pet hotel at best. I will re-post this review if someone from the Blupearl company attempts to remove this review. I wrote this review to inform and help better prepare the next family who is struggling with their pet and needs medical attention. Please take your pet elsewhere. read more

I was transferred in from another veterinarian so all the diagnosis was already done. My vet just couldn't watch my dog overnight. They showed no sense of urgency and zero customer service. Even though they were only supposed to give my dog some fluids overnight, I got hit with a $1000-$2000 estimate. I left him because there were no other options, but I would recommend that people look elsewhere for care of their pets. read more

I am not sure that I will recommend this vet as I had come prepared with my primary Doctors X-rays but I was hoping they did there own x-and testes. Instead I just went so he can read them to me for $120 which is the consultant price. I don't have complains on the staff they are wonderful and super nice but didn't like the services. read more
