The sushi was so gross. I've been working in sushi for a couple years now at a couple places and have never had worse sushi. We also flat out asked our waiter if the amaebi (sweet shrimp) was fresh today, he said yes, when we took a bite out of it, immediately we knew it wasn't. The salmon was also not fresh and frankly tasted old. The udon bowl was so weird and looked disgusting. The fried rice was way too salty and sweet at the same time. Just moved into the area and tried this place out, looks like we found out new sushi spot! Aidee was our server and was super sweet and took great care of us. Ambiance is very chill, very clean as well. We both got a bento box and they were delicious! So much food for a great price! I love this place. Tried several sushi meals and some cooked meals. My favorite starter is the Japanese lettuce wraps. Taste is unique with a touch of sweetness. I think the best wraps I've ever had. And I can't rave enough about the Sake tower. My friend and I go 2x a month and we both enjoy our towers. They are exquisitely decorated, beautiful to look at and the blend of sauces makes this treat a scrumptious feast every time. Marvelous! The manager always friendly and helpful. Went to Bluefin today for lunch and had a great experience. The service was stellar from beginning to end. They are great at making you feel welcomed. The ambiance in this place is also great. I was craving sushi and luckily this place opened near me, I'm pleased to say it was excellent. My server was a guy called Houston, very friendly, he like everyone else is still learning the menu. The menu itself is packed full of different types of rolls from classic, chef specials, cooked, fried, rice less and baked. The two rolls I had were fantastic and I'd definitely order them again. I'm not big on sushi so originally didn't want to try this place until I saw amazing reviews and pictures of food that were none sushi. There was another restaurant that I usually go to weekly but so glad to have found this place. I regret not trying this place out sooner. The restaurant was super clean, great ambiance, food portions sizable, food quality good and the food tasted great. The staff was attentive and friendly. The spicy tuna was the mushy variety that really lacked any flavor. The avocados weren't fully ripe, making them hard to bite, the other fish was blah. My standards are a bit high since I am sushi chef and owned an international sushi restaurant. So impressed! We live close by and have been meaning to try it out, SO glad we did. Sat at the bar and had a waiter and bartender taking care of us. Both were very nice and attentive. I got a the lychee martini which was very good, and my husband also enjoyed both of his cocktails (both were beautifully presented like you would get at a fancy craft cocktail bar). I got the filet mignon hibachi dinner and it was perfectly cooked, very flavorful and a huge portion. The menu is quite diverse with different sushi types grouped together (e.g. baked sushi, deep fried, fresh sushi, low carb, etc.). There are also non-sushi options (e.g. tonkatsu, udon, Korean ramen, bento boxes, etc) to choose from. The service was awesome and everything we ordered, including the sushi and tonkatsu, were excellent. The sushi is fresh and of good quality. If we weren't so full, we would've ordered dessert, which the restaurant also offers a variety of (e.g. various ice cream flavors, chocolate cake, cheese cake, key lime pie, etc.). Our first dining experience here left us very, very pleased. Prices are reasonable and fair...$78.60 (before tax and tip) for Edamame, Miso soup, Tonkatsu dinner, two full rolls (one baked and one fresh), and three different sushis (2 pc each so six total). This is my favorite sushi restaurant! My man and I go here very often! The miso soup is fantastic! I love their tuna sushi! So delicious!!! Our favorite sushi rolls are the Toyota, Wylie, Excalibur, and the crunch! But you really can't go wrong with any of them! The crunch rolls is a more basic roll but it's the best crunch roll I've ever had. The service is always very good and quick! If you are on the fence about going, do not hesitate! Okay, so we have been to this place three times. While the sushi was great (per my husband as I don't eat it) the hibachi was lackluster. Dry rice, unflavored chicken and no seasoning on the veggies. The waitress said the rice was to die for. It definitely was not. While the staff was kind they forgot about us for long periods of time and brought my soup and salad that was supposed to come first at the end of the meal. No fun to be forgotten about when there is no one else in the place but one other table. Hope the food/service improves as it's nice to have a place like this in the neighborhood. read more
