I had an absolute blast here. It looks small but don't let that fool you, there is plenty to keep you busy. We were there for about 2 hours. I highly recommend buying the tokens to do the animal feedings, I loved feeding the birds and sting rays the most. Soup was on shift while we were there and an absolute delight! Honestly i wish i never would visited. i left with tears in my eyes as this was one of the move neglectful "zoo" i have ever seen in my life. who ever runs this business should be ashamed of themselves. every tank was severely overcrowded or way to small. none of the tanks looked to be cleaned and the whole place smelled like old mildew. there was little to no staff supervision in almost any of the exhibits. every reptile tank had almost no fresh food and old mossy and moldy water an even having four bearded dragons in one enclosure. it's shameful to own a zoo and not know anything about the care standards of animals. the poor macaw was hiding in the coroner ripping its feathers out, and th hermit crab tank had not one hermit crab in it but was INFESTED with FULL SIZE ROACHES crawling in and out of the tank. i'm ashamed for going honestly and who ever owns this place letting the animals be neglected in such an extent honestly should be held accountable, disgusting behavior. read more

Incredibly sad. I worked at the Baltimore National Aquarium, and while I wasn't expecting it to be like that I was expecting it to at least have respect for the lives it contained within its tanks. You can tell the animals are overcrowded, stressed, and with minimal to no areas to seek reprieve from the many eyes and hands. A dead sting ray lay at the bottom of the pool, for who knows how long. If I could give the Rogers AR Blue Zoo a negative rating I would. My family and I stood in line with pre purchased tickets for over an hour waiting to get in. Then when we were inside, the lack of exhibits was appalling. The bubble station is weird and out of place in an aquarium atmosphere. The kids were way more interested in the bouncy pirate ship than anything else. The first 3 tanks where so dirty you could barely see in. Some one should rescue the all of the creatures from this place. Please do not spend your time or money here. read more

We have been waiting for this aquarium to open and of course went during their second week. It was a little crazy and a bit unorganized to get in. We were there when they opened and waited 30 minutes to get in. They had two lines (one for prepay and one for those who hadn't paid yet). Since we prepaid we thought we would get in sooner but that definitely wasn't the case. I'm sure that will fix itself over time. It is very hands on with several different types of fish to touch and even a little play area. Not a big aquarium by any means so don't plan on spending the entire day here. We got season passes and will certainly go again. Would recommend if looking for a way to spend time indoors for a couple hours. read more

The staff was nice, however so many things were not in working order. The water tables, the interactive TVs, and the scarf exhibit were not working. Today, 6-7-25, I was looking at a tank that contained 3 different species of fish and a shrimp. When I asked an attendant what I was looking at, she said she didn't know. When I asked her when the tanks would have signs informing people what types of creatures were in them, she said she didn't know. I was told two years ago that signs and new exhibits were coming soon. I may be cynical, but I believe the signs and the exhibits will come at the same time that Jesus does. This place is just sad. They don't even have air conditioning and rely on huge roll round industrial box fans. The animals are overcrowded and have no place to go to when they're stressed from so many eyes and hands constantly being on them. The Oklahoma aquarium in Jenks charges the same entry fee, 20 dollars, but is larger, cleaner, smells nice, is well lit, air-conditioned AND has quality exhibits that are CLEARLY LABELED as to what is in the tank. Blue Zoo had two years to do better, and I won't be back. read more

Not much to it. You can see the whole thing in about 45 mins and that's taking your time. Hand feed the animals is a total rip off.

Pre-purchases tickets or I likely would not have gone this week (due to cold and raining) because there was a ling line outside. Everyone standing out with their kids and umbrellas. Then a guy came out and split the line-motioning those with pre-purchased tickets to wrap around one side of the building and those who needed to buy tickets, to wrap along the other side. This helped nothing because their line went faster. I'm sorry, what was the point of getting them ahead of time? I completely understand they limit people inside so it doesn't get too co tested but waiting nearly an hour was brutal for a 3 and 5 year old. Once in, we were disappointed in the aquarium displays. Somewhat like tanks you see at a pet store. A few dirty tanks, couple with nothing in them. There were two long lines inside-one to see birds. The other to see reptiles and frogs I think. That line was always 20 deep and we never bothered after the hour wait to get in. The birds was disappointing-nothing but parakeets but glad we had tokens to get birdseed to feed them-the kids enjoyed that. So much they did it twice (mainly to use up tokens). There were other see and touch tanks-starfish, turtles, pedicure fish, and a koi pond you could feed. The kids preferred playing on the bouncy house made like a pirate ship. Geez. There were a couple water play tables however one was completely non functional. Thy can do that stuff at Amazeum for free. I was disappointed in the fact there was no mermaid tank. Nope, just a wall of screen showing a video of mermaids swimming and then the video panned out at times showing you it was a mermaid tank at another Blue Zoo location. Talk about robbed. How cheesy. The "shark" tank had 2 sharks the size of catfish. The saving grace for this place was the stingrays. You could feed them shrimp from your hand (only if you bought tokens to do so) It was quite exciting and crazy how they flap up the sides of the tank. That was fun. I'll post photos with the kids faces blurred. There was no one really paying attention that worked there to ensure kids washes their hands. Unsafe for all the animals. I scolded a kid who was picking up turtles and throwing back down in the water. I'm guessing all the animals will get sick and die in no time. They have sinks to wash hands, I only counted two one stall bathrooms. There are no water fountains. No snacks makes sense as they want you in and out so the next kid. An come in. Another things is it's LOUD in there. Kids running around everywhere. No safety either. You literally an exit at the "end" through the gift shop which is open to the lobby. Anyone could take a kid at any time or they could simply wander out if you took your eyes off and it's hard with so much chaos. I would not recommend this place. I definitely would say no way on a season pass. read more

I went in with high hopes but I was not impressed at all. We went on Mom Monday and I expected it to be busy but it was insane. That in itself wouldn't have bothered me but it was so crowded inside, that it felt like a safety hazard. I expected the animals to be the main attraction, but with how it is set up, the kid activities kind of clash with the fish displays. We couldn't even enjoy the fish because people were crowding everywhere, but there honestly wasn't much to see to begin with. Due to crowding, we didn't get to experience much of the touch pools, but it seemed like only one of them was full of fish, and the others I glanced at seemed bare, aside from a few starfish. The small aquariums by the entrance had touch screens but they weren't that informative and some didn't even work. I'm not even sure that they all had fish in them. The only display that really got our attention was the "River Giants" section. I wish that we could've enjoyed the sting ray pool more, but I was so put off by the crowding. A mini fridge (with what I assumed was the sting ray food) was in the main walkway, and so people with food tokens would be blocking the whole hall so you couldn't go one way or another and you were effectively stuck until someone was nice enough to let you through. There were lots of kid activities in the first main area, but there were so many children, my daughter barely got to play with anything. By the time she would finally get a turn, other children would take over. Also, for whatever reason, they had a class of children that were weaving through the aquarium - adding to the chaos. Once you finally got past the sting ray pool, there was also a small pirate bounce house, but that was completely unsupervised and big kids would be up there with little kids, and that just seemed like a recipe for disaster. There didn't seem to be a lot of employees in general and so we didn't even get to see the bird room that day, since you needed an associate to take you inside. The one employee I did interact with in the reptile area seemed irritated and overwhelmed as well. She informed me that a child whacked one of the tortoises in the neck. The water tables would've been cool, but it seemed like some of the levers didn't work. I didn't understand the giant projection of the mermaid swimming. It would've been nice if they had an actual mermaid present. Activity-wise, the only thing my daughter got to do was play with the blocks and the interactive projection. In the end, my daughter had a better time at Yum Yo's getting frozen yogurt than the entire hour we spent at Blue Zoo. Maybe if Blue Zoo wouldn't have been so insanely busy for their special, we would've had a better time, but I really don't think it is worth the $16-$20 per person they're asking for. I feel like they've been open long enough that they should be able to anticipate how busy and crowded it can get, and that they should have more employees supervising everything - for the kids' safety, and for the animals sake. read more

My husband and I took our son today on a whim and had a great time! The staff were super friendly and we loved how interactive and toddler friendly the exhibits were. Misty, the woman who guided us, was amazing! Not only did she give us a TON of information and fun facts about the animals but also worked amazingly with our son who is 3 years old. We took our 2 year old and 1 year old and it was a wonderful experience for them. They were mesmerized by the large tanks full of fish, the stingray petting area, the touchable sea urchins, hermit crabs, and starfish, and the reptile habitat. The iguanas came up to them, as well as the turtles. The interactive activities--the felt board, the scarf vacuum, the water games, and the climbing area were super kid friendly, and they enjoyed them greatly. My wife and I took our grandkids (5 and 3 yr olds) to Blue Zoo March 24. After reading all the negative comments, we were reluctant to go, however, I'm glad we did. In my opinion, most of the issues are due to the fact that Blue Zoo just opened for business on Feb. 7, and they don't have everything ironed out just yet. That and the overwhelming number of people that are coming to see a new attraction in Rogers. I'm not sure why people that pre-order tickets are not getting in faster, but I also don't know why that seems to be such a big turn off to some people. It is a fairly small place, but there are plenty of things to see and do. We loved touching the fish, crabs, starfish, and stingrays...and feeding the parakeets was really cool for my 5-year-old grandson. The only complaint I have is that most of the paper towel dispensers were empty at the hand washing stations...but I don't think that will always be a problem. This is a fun excursion for families. Kids love it! If you want the full aquarium experience, I would not recommend this. But it has a few attractions adults might like, such as small sharks and stingrays. The stingrays can be touched, which was a big hit with grade school kids. The younger ones were a little reticent. The big hit with toddlers was the small turtles and a large tortoise. There are also shows, but we didn't go to any for time reasons. The price is reasonable, the staff is friendly. Very disappointed. We along with numerous other groups pre purchased tickets online. They were at max capacity so had a line for pre purchased and purchase onsite. The pre purchased attendees had to wait so much longer and did not get priority entrance. Just seems backwards for good customer service. There was not a ton in there for the price you paid and the aquariums seemed a little dirty/dingy. Maybe if you go at a less busy time it would be better, but definitely for little people and not older children or adults. All in all it was an okay outing, but not superb. read more

I took my 2 Grandkids there in Baton Rouge, La., yesterday - prepaid online and OMG - the prices they charge for what little you see is absurd!!! It was almost $60.00 for the three of us as one was 12 years old. The price for "tokens" is even more absurd!! $3 for one, $5 for two, $10 for 4. The two young girls at the register handed us 3 wrist bands and we had to put them on ourselves. Not good if you have a person who has difficulties with arthritic hands. Many of the tanks were dirty, Most of the "monitors" that showed you or told you what was in each tank were non-functional. You only had 5 minutes in the bird house and were given a tiny tiny bit of birdseed - IF you had already purchased the tokens. The sting rays were ok - but that's about all. I would NOT recommend this place at all. Unless they cut their price at least in half and GIVE you the tiny amount of birdseed that they allow. We got there when they first opened so there were no lines at that time. I didn't even see any bubble station that is spoken about - in a nutshell - DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME/MONEY !!!!! read more

If I could give zero stars I would on customer service on even caring about your customers or even the fact that they have a customer representative that answers the phone and lies about contacting you back , the fact that this is my first time going and the moment I walk in the first person I see is being rude and correcting my child and I politely say I'm sorry my kids are very hands on and they continue to get frustrated with me because of it then I call to let them know I want my money back I don't like what I when t threw and don't want to argue I need a refund and they promised to contact me back and ignored me and also forwarded my call not once but twice shows they saw me calling , worst aquarium do better don't throw parties to celebrate bad customer service and the family I went with also said the same thing so I'm not the only or last to experience this ... do better or find new staff the place looks like petco but you pay to get in and trust I have receipts of what the guy said to me and the fake promises read more
