Professor Hacker's Dinosaur Canyon (I'm calling it "Dino Canyon" from now on) is one such contribution to the putt-puttian zeitgeist, and it is a hoot. Its name is half-right; while there is no canyon (but there is a rad volcano thing, it is riddled with dinosaurs, most being extremely, lovably derpy. If you dig a leisurely stroll through campy terrain, you'll love Dino Canyon. The golf itself is nice but not exceptional. Sadly, the dinos are mere window-dressing, not actually incorporated into the holes themselves. There are two courses: Raptor and T-Rex. We chose T-Rex as we were promised stairs and a slightly more challenging course. I wouldn't call it a challenge (we scored 49 to 47 on 18 holes), but it is nice and fun and we'll-designed. The price is pretty swell. A game for two adults is about $25, and if you keep the scorecard you can play the other course for $5.50 each. Also, a hole in one earns you a free game! Heck yeah. The bathrooms, holy smokes. So clean. Seriously, hold it 'til you get there. You'll be glad you did. If you're in Branson, don't go to a show. Go to Dino Canyon.
