My friends and I recently went to The Experience Escape Rooms in Cave Springs for the first time. We were scheduled for 8:30-10:00 PM on a Friday. We arrived about 10 minutes late, thinking it was just a drop-in window -- completely our misunderstanding. But the way we were treated was unacceptable. Claudette, the employee working that night, immediately scolded us like children for being late. She raised her voice, spoke down to us, and made the whole group uncomfortable. This was our first time ever going, and instead of welcoming us, she made us feel like a problem. I had already paid online for 7 people, and 2 more of my friends joined, making 9 total. Claudette told me she needed my card but never explained why. I assumed it was to verify my online purchase -- not to charge me again. Three weeks later, I checked my bank account and found out she charged me for tickets my friends had already paid for themselves. I went in person to calmly resolve the situation, and again, Claudette immediately became defensive and rude. She raised her voice, insisted "I can't help you," told me I was "on camera," and claimed my friends had spent their money "next door at the asylum." She refused to let me speak to the owner and continued arguing, even though I stayed calm the entire time. So I left and disputed the charge. Two days later, the owner called -- not to apologize, not to address Claudette's behavior, but just to question why I disputed the charge. That was the final straw. Never coming back. Terrible customer service. Friends and family -- stay away. There are plenty of escape rooms in NWA with amazing staff and better communication. This place is not worth the headache. read more

We booked the entire room for my son's 15th birthday. He had 7 friends and cousins with him for a total of 8 13-16 year olds. They are teenagers, but they are all very respectful and generally good kids. The employee who greeted us was very rude, to me, but VERY VERY rude to my teens. We are E.R. junkies and were headed for a mini-vacay on the way to Eureka Springs with my 9yr old daughter. We decided to see if there were any rooms along the way. Googled and found The Experience Escape Rooms. I gave them a call and they told us to come on in and they would fit us in. Great owners, good value, amazing aesthetics, and fun puzzles! We loved this place so much, we did 2 different rooms in 1 day! It is extremely affordable - only $25 a person - and SO unique! We did the Al Capone room (highly recommend, but hurry! they are ridding of it soon to keep things fresh!) and the newest one, Train of Thought. Claudette was our escape room hostess and she is a BLAST! So sweet & just so much fun. They have signs, win or lose, to take a picture with after your game concludes, as well as a giant map of the United States with push pins to indicate where you are visiting from. This was our second visit to this location. Last summer we did their Al Capone room and this year we did the Jesse James room. Last year there was a male host who were very friendly and helpful (I seem to recall our host last year was an owner). It was a good enough experience that we came back this year. Unfortunately our experience this year wasn't nearly as pleasant. For starters, the hostess was not wearing a mask during this COVID-19 pandemic and repreatedly came within 6 feet of us. She was not welcoming and we were left with the impression that waiting on us was a drudgery (we had reservations for 4). As we came in there was another group of cutomers in the lobby, probably six, and none of them were wearing facemasks either. This is during the same week when Arkansas issued a statewide face mask mandate as coronavirus cases surge. After our hour was up we had not solved our puzzle but felt we were close. We asked the hostess what we had missed and she refused to tell us saying, "I can't give you the answers because you might come back." She then scoffed, "you weren't even close" and this came across as somewhat demeaning. Last year our host was very gracious and at the end of the experience he explained what we had missed. My three star review is an average of our five star experience in 2019 and are one star exerience in 2020. read more
