We rented the Executive Lodge at Horton Farms on homeaway, and I feel obligated to warn other…read morepotential renters to think twice before renting or planning an event there! BE CAREFUL! The owner is very rude and aggressive! We rented the lodge for a company retreat, and during a scavenger hunt, three young women made a wrong turn and misunderstood some signs. The owner verbally berated them, chased them in his SUV, and pulled in front of their car and braked--almost causing an accident. They came back to the lodge and texted me to come out to calm him down, explain the misunderstanding, and clarify that no one had snuck onto the farm. When I came out of the lodge, he was less than a foot away from one of the young women, screaming at her. I have NEVER seen anyone so angry--he was red-faced, and actually spitting because he was yelling so hard! He threatened to kick us off of the property, and repeatedly accused the young women of being "disrespectful" because they'd been laughing and having fun when he first approached them (again, they were participating in a scavenger hunt, and had no reason to believe he'd see them as criminals rather than renters who made a mistake). The young women were justifiably shaken and scared, and not only was our teambuilding retreat ruined, but we had to pay for a hotel room since they no longer felt safe being on the premises with someone so unstable and aggressive! When we left, he went on to lie to homeaway, claiming that we left the place dirty after our entire group spent almost an hour cleaning and straightening it. He's now refusing to return our $500 security deposit. Luckily, we were able to send homeaway some pictures proving that we hadn't left a mess. I'm shocked that someone who decorated the lodge and farm with so much Christian imagery could have SO MUCH HATE in his heart, and be so quick to verbally abuse and threaten young women...not to mention so quick to lie. I guess I missed the part of the Bible where Jesus lied, stole, threatened, and yelled angrily at young women who'd made an honest mistake.

The park is amazing, but it will need some serious upkeep to open up some trails…read more As we walked towards Crystal Bridges most of the trails were cleared, but the beauty of the trails were interrupted by the recent storm. They'll need to pick up and clear the fallen trees and debris. The trails were mostly cleared for walking, and the trail bikers didn't find any problems making their rounds, but it just wasn't its prettiest. I'm confident the City of Bentonville will get to it. It's a beautiful park with plenty of potential to get back to it's typical beauty.

BEAUTIFUL is the the one word to describe the Scenery here…read more I give this place only ONE STAR due to the people (Bicyclist) you may encounter here. Which can completely ruin your walk/hike. Most of the bicyclist are respectful. But over the last two years we've seen some real JERKS disrespect people walking through. This past Saturday was our first encounter with one of those Jerks. Pedestrians and bikers must share some of the same trails and bikers have signs that they they must yield to people walking and even notify when they are going to pass you so you're not ran over or hit by a bike. We've seen quite a few confrontations between pedestrians and bicyclist. My son and my 7 yr old niece were walking back from the bathroom as a family of 4 were walking the opposite direction were about to meet when this Moron tried to pass between them before the gap closed and hit and knock down my niece. He didn't have the patience to wait for the families to cross each other so he would have a clear path around after knocking her down he slowed down without stopping and look back and yelled "is she okay?" but didn't stop, just kept going. But then... As the JERK lay there on the ground with a bruised face, and two flat tires. I also didn't feel any concern or sympathy for him. But I still asked him if he was okay. I gave he a short lecture on karma and we left the park. Now remember not all bicyclists are that way. A lot of them are respectful and will wait or even let you know if they are ready to pass. But there are still those dumb few that don't care at all.

It was super close to where we lived, had the reception area and ceremony area right there was how she convinced me over our 5 minute phone call before I got yelled at by drill sergeants. But man once I saw the place I was hooked. They also made it super easy to decorate by having a lot of things you can use in storage rather than breaking the bank on decorations. Clean up is also super helpful. We had the champagne wall and the greenery wall and it was just an absolute blast, and a dream of a day. Would highly recommend. We WOULD have done an outside wedding which is also gorgeous, but my husband is hot natured. But the inside was just as nice for the ceremony especially with new renovations letting a lot more light in.

First…read morestop was @monah_nwa which is a small but very well curated museum of Native American history- much was from tribes and people of this area of North America, but it also included beautiful and well-preserved artifacts from indigenous people of North and South America. Admission is whatever you choose to donate. My teens participated in the arrowhead "dig" in the area around the teepee out front...they got to keep one of the arrowheads they "discovered" and then purchased the rest with some mad cash from their grandma! You need about 2-3 hours to make your way through the entire museum and get the gist, and a bit more than 3 hours if you want to listen about each numbered artifact with the provided sound wand. This place is truly a hidden gem and one of the most beautiful and magical locations we have ever visited. From the moment you arrive it feels peaceful and almost otherworldly. The chapel is perfectly tucked into nature and blends seamlessly with the surrounding trees and landscape. The architecture is absolutely stunning. The glass walls allow the natural light to pour in and make you feel completely connected to the outdoors. It feels calm serene and sacred without being overwhelming. Even if you are not attending a service it is a place that invites quiet reflection and appreciation of its beauty. Walking the grounds was just as special as stepping inside. Everything is well maintained and thoughtfully designed which adds to the overall experience. It is the kind of place that makes you slow down take a deep breath and truly enjoy the moment. Photos do not do it justice and it is something that really needs to be experienced in person. If you are visiting the area or even just passing through this chapel is absolutely worth the stop.
