The upstairs bathtub was not filled and tested. After the first shower, water was leaking into the downstairs ceiling. 2. The washer and upstairs bathroom drains were not inspected and water was leaking out of the sewer pipe under the house. John sent a robot under the house but didn't run the water while it was there and he didn't physically go under the house so the leak was missed. 3. The dryer vent was never tested. It was completely clogged and blocked which is one one the leading causes of household fires. My agent contacted the owner who was completely unhelpful and unsympathetic to our complaints.

The tenants reported water leaks in the south-facing wall, under the sink, in the roof, and at a sliding door leading to the deck. We had mold upstairs and downstairs. Completely unsafe for the tenants. Often working with contractors, even when you are nearby, is challenging. Imagine my fears trying to "manage this" from afar. With Trevor, though, no worries! He was communicative, responsive, and sent pictures and documentation all throughout the process. He explained what he would do; how long it would take and provided a detailed estimate. Sealing all the leaks took weeks. But Trevor was there for us all the time. I never felt I needed to drive up and see for myself. Things are now sealed (with the help of another great contractor, John Forbess). Great team work between the two. We now have certifications and lab reports showing no mold or fungus. My wife and I feel so blessed to have found Trevor. Best yet, through out the ordeal, no surprise "add-on's" on the original price for the work. That is integrity! The ceiling had started turning gray in one spot so we were pretty sure there was a leak. Trevor responded promptly, came and took a look at that area as well as a couple other areas we suspected would have mold. Throughout the process he was professional, friendly, and good at communicating about any scheduling changes. He also was good about keeping us aware of what areas had a lot of mold, and when one area only had a little mold he cut a little less than expected and even gave us the lower of the two estimates he had originally given based on the job going smoothly and that area not being very extensive. His pricing was reasonable for the job, and his work was great! He cleaned up after himself (no piles of dust from the drywall), and was unphased when he was opening our drywall and a bat flew out of the wall! He even made sure to tape up the plastic over that room's doorway extra well when he was done to keep the bat out of the rest of our living spaces until we could get a company out to take care of the bat issue. When he left, everything was clean and contained. He also helped us identify where the leak was coming in after everything was opened and now we know what area to look at for fixing the leak completely. Thanks, Trevor!

After sending me a message on the phone that they found a number of dead mice and dead chipmunks last week, on the third billed visit, with no mention of exclusions, the VP of Operations, Lisa, now claims that they have sealed up the outside of the house. I haven't confirmed this because it takes two hours to drive up there. On the next visit, they plan to sanitize. My husband now tells me that Hatch employees who came out for the estimate said there's a monthly Hatch customer in the forest nearby. They said they sanitize using Pine Sol. They didn't bother to inspect the space underneath the cabin. I've now had the very unpleasant experience of researching what it actually takes to exclude mice and chipmunks from a pier and beam cabin. Rodent borne pathogens require industrial enzymatic neutralizers, not scented household cleaners. The urine of mice and chipmunks can be detected by other mice and chipmunks from hundreds of yards away, acting as a beacon for proven habitats such as my cabin. Chipmunks are great diggers and have to be excluded using industrial grade steel hardware trenched underground. If exclusions were done correctly, I won't be a monthly customer for Hatch, which is probably really their goal.

Jay did amazing work for my family. The previous contractor who set our granite countertops didn't…read moremount the kitchen sink properly. They reused an old cast iron sink that is very heavy. I called Jay and he was quick to respond. He braced the sink properly and made sure it was safe. If he hadn't fixed it that day it would have crashed through and crushed the plumbing causing major structural and flood damage. I will be using him in the future for the homes I clean and manage. He really saved me a lot of money.

Servpro Upland:…read more Started off with the Monrovia franchise, which seemed very on top of things, but was transferred to the Upland franchise for Eaton fire remediation. They did not seem as professional, but they were responsive at least, even calling me specifically last week to say they were hiring weekend crews and was I open on the 1st (I wasn't) or the 8th (I was), both Saturdays in February. When Servpro didn't show today and I called to ask why, the office manager (Abbey Khoury) said that they don't work weekends. So then I asked why she had called last week to make the offer of service on a Saturday. She said she had no recollection of the conversation (and since it was a call, I have no proof of what was said). So back to square one for cleaning and remediation from the Eaton fire! Servpro Upland has tarnished the Servpro brand for me, for sure!
