In February 2019, my ground floor flooded, due to extensive rain and snow accumulation. Water came in underneath the walls, and seeped up through the floor. It was during a snowstorm, and a power outage, and I was desperate for assistance. After speaking with Robert, with Blue Van Restoration, he assured me that he would be at my home at 6 o'clock, and at 6 o'clock, he arrived! For the next three days, he helped clean up the water that continued to run through my home, and he continued to come back every day, until my house was dry, and everything could be put back together. In January 2023, the same thing happened, after extensive rains. Robert arrived at my house within 20 minutes, assisted me with getting the water under control, as much as possible, and came back the following day to make sure that everything was going well. He has continued to follow up with calls and texts, to make sure my house is now in the process of drying out. I found Blue Van Restoration through Googling around looking for a mold inspection company. I actually used their website sent an inquiry and Robert called, but I didn't recognize the number so I let it go to voicemail. He left me a very detailed voicemail and I called him back immediately. He uses a specialized tool called an "InstaScope" which he let me know is the only one in California. I didn't think much of it until the day of the testing. This tool gave me real time, results for each and every room and we did not have to take air samples, ship them out to a lab, and wait for results. Robert was patient with me for all of my questions, both in person and throughout our email correspondence. After the test results he gave me extremely detailed advice for how to improve the interior air quality. It was a bit overwhelming at the time, but he said he would email everything he tells me. That night, he emailed me a very well written and extremely detailed advice and suggestions for each and every single room without missing a single detail and what tools would be helpful. He also included links for the disinfectants and HEPA air filters that could be bought at the hardware store or amazon. He said he could do the work for me, but it would be much cheaper to just do it ourselves. Either way it was good to have both options. He did all of this without any additional cost or referral links to benefit him at all. We followed his advice and got tested again and everything was in exceptional levels as well as the home being wonderfully fresh. This past weekend, I came home to find water dripping from my ceiling, which caused water damage. I called many different companies, as well as emergency 24 hr companies. Robert is the one you should hire to test mold and remediate because he's great at all of those! I have worked with Robert for over 2 years as our house has been remediation for 3 yrs. Robert's Instascope provided detailed information of location mold that traditional companies could not. He spent almost 8 hours scanning my house and discovered new mold and old mold that were growing again in the remediated areas. When he came to test post remediation, he found more mold that my remediation company ignored or just didn't notice. Obviously my remediation company was doing a terrible job! So then Robert came back as a remediator for several times, and he is the one I trust. I suffered from toxic mold illness, and my sensitivity to mold is almost superhuman. Robert has been such a wonderfully helpful individual!! He and I have been in contact regarding a rental we just moved into. I cannot say enough great things about Robert and Blue Van Restoration! I found Robert through a friend who used his services and he came highly recommended and did not disappoint. I have already recommended him to several friends and family. Robert is very responsive with questions and helpful in every way possible. I have been looking for a new home and Robert did the mold inspection while in escrow and steered me clear from a seemingly beautiful new condo that had hidden mold source/s. He did not recommend that particular condominium for me because it had too many mold problems. I found another new home and Robert inspected it and found mold in the attic but told me it was treatable if I was willing to remediate. We remediated the mold in the attic as well as some other areas in the kitchen and bathroom.
