I appreciate the awesome job that Greg Gulli and team did. New roof looks great, rotting plywood has been removed, and the removal of several trees too close to our cabin enhances the appearance of the property and reduces and pine needle maintenance and fire risks. read more

So thankful we went with Greg and his team to do a concrete slab for us! He was extremely professional, communication between him and his team was excellent throughout the project, they were always on time, and we are so thrilled with how the slab turned out. They were able to get started on our project right away and had great communication with us when things needed to be delayed a few days due to the Line Fire and a rain/hail/thunder storm came in the day the concrete was being poured. I would 100% recommend Greg and his team! read more

Greg and his team have done an amazing job at our Running Springs cabin. We had a challenging project - a cabin on a steep hill with a cracked foundation that needed underpinning and potentially lifting. I interviewed half a dozen contractors and they were either not qualified enough for the job, or were not interested because they felt that the project is too challenging, or were too expensive. Gregory was the guy that checked all the boxes. His rates were reasonable, he was definitely qualified, and was not scared to take on a tough job. Needless to say, he did an outstanding job and was on time. Greg is also very easy to work with and communicates well throughout the project. Communication was extremely important because this was my first construction project at this scale, and Greg explained very well the technical parts and worked closely with me and the engineer. He also helped with acquiring permits. No matter the size and complexity of your project, Greg is one of your top choices in the area! I look forward to working on more projects together! read more

Here in 2024 we had the exact same excellent experience as Xiang L. in his review from 2022, so I'm repeating it again. Greg is a great guy and very professional. He is very responsive, friendly, and is easy and clear to communicate with. He kept us informed as events came up. His team, especially his lead Processo, is very well organized and efficient. Processo was very open to tweak suggestions and took care of all our requests. After the demo it looked like a bomb dropped and when they left all was cleaned up. The result for us is nearly 1500 sqft in three levels of beautiful Trex decking, one front, upper and lower back. We are also very satisfied, also strongly recommend Greg Gulli and his team! The first photo shows demo and construction start. The last five show finished deck. read more

We found Greg on yelp and hired him to replace our existing wood deck with Trex. Greg's communication was great throughout the process and the deck was finished on time. Yes, I am a fan. Greg Gulli Construction (Greg) was the winning bid for contractors I considered for a 20' x 24' Trex deck at my cabin. Greg is a licensed contractor, straight-shooter and had excellent experience and judgment for this job. I work with contractors all the time in L.A. as I am a real estate investor. I know to be careful about contractors from experience. Greg met me on time, was professional, while personal. It's like he had a sixth sense of how I wanted the deck to look. He got the job done and he finished with all the details, like an added rain gutter, concrete pavers, trim boards around the base of the deck, etc. I did start with a contract, drawings, and an elevation I sketched. I made some aesthetic requests during construction. From the beginning his price was fair; he met me on time; he started even after snows fell; he handled the permit process with the City of Big Bear Lake; and I liked that he kept materials separate from his price. He gave me the option to source materials. Turns out I used Butcher Block for supplies as it was the same price as suppliers "down the hill" after trip charges. I will work with Greg again given the chance. Job Cost: About $10k labor; $10k materials, including a few extras. Extras: concrete pavers, facia board around base, rain gutters Communication: Text and email. Greg was very responsive. Permits: Not needed for this deck elevation. Permit investigation etc. began immediately. Took the City 3 weeks to determine this. City Permitting: Greg checked w/ City - confirmed not needed. Materials: From Butcher Block (they set-up an account for me to pay to) Pay: Check and Google Pay. Paid contractor installments: roughly 10%, 40%, 40%, 10% Paid Supplier: All at the end ($10k) Help: Greg staffed w/ 2 knowledgeable guys, very smart, hard-working. Inception: Contract signed 10/27/18. Work completed 12/24/18. Payment: read more

TL;DR; Greg is fantastic, our deck turned out great, I absolutely recommend him. We worked with Greg from start to finish on the design, demo and construction of a new deck for our cabin. He was able to help us figure out what would work best with designs and materials. I can't promise Greg and his crew will work through a brutal winter, but they did for me! When everyone else was by the fire with cocoa, Greg was out in the snow building our amazing new deck. read more

UPDATE: He texts me the next morning threatening me he will "write a bad review on my unsafe dirty property"... umm I hired you, not the other way around. Fastest he every responded to any of my messages ha. Very unprofessional and complete waste of time. Wouldn't provide an official breakdown of work and estimate until the day before we scheduled for the repairs to be done. I noticed there was no guarantee of work / warranty, usually a year would be provided, but in his case he is UNABLE TO GUARANTEE THE QUALITY OF HIS WORK. He literally can't say his work would last the winter, after quoting me $3500 for the deck repair. Apparently this was considered a "band aid" repair, even though that was never conveyed to me. I wanted a full repair, no temporary fix, I could get that done for $1500. What's most upsetting is I blocked of the week from rentals for the repair, which has now costed me income. Beware. read more

If you need help with any kind construction/repair projects in Big Bear, if you want someone who is extremely reliable, extremely respondent, and professional, Gregory is your Man. Gregory was the 5th person I approached for help, others just stopped communicating and answering my calls and messages, when I said we need to take a builder permit. Gregory connected me to a Civil Engineer and helped work with Insurance. His price was reasonable. He was good at his work, took time to do things properly by codes. Gregory took care of a few additional things which were not included in the quote. I am very happy! I highly recommend Gregory! read more

*HIGHLY RECOMMEND!* Finding Greg has changed our family AirBnb Business from a $100 a night potential to a $550 a night experience! We met with many contractors before meeting Greg who just didn't show the passion, care and creative vision Greg has. We bought a cabin in the Big Bear area to use as a vacation rental. We hired Greg and crew to design and build two decks with stairways, a brick patio with a fire pit, spa area and a parking area. He helped us a lot with planning and gave us excellent design ideas. Greg was responsive to our communications with him and always followed through in a timely manner. He was easy to communicate with and we got along very well. He's an all around good person who cares about craftsmanship. Greg and his team did a great job on my side patio. My wife and I first wanted a 10×16 paver patio with a small walkway. After his team finished the job, my wife and I felt the patio area was too small. So we decided we wanted to extend the patio. His team came back in and extended out the patio without any issues. Greg was responsive throughout the patio build. I felt he was a reliable contractor. read more

Greg is a true lifesaver, I cannot praise him enough! We had a contractor who made major promises and did not deliver, and Greg rescued us from what could have been a very dire situation. We needed the house to be rental ready by Christmas, and Greg swooped in with his amazing team to finish up 2 bathrooms and a kitchen. He was quick to communicate, respond, and accommodate us every time we needed him so that we could pass the rental inspection. Greg's team is stellar, you will not be disappointed. Greg just completed a rebuild of our stairs leading from the street to our Cabin on a very steep downhill slope. It was quite a job & it turned out beautiful! We had the misfortune of a tree falling on our home. For several weeks we struggled to find a reliable contractor to help with the emergency repairs that needed to be done to our property. Greg and has crew were always easy to reach and dependable through the whole process. Greg was very knowledgeable and professional, even helping us navigate our claim with a rather stubborn insurance company with patience and understanding. The work was completed on time, up to code, beautifully, and for the amount quoted. I will absolutely be using his services again in the future for other upgrades to be done around my property. I can't say enough about Greg Gulli! Greg exceeded our expectations. We needed to have a garage slab removed and re-poured. Most contractors I attempted to contact prior to finding Greg, either didn't have time to help or just didn't return my call at all. Greg was very responsive. He was easy to schedule with and prior to taking a look at our job, he met up with us at a property he was doing work at so that we could see the quality of work he offers. That was very helpful because when working with a new contractor, it is often a question mark as to what you are going to get. One thing that was a big deal with this particular project, was timing. We were in a hurry. Greg got the job done! He jumped right on it and knocked it out of the park. The job commenced before I thought he (or anyone for that matter), would have been able to. It was awesome. His communication was fantastic. He checked in regularly and sent us photos of the progress. We live out of the area and working with Greg from afar, was a dream. He was extremely helpful and helped us out with odds and ends that we had not thought of. He is very kind and on top of his game. The end result was fantastic. We are SOOOOOO appreciative that we found Greg! We highly recommend him. Absolutely fantastic contractor!!! A+++++++ read more

Greg is uber professional and gets the work done as promised. He sticks to his word. Not sure why anyone would state otherwise in these reviews, but he did our 12,000 sq.ft. residence with a 1,200 sq.ft. guest house in Bel Air and we are very happy with his performance. The quality of the work is outstanding. If you want a skillful framer, drywall, concrete or stucco guy, he would probably be your best option. We hired Greg and his team to completely renovate the exterior of our cabin in Big Bear. We met several contractors and Greg's quote was fair, he was professional and a great communicator, and he had a team ready to start in 2 weeks. His team sanded and stained the entire exterior of our cabin. The wood was black with stains. They started on time, worked everyday, and got it done when they said they would. His team did an excellent job restoring the exterior wood, sanding down the beams and siding, I almost didn't want to stain! They put a lot of time and work into the prep and it really shows. The dark stain turned out amazing, we couldn't be happier. Next, Greg and his team tore down and built a brand new Trex composite deck on our very sloped lot. We sent him a drawing with trex colors and stain color and he took care of everything! The deck turned out even better than we had hoped, solid and beautiful! Once again his team worked everyday, Greg sent pictures, he was prompt and professional in all communication, and the completed deck exceeded our expectations! The deck is the best part of our whole cabin now, we could not be happier!!! Finally, Greg and his team installed all brand new dual pane windows in our old 1969 cabin and trimmed the windows on the exterior and interior. The cabin is almost unrecognizable! We had some work done by someone else on the interior and we wish we would have gone with Greg. Greg is one of the good contractors and they are hard to find! When we do phase 2 on the interior (to fix problems left from another contractor), we know who to call. If you want fair pricing, professional, hard working, prompt communication, and great work you can count on with every project, I highly recommend Greg and his team! Thanks Greg!!! read more

We had the pleasure of recently working with Greg and his crew to redo and build out our decks in Big Bear. We tried for months to get contractors to come out and provide quotes. Greg was super quick and came in with the best bid for the value. Included was reinforcement of our deck for a hot tub as well. He was super responsive and considered all of our concerns and thoughts along the way. We had a little issue with the stain due to the weather so we asked if he could hold off on the fix until we had drier weather. He had zero issue with this and even provided us with a contractor who specializes in stain and painting to come out months later to finish the job right. We'd recommend Greg and crew to anyone looking to get your job done quickly and professionally. An added plus is that we really liked all of them personally. Thank you Greg and crew for sticking it out with us! Our decks looks beautiful! read more

Greg Gulli is a gem. Big Bear Lake is a small town and its contractors are kept busy and hard to get in a hurry, so we were very pleasantly surprised when Greg showed up at our house the same day we called to take a look at our roof project. He spent all the time needed to talk to my husband and me and then invited us to check out the job site he was on that day. We went over that afternoon -- massive project several times the size of ours -- and it was bustling, but so orderly. We were impressed. We said yes to a very reasonable estimate, yes again to a fair increase after his inspection revealed some issues (he sent photos to illustrate), and Greg's guys got to work for us just a week later. They finished days sooner than he'd told us to allow, and left our house the same as the big, expensive project nearby -- neat, orderly and swept clean with a beautiful new roof. We found him to be all the things we would love in any contractor -- fair, reliable, fast and RESPONSIVE! Also just a really nice guy. They even shingled the little gas meter shelter. I cannot say enough good things about our experience with Greg. We would recommend him to anyone! read more

Greg built a horizontal wood fence for me. He was fantastic to work with. First, he was diligent and thorough. The fence looks amazing and exactly how I first described it to him. Second, his pricing was reasonable. He stayed on budget and did what he could to make payment easy for me. Third, he was really easy to communicate with. He kept me updated, but made great decisions without needing my input at every step. Fourth, he was super quick. It's rare to be surprised by how quickly a contractor finishes a job. But that was Greg. Can't wait to use him again. read more

Oh man, do we love Greg! My elderly mom needed to fix up a rental home for my disabled brother & me being in HI & overseeing the project was a seemingly daunting & stressful task. Greg Gulli came highly recommended by a close friend who is a VP of a major development company in San Bdno. Greg was hands-on from the start, he understood the stresses & delicate family dynamic w which he was dealing. He made sure he was available & in touch, he is kind & understanding. He listens, is patient w Qs, works w our budget, & explains what's going on in simple terms. He is fair & amenable & produces gorgeous results. My mom, brother, & sister in law are so happy w his work & we all came out of this construction job successfully when so many things could have gone wrong. Greg's professionalism, tenacity, & work production was the reason this project was so successful. I recommend Greg for any and all construction needs. He will tell you things straight, he is HONEST, & extremely TRUSTWORTHY. I can honestly say I have 100% confidence in him. These are characteristics that can be very hard to find in a contractor.
