I recently hosted my daughter's birthday party at Sport Stable and had a really mixed experience. On the positive side, the facility itself is amazing. The space is great for kids' parties, and we truly had a fun time once everything got going. Unfortunately, the experience with staff took away from what could have been a great event. Most of the staff we interacted with seemed unhappy to be there and came across as rude or dismissive. There were also issues with event coordination. The person in charge, Ali, got the party time wrong. even though it had been confirmed multiple times.. Zoe ended up stepping in to fix the situation, and she really went above and beyond. Since the party had effectively been scheduled an hour late, she had to make about 10 trips back and forth setting up tables and chairs to get the room ready in time. I genuinely appreciated her effort and willingness to jump in and help. When we went to the front desk to pay the remaining balance, the interaction was also off-putting. The staff member greeted us with a "what's up?" in a tone that felt more confrontational than welcoming. Overall, the facility has a lot of potential and is a great space, but the staff experience was disappointing enough that I wouldn't recommend hosting a party here until there are improvements in customer service and organization. read more

My son was asked to sub in for a basketball game. In order to watch him play I had to pay $15!? For 1 hour!? That is completely ridiculous

If you want baseball or softball to be ruined for your child and to waste thousands of dollars on a program that will only cause your child to regress in their skills, go to RoughRiders. They like to brag about their players that received draft offers, but you wont get that treatment. This review is mainly for the baseball side, but the softball side isn't any better. We had our daughter playing softball with RoughRiders and our son playing baseball with them. We ended up removing both of our kids from their RoughRiders teams. I would look elsewhere for a better program. We thought that Rough Riders was the place to help my son excel but I have never felt so let down by a company before. At $3500 a year I expected more than "just reps" and a paid coach that has completely torn my son down to the point that he now refuses to play the game. I expected the "professional trainers" that are advertised all over their website. Their website states that they "Train your players in speed, agility, strength & baseball mechanics," and that they "Focus on throwing, defensive skills & offensive skills." In reality, there has been little to no instruction offered on a regular basis. When my husband talked to the owner about his concerns with the lack of fundamentals, the owner told him that they are basically just there to give reps because that is all the boys can handle. This was 12U where fundamentals should have been a priority. Their website also says that Rough Riders is "A classy and humble organization whose focus centers around shaping, developing and mentoring the character and athletic development of all athletes who play for the RoughRiders®." My son's coach regularly encouraged the boys to attack each other when they made mistakes. This encouraged them all to focus on what their teammates were doing wrong and then subsequently tear each other down for it. The coach also spent a lot of time telling my son how bad he was. These are supposed to be paid "professional" coaches. What we really got was a fresh college grad that had no experience coaching or any experience with kids. We wrote a lengthy email outlining our concerns. It has been a month now and we have yet to receive a reply (I know they got it because I got a confirmation email). They don't reply because they really don't care. They have our money and will move on to scam the next family. Don't let this be you. I expected better from this organization. Rough Riders was very attentive when it was time to take our money, but has since given us the run around and made this seem more and more like a cash grab. Disappointed doesn't even begin to describe it. RoughRiders' website has promised a number of things that RoughRiders has not delivered on. One would call this 'false advertising'. We did not receive a program that "focuses on developing players who will reach their highest potential." We got a very young coach that has no experience with kids. We got a coach that told my son time and time again, that he wasn't good enough. This place is awesome... We have gone here for grandkids basketball both league play and also tournament play... First and foremost is close to home... But there's plenty of parking,, I think our favorite is to sit in the restaurant/bar and overwatch the basketball games while drinking a cocktail and having some good food... I love all of the opportunities for sporting events, the batting cages are amazing, we've seen baseball teams and lacrosse teams and basketball teams and volleyball teams, and of course hockey... They even have bumper cars for ice read more

i was hired as the chef to build a whole new kitchen team from scratch...did that and got let go as soon as they were satisfied. i was there for a total of 5 weeks and won best appetizer for them in the yearly "taste of superior" competition. I concluded that this was a predetermined plan to hire me, build a team, then let me go for bs reasons. the gm couldn't even look at me during the termination. food wise its good for frozen bar food. management and good character wise....lets just say if they care about their employees/ managers this way...their customers deserve better. fyi...across the hwy is another sports facility which might be more accommodating. read more

Still can't figure out to give this 0 stars. Don't get me wrong, the ice and seating in the stable is great. Basketball, pickle ball, etc, all pretty good. But. My. God. Oh. My. Is the restaurant bottom tier. We have been here two days in a row for a hockey tournament and I didn't think service at the bar could get much worse than Saturday. But guess what.... It did. These girls at the bar either hate their life or the manager or something because it's very bad. They don't acknowledge anyone that comes up to the bar and gets annoyed when you order anything other than a can/bottle beer (still annoyed the have to open it) We ordered a burger and they didn't even ask how we wanted it, it came out pink and now we rushed a member to the hospital. So. Thanks eater at the sports stable. You guys more than under delivered on Mother's Day. You're better off putting spaghetti in a plastic bag and eating it at a game. read more

This neighborhood is going to be great once they get all the roads paved and everyone moves into the lofts and what not. The Saturday I went, everywhere was quiet. You could tell construction was taking a day off but much of the community was mostly built. The staff was super friendly and the ice was decent. Would like to come back for stick and puck or something. All I was doing that early morning was conditioning my legs. I was one of 3 people during public session and then the father/son duo left so it was just me. I had the ice to myself for about thirty minutes until a figure skater hopped on. The rink has a luxurious feel to it with leather bound chairs for seating. It seemed as though many of the people checking in for hockey knew each other. I'd give it a go again. Nothing blew my socks off but it was definitely decent for what they offered. read more

The director also runs the adult hockey clinics and they're s giant waste of money and time. if you're looking for hockey, you'll find way better management at one if the other rinks in the greater metro area. read more

Used to like coming to the early morning stick n pucks because they didn't let coaches take 1/3 of ice for 2 people while the other 2/3 is PACKED and nobody's in the skill pad. Seems like either the coach has a big head and refuses to use the skill pad or the scheduling is sub par. Would love to call this place my favorite spot in Colorado again. read more

I really like the ice skating night on Saturday. I took my grand kid there. She had wonderful time there. Affordable, fun, and friendly skating night with music. I saw many kids there having fun as well. read more

Best place to do sports and family fun!

One of the best rinks in the state of Colorado! With the two full sized rinks, games are constantly happening, and the crew is able to keep the ice fresh with zero issues on both sides. The employees are very nice, and the times and prices for drop in and stick n puck are fair. Last but not least, being able to watch the Superior RoughRiders junior hockey of the WSHL is just an extra treat! read more

This is a nice facility for sure, but the entire place smells like VOCs, i.e. volatile organic compounds, aka, chemicals, probably from the flooring offgassing, which is then circulated all over the building. No thanks. That's not healthy. read more

WORST CHILDCARE GIVERS (Impact Sports Camp) My son has been enrolled on and off this summer of 2017. Everything in the program has been good and his reports of the activities have been good too. But his report of one 'counselor' has been of intimidation and ridicule. Moreover: his report of non-stop so-called gangsta-rap music being played throughout the facility has been alarming. F-bombs, N word, Wh*re, and much, much more have been so frequent he has counted the times in a day when an F-bomb was 'sung' from the house PA system. A total of 10 times that he noticed, in one day. I don't want to tell you how to raise your kids but as for mine, I choose the No F-Bomb rule as a general guideline. After my son's own, personal complaint, as well as my own, the facility had promised to take the music to a "better level". By this, it seems they meant volume. My 10-year-old son was asked to listen to the music--after is was turned down--and if he heard something inappropriate he was to complain again. In my opinion, this is akin to handing a kid a porno mag and asking them to point out the dirty pictures. What kind of a knob made this decision? After two phone calls and one face to face, I have had zero results and a lot of lip-service. I am just curious: Who at the sports stable and the Impact Sports camp decided Rated E for Explicit was a great and uplifting choice for 5-10 year-olds? read more
