We have been traveling for years during the winter to The Oasis. It has always been a pleasure, and the staff has consistently demonstrated professionalism. However, we recently learned a valuable lesson regarding their protocol on outside drinks. We coordinated a group to take a day off work and spend the afternoon at their facility. To make it worthwhile, we needed another player and managed to solidify a last-minute invite. The court was rented for 3 hours, and about 1.5 hours in, the extra invite pulled a drink out of his bag right in front of the staff. He was confronted and agreed to leave without any resistance, acknowledging that his actions were uncalled for. To me, it seemed like the situation was resolved as our group began organizing the next match. However, moments later, the staff decided to escalate the issue, stating that since the player who violated the facility rules was on our court, everyone in our group had to leave the premises. The staff member also blamed us for not policing our invitees according to their rules and regulations. No one in our group knew the player had the drink until he pulled it out, yet we were all penalized, and the rental cost for the court was kept. The only reason I am leaving this post is to make others aware of The Oasis's protocol for such situations. If you invite anyone to play on the court you rented, you will be held personally responsible for their actions against The Oasis's rules and regulations. read more

not sure who BUT the 5' 10" (ish average height) lighter brown straight haired bartender w a backward baseball hat threatened to throw us out for not having our ID's ready within 10 seconds. I had to go to the car to get my ID and he threatened to start the sprinklers on me bc i took longer than 10 seconds. i told him three times i needed to get my ID from the car (bc i didnt drive) and needed maybe 1min... he told my friends he would set the fire sprinklers on them if i took "too long":.. i WILL NOT be back to this establishment if this is how i'll be treated. please respond and do better. read more

Seven indoor sand courts and a full bar! The line at the bar can get long (I've never seen more than two bartenders at a time). There is food available as well, but I have yet to try any of it. 4v4 volleyball for all skill levels, and everyone I've met there is really welcoming! I'm new to the area and this is my favorite place so far. There's a shower on site so you can rinse the sand off before you get back in your car. read more

This place is pretty nondescript. I drove right by thinking it was a warehouse, so keep your eye out. I visited sports oasis to check out the drop in volleyball on a Thursday afternoon. The place is crazy. How something thought of buying a warehouse and throwing in tons of sand, I'll never know. There's 7 courts here with great nets and lines and all that. The place is remarkably well heated, to the point where it was almost muggy. Inside it was probably 80, outside it was 30. There's a full bar with loads of tables; I'll assume that on Thursday and Friday late night drop-in the place is packed on the courts and in the bar. There are also chairs at each court WITH cupholders, so you can sit down and enjoy a game closeup. When I visited it wasn't very busy. There were maybe 20 people there in all and most were part of some team doing practice. That being said, I went during the holidays so I'd assume most of the time it's busier. They've got leagues as well, and it seems the leagues range from bums off the street who know nothing of volleyball strategy and just play for fun (like me) to hardcore volleyballer running some sort of 2-2-2 that a friend of mine was blabbering about. Give drop in a go. It's 5 bucks for 2 hours and at the very least you'll get a workout. I don't even like volleyball that much but I had a hell of a time. read more

I thought I should write a review after playing beach volleyball last night while the temperature outside was 2 degrees. How cool is that? (get it? ouch.) There is a giant warehouse in Bloomfield with 7 regulation sand volleyball courts (not to mention a full bar). We're wrapping up our season (check out the website for details) next week and plan on starting another. It's such a great thing to do on a weekday evening. There are different levels of competition- the highest includes some professional AVP players- but there is something for everyone. There are "open" nights late Thursday (after 10pm) and all afternoon and evening on Fridays (3pm-1am) if you want to go check it out. I highly recommend it! (you also feel a lot better about yourself the next morning as opposed to waking up after eating 25 buffalo wings and smoking two of your brothers Parliament Lights after downing a pitcher and a half of Coors Banquet. I've been coming here for years and somehow I think Yelp lost my review from the past. Or, I was too drunk and dreamed I reviewed this place. Nonetheless, there are two places to play indoor sand volleyball in Denver metro: (not Boulder, although I don't think they have a place either) here and the Island in Aurora. The Island has thin sand, high ceiling and decent lighting. The Oaisis has great, deep sand and nets between the courts to avoid "ball on!" chants. I don't like the lighting here as it's inconsistent and the ceiling is pretty low requiring very good ball control. The bar is well stocked and the servers quick and fun. Food has taken a step up, but it's still not as good as the stuff at the Island. Regardless, if you want to get your sand volleyball game on in January and you live up North...this place is recommended by me. (which is all you really need) read more

showed up for best friends birthday, it was a super important event, walked in unknowingly needing ID (for VOLLEYBALL?) I was immediately yelled at to come over and check in by the bartender, who was clearly pissed she was supposed to close in an hour. I was turned away with out any understanding which was very upsetting because i wouldn't make it back in time to tell my best friend happy birthday. If i genuinely couldn't come in to literally see my friend, this was crazy. I wasn't ordering anything or not paying the entry fee. This was very disappointing. read more

Oasis Volleyball is so much fun to hangout at. I am on a league there every Friday. My team can play volleyball in the sand, and we never have to deal with the weather because we play in doors. The staff is so great organizing the leagues. The best part is they have a bar and the bar staff is amazing. You have Ben and Jen, and Lauren. These bar tenders are the best around so good to there customers. If your looking for a fun night playing volleyball and having some cocktails then Oasis is the place to be. read more

This place is so much fun, I wish there was something like it by me! A mix between a bar and sand volleyball, it's a fun time for everyone. My friends are part of a volleyball league here, so we came in to play a few games and have some drinks. I had not played volleyball in ages...so I wasn't that good. But everyone was a good sport and didn't seem to mind. The drinks are really reasonably priced. They have picnic tables by the bar to sit at, as well as wooden beach chairs on the courts for people who are not playing to sit in a watch. They have quite a few courts to play on. There is plenty of sand, and it is nice and warm inside, so you almost feel like you are on the beach. It's nice that you can come here rain or shine to get your volleyball on! read more

Great Atmosphere! I've been going here for some time now, and it has become a regular hang out place for me. And everyone there is great from the Staff and the other regulars. Whether it is to play some sand volleyball year round or going to watch a game and hang out, Sports Oasis is alway a good idea. They do also have the Best Bar Keep in the World! Jeni (Yeni) kills it and will always make sure you are taken care of when it comes to making sure your drink is never empty to being fun and upbeat. As it is with many businesses, they have seen better times. While the front line staff is topnotch, management has made a series of poor decisions that has altered the appearance, vibe, and culture of the facility. From the leaking roof, to falling insulation, to foot fungus on the floor, the facility, following, and business are now in rapid decline. There are other options nearby that I will avail myself of. read more

Oasis volleybal, on top of being a very nice indoor volleyball facility, it also has a very polite and helpful staff. Also, having good food and well made drinks. My only problem is the steep metal steps out front. I've only recently begun to come to Oasis, but I will be returning again, and again. read more

This place rules!! So much fun and good staff, prices and entertainment! The bartender usually remembers my name which is always a refreshing feeling.
