I saw sum revus on this that are not very nice. Have livd on cours for at least to winturs and summurs. Gud lake for swiming and the golfers and rangers are super frendly. They even chekd on my when I got hert. Not a super long cours but greens are prety tricky. Plenty long for me tho. Sometimes kyotes come over so definitly look out for them. read more

Yet another spring, yet another step towards bankruptcy. You have NEVER seen a course in this poor condition. Come see for yourself just how bad a course can get when you don't take care of it. Mow the rough once a month so when you do there is giant clipping piles everywhere, close the range, let the cart barn fall down, close the pro shop and check in at a sleazy bar, let fungus and mold take over the turf, grow grass better in the bunkers than on the greens, let the cart path be only fit for a Hum-v, oh and while you are at in just stop watering. This place is on its way back to being a real golf course. Last year was a disaster for them as they had NO water. They have hired a real groundskeeper and he has brought in a new team. The greens are good except for #8 which is still recovering from a hydraulic leak last year. Tee boxes are so much better. But the big change is the condition of the fairways. They are really good. They even have two cuts of rough. For the price, best course up North. If it's been a while since you have them a shot, try again. read more

Very alarmed to see how far the condition of this course has deteriorated over the last two years. Not sure how much longer this course can continue to stay open considering this was once a very nice course. They are struggling to keep the greens playable and a majority of the tee boxes are dead. Not go mention the fairways are unplayable. There are still a lot of geese on the course too. Broomfield city council needs to step in and evaluate if there are options to renovate this course or turn it into city park, etc. read more

Play here regularly. Staff is friendly. Cart girl is timely and on the spot just when your game needs liquid pick me up. Conditions have been rough the last few years due to weather and the pandemic, but the layout is underrated. Greens can be very tough as well. Decided to try this course despite the bad reviews and see for my self. I noticed on Golfnow there's always tee times so we said why not give it a shot. First off it's off Main st across from Broomfield Highschool in Broomfield tucked away in a Nieghborhood . Which by the way has some really nice houses $. As you pull into the parking we noticed a lot of nice cars. But we also noticed that compared to the Nieghborhood and the looks of the course and cars in lot the the parking lot is in terrible condition. I would have expected it be a lot nicer. The club house and pro shop kinda small for my expectations and for location. We checked in at the bar cause pro shop no one was working. We only really encountered one person in person and she was friendly. For lunch we had a couple of hotdogs which were ok. I got a soda it was 3.50$. Lil pricey compared to other better courses. Golf carts were nice a roomy with plenty of storage. Weird they gas powered. Today the tee boxes were wet and greens were dry and fast. The course it self is very well kept very green and has lots of houses around it. So you need to hit straight. Only a few holes have bad obstacles and mess with your head. Over all we had a good time and played pretty good for my standards. For me I found it a bit pricy considering no beverage cart and only two pathetic porta potties. Very small clubhouse that doesn't offer much considering the Nieghborhood it's in. And a parking lot that's all tore up. Would I play it again probably. The fact it wasn't very busy helps. Incredibly hard to navigate through the lot and all to find this place. The hills where people golf aren't exactly well maintained and has weeds growing out like crazy. But.... my boyfriend absolutely loved this golf course and decided to stay here for hours to play with his father and friends, whom he hasn't seen in a minute. I called their hotline, and this golf course doesn't pick up incoming calls. Be very cautious in the parking lot. There are numerous moving cars, moving carts, moving golfers ready to throw a fit. This is also one of the smallest golf courses I've seen thus far. I'm not an expert on golfing, but it sure was tinier than the one by my house. Greener too. read more

This course has so much potential. The managers apparently do not know that most golfers (actual golfers) won't play a course that doesn't have a range to warm up at. The weirdest part is that they do have a range...... it is just always closed and in total disrepair. It would cost very little to put down new concrete, but new mats, and put some buoy targets out. Even a water range is fine if you can actually use it to warm up. They lose the money from the green fee, cart fee, F&B sales, and range balls just because the management doesn't realize that actual golfers (not hacks) will not play a course without warming up (or at least it will be a large consideration when choosing a course). The rangers here are VERY rude. They are not there to help with pace of play, there to yell at their customers. read more

It's not a higher end course. In fact it needs a lot of work. But it is a fun course to play with challenging greens. It's just too bad they don't have a real grounds keeping crew. They need to re-sod many areas, slit seed most fairways, get some serious Revive and fertilizer down and finally turn the sprinklers on until they drain some lakes. Havent played here in 7ish years but thought they've done a good job with green maintenance. That's the extent of the positive. In multiple locations, its posted that the course plays in 4 hours, in the am (4.5 hours in the pm... hmmm). My tee time - 9:34 AM Staff interactions: Me - Are there junior tees? Staff - yes but they aren't marked on the card. K - this is common. 1st hole - we get all the way to the green and fail to spot junior tee boxes nor markers. On the first green were 2 staff people. I asked them where the junior tees were. They both looked around like they had snuck onto the course. I was playing with 2 juniors - new to golf so they are bad. I was playing poorly because we kept waiting for the group in front of us. 2nd hole - endless wait for the group in front of us...so much so that I called the front desk in search of the ranger, or a green fee refund. When he arrived, we were on the third tee box and the group in front of us was maybe 100 yards ahead of us, but waiting for ghosts to exit the green. The group ahead of them was on hole 4, probably on the green because there was a full hole between. Ranger - Do you have a problem with slow play? Me - Two groups up were off of the green and the group ahead of us was chatting on the tee box, so yes - I do have a problem with slow play. Ranger - Actually, they aren't that slow. Me - An entire hole between is the definition of slow play Ranger - OK - I'll stay on them Me - Thank You He did not. So, a par three allowed us to pass them, as they seemed incapable of playing quicker and had no intention of letting us play through. Beverage cart lady - do you need anything? Me - do you take credit cards? (Cuz I needed booze to get pass the frustration of the first holes) Her - so you're good then...and off she went On multiple occasions, workers drove past people clearly ready to hit. A few workers did have the etiquette to stop, but idiots were the majority; or at least dumb and dumber drove past us so many times, they felt like a majority. Even though I live in Broomfield, I can't imagine ever returning here to play golf. Westminster has better facilities and more informed staff. And guess what?? Even though we skipped a hole, it still took 4.5 hours to complete read more

It was my first time golfing here and we tee'd off over 35 minutes late and there was no explanation. It's pretty early in the season and the course was in fair condition. Greens are crazy hard on this short course and our foursome struggled for sure! It's a deceivingly challenging course but not a very good value considering the nearby courses in the area I ordered a green chile breakfast burrito at the clubhouse though and that was a great way to start the back 9! read more

Played 18 and walked it was $35 on a Saturday (45 for a cart I think). the course was in excellent condition greens were pretty fast. It's a pretty straight forward course but there are a few challenging holes. Some undulation on the greens left for some challenging putts. Overall a decent course. Would play there again. read more

Came here to relax after written on a Friday. Booked my tee time online and still had to wait for 10 minuted while the lady in the restaurant/pro shop got to me. Got a cart as none were available. Do i had to wait for one so i food try to beat the 730 cart curfew. When i got to the course, the starter didn't know whee to put me. Golf is golf, this is a fiasco. read more

This must be family owned and don't know the rules on how to schedule people for tee times. The Marshall also does not do his job. Came here on Father's Day and was so backed up it took us an 1.5 hrs to get to hole 4! We called for a refund because it was just ridiculous to be that backed up & the lady was not accommodating at all. She said it was just because and that there are families that don't know how to play golf out there. Ok, then either get me a refund or have the marshal do his job! This course is amazing and the back 9 has some stunning holes. With very Fun and challenging shots throughout. Eagle Trace has been nothing short of a great time every round. They have had to raise cart fees because of a few holes that were damaged by some hooligans. Regardless it is A truly Respectable Course, for a true Respectable Golfer. Where do I start, the driving range: shitty mats , signs with no yardage. Fairways are most courses rough. Dandelions 3 inches long , dirt and no grass at all in spots. I'm guessing they don't mow often? I wouldn't pay over $20 with cart to play here . 3 groups on tee boxes. Save your money for a good round at a better course! Terrible experience. I golf weekly all over the city and have never come across such rude management. We drove the cart off the path after the ambassador told us it was ok because it was hot and smokey. Next thing we knew the GM comes storming up to us in a cart- almost running into us (cigarette in hand). She literally got out like she was about to fight and told us to leave because we were driving on the grass. I was with 3 friends who are US citizens yet have foreign accents. She was extremely racist with her comments (while sucking down her cigarettes). This was really our first warning. White trash Eagle Tracist. read more

Course is not in very good shape. Couple of really demanding holes, so it doesn't lack for difficulty. If half of the grass on the entire course wasn't dead, I bet it's a pretty nice course. Until I see that though, it's one of the worst courses I've played in the Denver-metro area. read more

I don't know why there are so many bad reviews here. This course is in great shape. The greens just got punched and they used the small hole method. Very playable and very enjoyable. The fairways are in wonderful shape. I would play here any time. $3.50 for a soft drink is a little high but $5 for a 16oz. beer is pretty good. The food is also great. I recommend the wings "Kellee Style". The Hot Pastrami Sandwich is also very good. The weekends can be kind of slow but it's a public course. What do you expect. Normal play on a weekday is very fast. I usually get 18 in within 4 hours. The front is very old and established while the back is a bit newer and a bit more challenging. The back is still established enough to give that feeling that it's been there a while. Look out for hole 18. A beautiful finishing hole! read more

Don't play here if you are under the age of sixty. Rude golf shop attendant just glared and grumbled responses. Course is short and grass is burned down to clay in many spots. Bunkers have about half an inch of sand. Driving range is just sad. On the course, we encountered grouchy, entitled, grumpy old men, who acted like they owned the course. I won't play there again. If you're a golfer stay away. There's so many other options out there. In all fairness, bar and restaurant staff were very accommodating and friendly. read more

Staff is rude. Course always has problems. For the price you would think that it is top notch but no they just want to over charge you. The course does have one or two challenging holes but that's about it. A lot of the time you are just golfing next to a road and the views are not so great. I have had a large group there, to golf, on Super Bowl day, to honor a friend that has passed. You would think they would be happy to have such a large group there in early February but no they acted like we were an inconvenience. I've played Eagle Trace for years and never had a bad experience. Its a course designed for the first timers to the more serious skilled golfers. Each hole has its own unique challenges that can have you chipping on for birdie or dropping for bogey because your ball went for a swim or disappeared in the natural. The greens and fairways are always kept up. Rates fairly priced with most other courses, but keep a watch out for their specials and I guarantee you'll have money leftover to grab some lunch/dinner at the club house after a round of 18. Staff is very helpful and courteous never had any issues nor have I heard any complaints of it being a bad course. All in all I think Eagle Trace is a decent course and I give it 4 out of 5 stars ranking amongst other public courses in the area. Don't forget to hit a few balls before your round out on the driving lake "range". read more

If you want to hit a lot of blind tee shots, Eagle Trace may be just the course you want to golf. I think this course is ok for walking, but if you do you will be pushed by others driving carts. There are also a number of very demanding holes. The greens are generally a little firm and quick but true. The price tag is modest and the course is in the middle of Broomfield and pretty difficult to find. Generally open, you can get away with spraying the ball now and then. Has some trees and water, Eagle Trace is a good mix of mature and new. I found the course crowded each time I have played. read more

I have been playing Eagle Trace for 6 years now and while I would never confuse it with Fossil Trace it hasn't been bad. Granted we have had a dry summer but it is apparent that the owners (who according to a marshal are 'out of state') are more interested in the almighty dollar and don't feel water is a course requirement. From the moment we called to get a tee time, I should have known it was trouble. The woman on the phone so pleasantly informed us that "carts MUST be in by 4:30" and seeing as how we were teeing off at 12:45, I thought; no problem. Even a slow round we should be in and comfy in about 4- 4 1/2 hours. Boy was I wrong. Naively we make the trek over, and as we checked in, the man at the pro shop gladly took our money, then informed us we would playing in a foursome (completely understandable for the day after thanksgiving when it is 70 degrees) but it was a last second interjection that was odd especially since the pairing was with a younger child and his mother who was watching. As if to push the pace of play. I almost thought it would be a jumpstart. With moments to spare, I tried to get some beverages because I knew there wasn't a refreshment cart out. After watching one man walk out, I realized there was only one lady was working the bar.... Cooking. Bar tending. Waiting tables. Everything. One person. So as I burned 10 minutes waiting for 3 beers we hustled out to the 1st tee box. At this moment, I realized the foursome in front still had not teed off. With the Marshall making small talk with the ancient group that struggled to hit out of their own shadow up ahead, you could say I was nervous (and a bit annoyed). Looking back, this was probably the second realization we were in trouble. Now, I understand it's a public course for ALL ages and experiences but pace of play can make or break a late season round. So as we teed off around 1:00, it became apparent that as rude as the lady on the phone was about returning to the club house, carts in at 4:30 was not happening. 15-20 minutes per tee box waiting on the masses ahead. May I remind that I was playing with a 13 year old kid and a novice who knows the rules and can "giddy-up" when she needs to. Normally I wouldn't complain but seriously? Outrageous waits just to watch the silver fox crew ahead of us leisurely tee up another ball after shanking it into the bushes. And, it didn't help that the group behind us full of try hards drove into us multiple times. No Marshall to be found.... So after 9 holes I about gave up but money is money. So we got food, some drinks, even a bathroom break. Cleaned the clubs and STILL waited about 30 minutes to tee off on 10. I still don't know if there is a reason why it was happening or who was playing, but even the pros playing for cash have a time limit looking for lost balls. As the sun set and quickly disappeared on our extravagant 12 holes (in 4 hours) we ran out of daylight. Spending more time on the tee box than actually golfing. It seems as though the sun also set on the worst golfing experience I personally have ever had, taking into account the many weekends and holidays I've been able to walk 18 in less time at courses such as City Park, Park Hill, Heritage Eagle Bend, Flat Irons, and many other high traffic courses. Never will I return, yet gladly will I tell, all my avid golfing friends and communities about how awful an experience this was. read more

This is the worse managed golf course I have ever been at - and I've been at a lot. The pro shop staff are truly rude and the player assistants are incompetent. They discriminate against newer golfers that are playing at pace with those in front of them because they are not their regulars/buddies - even though those newer golfers have been at the course for the last five straight weekends and finished each weekend before the 4 1/4 hour pace. It is hard to play faster if you have to drop you ball on top of those in front of you. The course is worn out and the tees cross each other where players for the next hole up are blocked by those teeing off at the hole before. The greens are chewed up like they have a disease running rampant that is preventing divots from healing. The pro shop is full of dog hair and is barely stocked with supplies. There are only a lackluster set of chipping greens that are so wet from over watering even at 10:30 am that it is nearly impossible to practice without soaked shoes. Lots of better options in the area - we'll be heading there in the future. read more

It started as soon as we checked in. A man that was 70 to 75 years old began an argument with me as soon as I handed him my Groupon coupon. My wife made the tee time in advance and told the scheduler it was a Groupon which the scheduler said was fine. The man started yelling and caused a scene about the pre-paid Groupon. After the first nine holes we started to the back nine and he walked up and started yelling at us about my underage grandson driving the cart. He did drive it once for a short distance and his father and I told him he couldn't do it again and he didn't. When the old man walked up with his hands on his hips yelling directly at my grandson about driving the cart and trying to intimidate a thirteen year old was truly sad. He also yelled that we were slow and holding things up even though there was no one behind us. It ruined my grandson's first golfing experience. We corrected him. The old man driving around "assisting players" came to us on the fairway on the 4th hole and was extremely rude telling us to skip the whole or leave the course all together. We kept pace with the group in front of us, and the group behind us was still on the previous green. I told him this and he told us if we were going to take 7 hours to play we needed to leave because no one else can enjoy the game. We were playing 17 minutes holes up to that point and delayed by the people in front of us walking rather than using a cart. He screamed at us to move or leave. When the manager was made aware of this situation she told us that she was sorry but we needed to keep up with the group ahead of us (which we were doing) and that we were "lucky" we didn't come across the other players assistant because he is even more rude. Absolutely ridiculous to have staff that the manager admits are abrasive and unprofessional. The other employee was kind and told us he was sorry the other employee is always an "ass". In addition to all of this, the manager told us that we shouldn't play weekends because they put too many tee times and have long wait times so make groups skip holes. Worst experience possible and a the free voucher she gave to us as an "apology" will be discarded immediately. Don't pack your days with too many tee times then antagonize and threaten your paying customers and expect decent reviews. read more
