#3 green from #4 tee box, looking west. Epic.

One of the best golf courses in the Denver metro area. Great conditions, not too pricey, good practice facilities (with a rare driving range bunker on the west side), and always fun.

The fairways and greens are in excellent shape for this time of year. I really enjoyed the variety of the different holes and the hazards are well placed. The hilly elevations offer a challenge to even the most seasoned golfer. I especially like the layout of the holes in Scottish link style. I really don't like courses that make me feel like I'm in a shooting gallery and Legacy feels open and provided a nice pace of play. This is the second time I've played Legacy and it was just a good as the first. I love their signature hole at 18. For a city course this one plays like a Pro!

I've played almost every public course in the Denver metro and I'd have to say this is the best one. Plus it cost less than $60.00.

Stoney Creek Golf Course - Hidden Gem With Big Personality…read more There's something about Stoney Creek that feels like stumbling on a secret you don't want to share--but you kinda have to, because it's that good. From the minute you pull in, it feels like you're somewhere far from the everyday. The out-of-town vibe is real--wide skies, the scent of fresh-cut grass, and the occasional sound of birds chirping or cows lowing in the distance. It's part peaceful, part quirky, and completely unforgettable. Whether it's your first time golfing (yes, they rent clubs--and make you feel completely welcome) or you've played so many rounds you've lost count, this course brings something special. The fairways have just enough personality to keep it interesting, but not so tricky that you lose your mind--or your balls. You'll chase pars and birdies, but more than that, you'll find yourself just... happy to be out there. Stoney Creek isn't fancy or fussy--it's fun. And maybe that's what makes it so memorable. It's a place where you don't have to be good to have a good time. It's where the game meets good company and golden hour sunsets. Honestly? We're lucky to have it. And every time I play, I leave thinking the same thing: "How'd we get so lucky?"

Then, in my case, they moved one of the tee times I booked, manually moved it back when I called into the shop, and double charged us for two of our party. I was appalled and could only get rain checks because this is done by a "third party". Really, since when are you not responsible for what happens on your website. I do not plan to return.

The staff are amazing, and go out of their way to ensure that everything is explained and you are set up to have a good time. It was very busy the night we went, but that wasn't an issue since you reserve your space ahead of time. We did both axe throwing and a bay rental for an hour. Renting a golf bay is incredibly cost effective since the cost does not change based on how many people you have (you can have up to 8). And even though I called it a golf bay there are TONS of options to play. The food and drinks (which you can order through a QR code) are also great. We had some wings and they were delicious. TL:DR - an awesome option for a night out with built in activities

My review takes into account the drought conditions we are currently having in Colorado. For the price the overall condition of the course is terrible. The fairways have a lot of dead grass spots and about a third of the greens are in similar condition. The City of Westminster should post the current poor conditions of course so golfers can decide if they want to pay that much for a round of golf given there current poor conditions.

The flags are those windsocks you would see near runways. Very cool. Great layout but most views are of the control tower or an office building. Very walkable with two long transfers (9 to 10 and 12 to 13). Greens are honestly boring. Very flat pushup greens for the most part. Fairways were soaking wet and the greens were firm. Tough combo for scoring that day. Otherwise, the architect did a great job navigating both sides of the major road that splits the course into two. The back 9 shines. 13 is a big, uphill par 5 with a split fairway after the tee shot. That third shot is straight up the hill. Then 14 is a short but tough par 3. Infinity green that was playing downwind with a front pin. Really cool hole. 15 and 16 are cool par 4s that dogleg in opposite ways. With 16, the second shot over water was nerve racking. 17 is a par 3 brute from the tips. 18 is that long par 5 with water all up the right side that plays towards the range and practice greens. Fun track and well worth the greens fee. I'll definitely try and come back and play more putts straight(er).
