This is an average golf course that is mediocre but playable. I mostly come here for the driving range which is on mats most of the time. The driving range is short and you can't hit your driver because it'll go over the fence and there's a sign that says that you are liable. I basically come here because it's the closest driving range to where I live and that's it. Mediocre but functional. read more

Really quality 18 holes! I came here on a weekend afternoon to play 18. The cost of 18, a cart, and range balls came out to around $70. The driving range is in great condition and you can hit off the grass which is ways awesome. The course is very well maintained in all aspects and is very challenging yet forgiving so you wont lose too many balls. Cart staff circulated the holes frequently to ensure we had all the food and bevs we needed and the atmosphere overall was classy! read more

Although I have a few courses in the city I love to play, it's always nice to change it up. In celebration of my grandpa's 85th birthday, a group of us headed up north to Arvada to play the Par 3 course at Indian Tree. Having not been to this course before, I found it to be A-Ok. PRO: Located off Wadsworth and about 66th, the course is large with lush greens, features a clubhouse (which was closed due to COVID), a starter shack with bathrooms and the driving range. CON: Definitely not close to home, but worthy of a drive up north. PRO: The parking lot is HUGE and allows for ample parking. CON: None! PRO: Although short, the Par 3 was the perfect distance for us, as we just were looking for some fun in the sun. CON: It's a first come, first serve course meaning no tee time reservations are taken, which can be a major hassle if coming on a busy day - oh, and there is limited amount of shade. PRO: Masks are required upon check in at the starter house, in all restrooms, and when you can't socially distance from other players, which gave me a sense of relief. (PS. Masks aren't required on the course!) CON: Very few people were wearing masks, including staff, and didn't seem bothered when they encountered others. PRO: Discounted pricing is offered for seniors, junior seniors, military and residents! Par 3 prices are just $12/person! Pull carts (not currently) and single rider golf carts are offered too! CON: Depending on the amount of players, it can add up quickly. Our group of 5 spent just under $100 to walk the Par 3! PRO: Everyone we encountered were friendly! CON: However, the one woman in the starter house on this particular day was NOT in a good mood, or informed of recent policies as she snapped at our group when we inquired about carts for my grandpa on the Par 3. Yikes! Despite the pro's, I'm not sure I'd venture all the way up north to play this course again, but it is a decent spot for a quick round of golf. read more

Enjoy the par 3 course but recently played 9 holes and had a terrible experience. Golfers behind us consistently hit balls into our playing area on several holes and drove their carts across our paths. Won't play regular course again. Marshall was zero help. Not interested in playing with entitled, domineering men seeking replacement for their waning testosterone. read more

This course and facility exceeded my expectations! I played it in early December so didn't face the slow play issues some reviewers claim. My round was less than 4 hours! The layout is very good, with holes 7-14 especially nice, involving ponds, strategic play, and scenic views of the mountains. The people in the pro shop were very nice and the bar/grill is cozy. Older gentleman running the pro shop was unprofessional and incredibly rude - didn't catch his name but judging by the other reviews it must have been Randy. I called ahead to make sure I could bring a rider, and I was told yes for a 10$ fee. I arrive and check in at the pro shop, and the old man behind the counter (who was not checking me in) began verbally berating myself and my spouse for bringing a rider. I explained that I called ahead to confirm and he got incredibly nasty with his tone, going on about how it was a liability for the golf course (not my problem as a customer and also not laid out to me over the phone). I have never been spoken to so disrespectfully at a golf course. A simple no over the phone or kindly asking not to bring riders in the future would have sufficed, instead this man chose to berate two paying customers for following the rules as they were laid out to us when we called to confirm. I will no longer be recommending Indian Tree to any friends in the area and recommend anyone reading this steer clear if they don't want to be berated by a grumpy old man for following the policies of the course. In addition there was no one monitoring pace of play, bunkers were chewed up, and this course is exorbitantly overpriced for the quality of course and the level of service you can expect. I've played many courses in the area and you're better off at just about any of them. read more

Every time I play this course we end up with a 5-6 hour round and this time we were on pace for a 6 and half hour round and had to quit on hole 10 because of how backed up it was. Old man marshal is about as incompetent as they get and can't do his job. Here is some advice pay a little more and go play a nice course. I will never play here again. read more

Wanted to enjoy the par 3 course with a friend. Unfortunately Mitch the Mower followed us to every hole. We couldn't speak to one another unless we were quite close. The mowing noise really ruined my enjoyment of the course. At one point, on the 6th hole I approached Mitch and asked if he could move to different area and maybe work backwards so we could get a break from the mower noise. He smirked... said he was working... said no... and returned his airpod to his ear and revved his mower motor. I suggest you have the mowers work backwards from 9 to 1. That would minimize the time any one group has to be "serenaded" by Mitch and his Mower. read more

Wish I could give this a good rating because it's a beautiful course but the service is absolutely horrible. Randy at the front desk was rude. And it turned out to be SO expensive because instead of $22 for a golf cart (as read on the pricing sign) randy charged us $50 and every player needed their own set of clubs so that's another up charge if you don't own any. read more

Course was great had fun! Although there was an issue with the group in front of us. I lost a ball on the 4th hole after what seemed a great tee shot and the group ahead seemed pretty far away. Dropped another, then the marshal told us to play thru the guys in front of us and to play quickly. The guy I apparently "hit in the back," pulled out the golf ball I thought I lost and said I'm keeping your ball, since you guys hit me in the back and are in a bigger hurry than us. Didn't want any trouble although I did want to ask if he cried to his mom about it. I told him my bad, we were just keeping pace. Assholes like this deserve a nice slap in the face. The guys behind us were on our ass prior to the event. Were were simply keeping pace of play and didn't seem out of the normal at all. So the marshal keenly put them 2 groups behind us. Thank god because I really did want to fight this guy I was so livid. Rant over it just ruined my experience a bit. I've played a lot of golf with a lot of pricks and this by far was the one that burst my bubble. I hope he calls me 303-815-4272 so we can duke it out. $75 for a course in horrible condition and slow pace of play. Also $10 for a tiny range warmup bucket is criminal. Bunch of rude old people on the range making snide comments. 100% the complete opposite experience I expected. They should be charging half the price for current conditions. Actively avoid this course until maybe mid summer. Staff was nice and facilities were well kept on a positive note. Didn't get what I paid for here. What a dump! The pro-shop is incredibly rude. Called about a lost club and the guy working was terrible. Wouldn't even check to see if any clubs were returned. If you hate your job so much just quit. This is my favorite course in the area. The rough is well maintained, so you can bomb it off the tee and recover if you get into trouble. The golf carts are nice and come equipped with club head and ball cleaners. There is elevation change throughout the course, making the holes interesting. The practice area has a chipping green, putting green, and of course the driving range. All are well maintained. The driving range doesn't have much room with social distancing measures in place, so you may have to wait a few minutes during peak hours. Cart service could be better. read more

The course is decent but what I didn't expect is to have angry white men make women move to the side so they can play through ahead of us. This happened twice in the first 9 holes. At one point, we were on the fairway, there was a team up on greens and the guys behind us drove anyway over us and almost hit the guys on the greens. The guys on the greens thought it was us...but no...it was the impatient guys behind us. So if course, we got asked to wait out...while the pretentious white men get to play ahead of us for the second time!!! I've never seen such white male privilege at its best until today. I live nearby and haven't played the course, but I do come often to hit balls and putt and drink during HH. The place seems ok for a muni course. It has a par 3 pitch and putt course, and an 18-hole course. The driving range is on natural grass. $4 wines for HH and $2 draft beers. read more

This course has the worst driving range I've been to in the entire Denver metro area. I've been coming here 2-3 times per week this season since it's close to my house but I think I'm done with this place. The condition of the range is almost comical. No matter what day I show up, I'm hitting off of dirt. To top things off, you're hitting directly into the sun anytime after ~4 PM. This is a hijacked review, because I don't golf, but know no other way to put this review in. As you drive North on Wadsworth in the summer months in the twilight hours, you will see the absolutely best view in the metro area. The sun sets to the NW and creates fantastic lighting conditions on the high peaks as the foothills sink into shadow. The golf course is still lit up in the golden light and it takes my breath away every time. There is just an apartment complex across the street from the golf course, but if there were a restaurant I would eat there ALL the time just for the view. Take a drive up Wadsworth in the evening sometime this summer and you will see what I mean. You will Love It! read more

Muni course, right off a busy road, that looks like nothing special. However, play the course and you'll be impressed. Nice layout. Greens in great shape. Challenging elevation changes. For under $30 bucks it's a very good deal. I have no problem if rangers are telling players to pick up the pace, as complained of in an earlier review. If you're keeping up they won't say a word. These are all the cute little things directed at me when I play golf. I usually shoot in the eighties, sometimes that only takes 6 holes, sometimes 10...but I alway hit 80. Golf is a great way to get out with friends, make fun of each other and realize your expectations will always far exceed your abilities. Indian Tree golf course, although this year is having some fairway issues with the early draught...is just a great track to lose a ball, 4 putt on a par 3, never have enough club to carry the water or simply enjoy the views and laughs with friends. Very friendly staff and Marshal's who understand e all aren't pro's and the fun weekend hackers have, and keep the pace going without being rude. read more

Indian Tree is a great municipal course in Arvada. To play a round for under $30 (without cart) of this caliber is a real value. Getting there is easy - just go to 76th and Wadsworth Blvd. Getting on the course is generally not an issue and it isn't overly crowded, but I would recommend calling to make a reservation. I think residents get a discount. Overall the course is relatively short. But that is somewhat deceiving since this is a par 70 course and the back boasts 3 par 3s and the front only 1 par 5. However the par 5s are long with one of them on the back over 640 yards if playing from the tips. Like all courses (and golf in general), you will score well at Indian Tree if you can putt. I found the greens somewhat choppy on some of the holes and the breaks were often not what you would expect. Hint - the greens on the front break towards Wadsworth. There isn't a lot of trouble and the course will forgive many errant shots, but you can get into trouble because there is a lot of water on this course. The layout is good for walking. . My playing partner and I teed off when it was sunny with little wind and found the course to be pretty straight forward. This is a very scenic golf course Hole 5 is a tricky par four dogleg to the right that is the most demanding on the front nine. The course grows teeth when the wind picks up and we found the back nine more challenging. Hole 12 is 642 yards - better hope the wind isn't in your face when you play that one. On this particular day, hole 18 demoralized me and made me thankful to whoever invented Bloody Mary's because I needed one after I played it in a brisk wind and drizzle to end what was a very enjoyable round. I would say that Indian Tree is the best course for the price in the Denver Metro area. read more

Dig stalkers? Play this course. I brought a few friends out here this morning to kick back and enjoy a nice weekend trip to the links. It was a mistake. On holes 3, 8, 11 and 15 the starter zipped by to tell us to pick up the pace--despite that we scrambled half our holes and were regularly waiting on the foursome in front of us. Just no fun. When he wasn't prodding, he was regularly lurking from afar. I get that his job is to keep the pace moving, but I've never seen anything like this before. Pretty sure they had a tournament later in the morning -- but if you don't want folks playing in front of the tournament, then block off the course. One star for the mountain views. Zero stars for their scheduling and for zippy the red-jacket stalker. read more
