Mary Anne and her husband came right away and we had a new garage door within the week. This happened the summer of 2025. The summer of 2026, we arrived and the garage door trim had buckled so we called Mary Anne and she had one of her guys come out and replace the trim within a couple of days. Crash! That's the sound we heard from inside the house late Monday afternoon. We quickly scrambled…read morearound to find the cause of the issue. My daughter had just come inside after closing the garage door behind her. The spring snapped while the door was closing, slamming the 450-lb wood garage door to the ground. Attempting to raise the door was pointless, so both cars were stuck in the garage. The former owner of our house had used another company for garage repairs, and there was a sticker by the garage opener, so I looked them up on Yelp. 3.2 stars? No, that won't do. I did some quick searches and came across Affordable Door Co. Their 4.9 rating with more than 100 reviews told me what I needed to know, so I called and left a message. Mary Anne texted a short while later, asking for a pic of the inside of the door. She then called and was able to tell me the size of the door, give a base cost for the repair, and let me know about other potential repairs that might be needed once everything was broken down. Ok, fine. Let's talk about how soon someone can come out. We settled on Leo arriving early Tuesday morning, which then would've given enough time for my wife to get her car out of the garage for an important announcement. An hour or so later, around 6:30 on Monday night, my phone rings. It's Leo, wanting to know if it's too late for him to come out and do the repairs now. I was caught a little off guard, but yes, that would actually work well. Leo showed up around 30 mins later. I showed him into the garage, and he gave me a brief overview of what he'd be doing. Less than an hour later, Leo let me know he was done. He walked me through what he did, showed me a few other pieces that needed to be replaced, and also talked to me about following up in a few years for maintenance and to have the metal rollers (which were still usable now) replaced with nylon rollers. Service by both Mary Anne and Leo was top notch....better than top notch, if such a thing exists. I didn't price compare, but I'm guessing what I paid is comparable to what others charge...and even if it's a bit more, you definitely get what you pay for. Affordable is the company I'll go to for all future garage door maintenance and repairs....and their sticker is now near the garage door opener.

There was excellent communication with dispatch and my technician. Daniel came out and assessed the door. He was able to put new rollers in and do a tune-up of the door in 30 minutes. He advised a possible need for a torsion spring depending on use. He answered all of my questions. Based on usage and age of house, I did end up making the decision to get a new one. (There was no pressure at all or upselling.) There was a warranty for both labor and parts, and the cost of repairs was extremely reasonable, considering I was worried I would need a new door, Highly recommend using this business!

Today, I called to get the problem solved, and a bullying woman would not give me any idea about the cost of getting the handles (which I think should have been there in the first place), AND I was going to have to make two separate appointments, one for an estimate and another for the repair. Then we found A-Team when our opener broke, and the person that came out for repair suggested we have them quote the doors. When I got the quote, I was very skeptical. The price for doors of the same visual style was 50% less than the other quotes I had. I then did a side by side comparison of the door quality, and the thickness, backing/build and r value were all better on the A-Team doors. We pulled the trigger and were quoted 6 weeks. 6 weeks later - almost to the day - the doors were delivered to A-Team, and they were ready to install them immediately. They came out that day and installed both doors in a matter of hours. These were not cheap doors - and we were in-part paying for style... faux wood metal doors with window panes and proper insulation ruggedness for 8,200 feet. One of my biggest concerns was whether they would look like wood or would the pattern repeat and be obvious. Not only did they look great to my eye, but I just got the best compliment from my neighbor who asked, are those wood doors? Just what I wanted to hear! A-Team truly are just that.
