Now I have never been to this part of the states. I have never even set foot in the store. But given the pandemic I was looking for a 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle and to my surprise, those are hard to come by. Until I stumbled upon Blue skies. They have a wonderful assortment of puzzles along with other gifts if you wish to purchase some. And they had the puzzle I spent days trying to find. the shipping and handling was wonderful, It got to my house in California super quickly and it even came with a flyer of the town/city where I got it from. I really loved that and I would like to make a visit once the pandemic is over. But to anyone who is in the area, please dont hesitate to stop here, just be sure to wear a mask to keep you and the employees safe. And order online if possible. Last weekend I started my holiday shopping so stopped by Blue Skies to check out any new selection of independent artist jewelry, prints, and cookware. They always have something new. And the coolest thing that's always available - an unknown creation from an independent artist packed in a cigarette box. There's an old timey looking cigarette machine outside the shop that takes tokens to purchase independent artist works, including miniature paintings and jewelry. We have been to this store a couple times now and every time we go they have different stuff on display. They have all sorts of things for the home including: Candles, bags, face masks, home and bath, jewelry, kids' gifts, knickknacks, paper goods, puzzles, socks, stickers and wall art. They have a staff that is top notch! They were more than willing to help with getting into cases to let us look at stuff up close and never make you feel rushed. They hold stuff behind the counter to make it easier to shop. Just an overall great shopping experience every time we come in here. Also, store is laid out nicely, non-cluttered - easy to navigate. Really great place to spend some time doing some home shopping or souvenir shopping ... also, my wife has found several birthday gifts from these guys. We LOVED stopping by on a Sunday morning. This store is taking proper safety precautions and employees were masked. They also had extra masks for anyone stopping in that didn't have one and sanitizer readily available for anyone who stopped by. The store carries so many fun times. Specifically the best greeting cards I've ever seen. If you're looking to spice up your birthday card selection you should totally check this place out. They have some supper funny cards. They also carry numerous Knick knacks and gag gifts as well. I'm visiting family in town and we entered this cute shop and I was delighted with all the cool and cute things they carry. They offered more than just the average souvenirs/gifts to take home. The staff were all wearing masks and were very friendly. I brought a birthday card and a coaster and one of the employees wrapped the coaster for me which was very nice of them!! I also grabbed a cute complementary card that says "Vote" on it. If I ever return to Chattanooga i'll make sure to pass by again. read more

There's always funky, cool stuff at Blue Skies. I've come to count on that. The stock always changes, but that's what makes it so amazing. Every time you walk through the door into the serene store, it's a different experience. The jewelry, the magnets, the cards, the folders...just everything! Such an eclectic, charming selection of local and rare awesomeness that can entertain patrons (including myself) for hours. I especially love their Christmas displays and merchandise. Cute cute little shop! There are a number of gift-y, art-y type boutiques along Frazier Ave (compared to downtown, for example, where there are very few shops) and this is my favorite. You can find gifts for everyone from yourself to your mom to your best girlfriend to those friends who just got a new house . . . A great selection of my favorite kind of magnet, those snarky ones by Ann Taintor with the 50s cartoons. Greeting cards and fun journals. Neat wall pieces like wooden signs with clever sayings. A medium sized selection of silver and other metal jewelry, mostly necklaces. The shop is actually fairly large as it extends pretty deep away from the street. Very nice people work here and it is a great spot to browse even if you're not in buying mode. Definitely worth a stop if you are perusing this part of town. read more

Blue Skies is one of my favorite boutiques, satisfying my cravings for jewelry, decorations and other accessories that make life fun. Blue Skies is best-known for its jewelry, with several cases representing artists from all over the world. One pair of earrings I purchased there, for example, was hand-crafted by a one-armed wire artist in Ireland! I especially appreciate that the fine baubles represent an array of price ranges, allowing anyone to shop for a unique trinket. The art is retro-cool, too. A few years ago, I bought a piece by Ian Nicholas for an extremely affordable price, and now his work has exploded. Luckily, I scored one of his pieces before his prices went up. The merchandise is constantly rotating with other delicious stuff, such as picture frames, purses, night lights, artsy switch plates, witty greeting cards, sushi sets and a bunch more. Blueskies is probably my favorite shopping spot in Chattanooga. It's nestled in a little area where you can park, grab a coffee or lunch and visit shop after shop on foot. They have a cool assortment of handmade jewelry, stationery, gift items, and children's stuff. I picked up a cool book that uses a flashlight to project the illustrations onto the ceiling while reading. My niece is going to love it. I got some fortune sticks for my aunt and some vintage button hair clips for myself. I have never popped in this store that I haven't found something that I want. read more

this is such a cute store in Chattanooga! it has plenty of your cutesy local things that you can buy for souveniors or for friends. it also has quirky gifts like "I kissed a republican gum" (definitely need one of those, HAHA) and a BAJILLION cards for any occasion that you can stop in and pick up. they were all mostly priced around $5 so definitely very affordable! I ended up picking up this cute dish towel that had the state of Tennessee and said " Tennessee home sweet home" or something like that on it. super cute and definitely something I've been looking for as I prepare for my move out of the state of TN. the girls in there are so nice and sweet. they don't overcrowd you or follow you around while you shop. OK, I looooved this store. They have really well-crafted handmade jewelry. This is my first time in Chattanooga, and I wanted to find something original for my mom as a thank you for watching our dogs. She lived in Chattanooga as a child and loved it, so it was important for me to find something special for her. I really appreciated that their jewelry collections show the name of the artist as well as where they are from, so I focused on local artisans. There was plenty to choose from, and they wrapped it up so nicely. If ever I return to Chattanooga (and I hope to) I will make a bee line here. I love this store and have bought many gifts and received beautiful gifts from here as well. It is a favorite of my daughters and a go to for my son when he wants to buy a gift for me or one of his sisters. Beautiful selection of cards and jewelry and unique items. The only thing I dislike about the store is the constant feeling that I'm being followed by an employee. I never feel quite at ease with browsing, as I'm fearful I'm being watched as a shoplifter. If the Tennessee River is Chattanooga's "Amazon" and Coolidge Park is our version of Manhattan's "Central Park" then BLUE SKIES is our "New Orleans". It is enchanting. I really should make more purchases at BLUE SKIES when I visit there, but I take too long trying to decide. There are artistic pieces, jewelry, handbags, stationery and "nick nacks" galore. Once I select an item that I know would be "perfect" for someone I notice something else down the aisle. By the time I adore my new object of affection I forget what I was going to buy previously. I do not have A.D.D. I just am mad about BLUE SKIES. There are plenty of things to humor, inspire and titillate you. Most of the inventory has been hand crafted by local artisans. My only criticism of BLUE SKIES is that it is too small. It's time for an expansion. You easily find BLUE SKIES on the north shore of Chattanooga. It is the one with the most creative window display. We are from out of town and absolutely loved this store. Very unique items you don't find in every store. We spent probably 45 minutes in this store browsing. I would highly recommend! It's worth the short drive over the bridge if you are staying near the aquarium ....or better yet, just walk over on the walnut street pedestrian bridge and you are there! read more
