I am so impressed with this florist. Being from out of town, you never know, but I was able to see what I sent. My sister was terminally ill and I wanted something she would enjoy. I spoke with the sweet and caring Sandy. She not only made an arrangement for her to enjoy but everyone commented on how beautiful they were. They were absolutely exquisite. They were not stiff looking. The flowers had a variety of airy flowers with vibrant colors and a natural flow. I ordered online last night from Virginia for delivery today after the birth of our granddaughter. The arrangement, teddy bear, and chocolates delivered quickly today to the hospital. I do not have pictures to post since our son is not one to do that without me asking...and I did not want to ask when they were celebrating their baby girl. I needed to send flowers in Chattanooga but I live out of state. I decided to go with a local florist instead of a national chain and I am so happy I did. I spoke with Randy and he made sure he knew what I wanted and the price point. On the day of delivery, he called to tell me there was a problem with some of the buds. He wanted to do a substitution but wouldn't do it unless I approved. I am so glad he called. We decided on a different flower and he proceeded with the order. I had asked if he would send a photo of the arrangement when he was done. He sent one within the hour. It was beautiful. I am so glad I chose to use them. I can't recommend them enough. read more

We have used Bates Florist since they were in their first location. I ordered flowers for my Mothers 85 birthday for my cousins who live out of state. I received an email saying that they could not deliver because we are out of their area (we are 20 miles from the Florist) and they had cancelled my order all after taking the money out of my account. The lady who answered the phone said she did not realize she could call me even though all my information was on the order. She told me that I should probably use a florist closer to me. To say I am bitterly disappointed in the ONLY florist we have ever used is an understatement. But she suggested I find a new florist so that is what I will do. read more

We have been using Bates as our intown florist for many years and the quality has always been outstanding. This "dusty little place" as a previous reviewer called it, always has fresh, gorgeous and unusual flowers on hand, as well as local artwork and the best customer service you could ask for. (Thank you Randy!) Four weeks ago I had surgery and my husband called to order a same day delivery after 12pm, and they had no issues and by 2pm a gorgeous arrangement was at the door! Their flower arrangements always last at least 7 days and smell wonderful. Called today, to have a same day delivery sent to my mother in law for her birthday and she already called me to thank me for the beautiful flowers. I will post pictures of both arrangement below. I Live in California and my daughter and her husband and my first Grandson live in Chattanooga, TN. I had no idea which florist was good and so I did a yelp for florists. But i picked the first one and called them. They were very nice and their pictures of their work was beautiful. But they couldn't delivery til the next day. BUT they recommended BATES-RAINTREE .
