I called Grafe Studios to order a premium arrangement following the birth of our fourth grandchild and spoke to a very polite female. I chose one of their website offerings because it wasn't a generic arrangement and we discussed this at length. Needless to say I was not happy with what was created when my son sent me a picture, thanking me. I contacted Grafe Studios via their website as it was now after hours. And I also left a negative review, as I hoped that would make someone take notice. Todd Grafe contacted me today, was very dismissive and rude, asking me what would make me happy so he could move on. I asked for an arrangement like what was expected be delivered as a replacement. He tried his best to talk over me, mansplaining at it's best, and attempted to make me feel inferior since my children politely accepted the flowers delivered. Like all of this was is the recipient's fault? When my husband, who was watching my end of the conversation, inquired, I referred to Mr Grafe as an "asshole", because in my opinion he was being a real jerk. I really couldn't believe a business owner would act like that. I was an inconvenience to him. Needless to say, Todd heard my characterization of his behavior and was not pleased. I don't feel obliged to erase what transpired. I won't participate in his QUID PRO QUO game. My advice, choose wisely. read more

Received dead and dying flowers. Called ahead bc I needed flowers for a funeral not Valentine's. The arrangement was embarrassing. The food city presented a better presentation than that crap!!! It went into the trash. Absolutely humiliating. read more

These guys are fantastic--this is the very definition of a small business, with deep ties in the St Elmo community, plus the work they do is gorgeous. Flowers from this shop look better than any other shop I've tried in Chattanooga. Even better--the shop has a beautiful, very friendly chocolate Labrador retriever, who'll want to be petted while you wait for your flowers. Do note--this shop seems to have a bit of a love-hate relationship with its website. The website is one of those templates which all flower shops seem to get from flowers.com or something, and Grafe isn't very committed to keeping it updated. One time I came to pick up an order when the shop was closed, because the hours on the website are apparently more of a suggestion than actual hours. However, just calling them on the phone will solve this problem. Personally I think the low-tech nature of how Grafe does business is part of the charm. And again--they make the most beautiful bouquets in Chattanooga. You can't go wrong with that. read more

I had a wonderful experience calling Grafe and requesting a card, box of petals and honeymoon bouquet. I did everything over the phone and the staff there was very understanding and willing to listen to exactly what I wanted. As requested, the young woman I spoke with sent me a photo of the bouquet before she dropped it off at The Westin for my friend's hotel reservation. I also received a receipt via email promptly!!! As an avid Yelp user that really picks a company from reviews I felt I must give praise to Grafe Studio. I was able to order online with the greatest of ease and truly happy to say the online pictures were exactly what was delivered and were stunning which is always a worry of mine when ordering from a distance. They were greatly appreciated by my extended family in TN and a source of comfort on a truly sad day. I found the ease of the website great for grieving family's and friends, it actually had a drop down menu for the funeral homes so that asking for address from the family wasn't necessary. My situation was different as I needed flowers sent to the home and was amazed that they had same day delivery. My husband surprised me with flowers from Grafe Studio on our anniversary. The flowers were delivered to my job. The lilies looked like they were old and had brown spots on them. I called the florist and they came to see the flowers. They said that lilies came that way. That when you ordered lilies you had to expect them to have some brown marks. If I am paying $93 for lilies I don't expect them to look like they have been pulled from the dump and stuck in a vase. They took the flowers and brought back the same vase only with white lilies (which were a little better...not much) and left the other flowers that also looked wilted in the vase with them. I would not recommend this florist to anyone and will never use them again. read more
