I really enjoyed shopping at this store. About 90% of the store is from Japan is what the sales associate told us when we walked in. If you love stationery like I do, you will love this store. Besides stationery, this store has Miffy and Hello Kitty products, tea kettles and teacups, sake cups, chopsticks, ceramics and so much more! The sales associate Emilia was very helpful, knowledgeable and patient with us. She took her time and showed us the fountain pens and tested some out. My friend and I fell in love with the broad nib and Emilia shared what she had in stock. I picked the TWSBI Eco in rose gold nib and picked the Kobe Ink Shinkaichi Gold and my friend picked the TWSBI Eco in purple. They have a great selection of Travelers notebooks and had an olive color which I don't have so of course I got one. Emilia shared the travelers notebooks that just came in from Japan and my friend and I felt like we were kids in a candy store. We were in stationery heaven! We bought so much and there were items I have seen online that I was in the market for so of course I had to have it. Emilia also recommended highlighters and shared the blackwing colored pencils and sharpener with me. I really enjoyed the pen and pencils and trying them out. I tried out every pen they had and the blackwing pencil. If you have never used a blackwing pencil, you are missing out. It is one of the smoothest pencils I have ever written with. I prefer shopping in independent stores over the big box stores anyday. My friend and I were there for two hours and we even went back the next day since I forgot some items. Emilia was there again and helped me with the scissors and even measured it for me since I was flying home. If you are ever in the Chattanooga area, this store is a must visit! read more

Such a lovely and unique Japanese boutique! This sweet shop is full of Japanese linens, pottery, ceramics, stationery, plushes, handmade jewelry, glass blown figurines, kawaii gifts, candies, and so much more! We were able to find free two hour parking in Renaissance Park and took a short walk over to the store. They were even kind enough to allow our small dog to come inside and shop with us, which was especially appreciated since it had begun to rain outside. The staff were all friendly, helpful, and genuine in their passion for the items they had for sale in store. Some of the highlights for us of the many lovely and quality made items offered for sale were their stationery, beautiful artisan figurines, and the infamous Japanese KITKATS! They carry the most of the unique flavors we've seen to date. They also offer a small bag of various KitKat flavors to try if you didn't want to commit to a whole bag of one particular flavor. I adore this place! Such a cute little store. Even after visiting Japan before, I cannot get over the sheer amount of cute little trinkets. The items here are authentic from what I could tell. i.e. Japanese packaging and language. The gal working was super friendly and helpful. She said the owner goes to Japan 2 to 3 times a year. This store has various things: dinnerware, stationary, plushies, handkerchiefs, trinkets and so much more. The items ranged from pretty cheap (stickers + magnets), affordable (plushies + figurines), to reasonable (totes/bags + handmade jewelry). There is a price point for everyone and something that would appeal to various age ranges. There's a parking lot that limits you to 2 hours of parking at such and such shopping center (can't recall the name now). I kind of figure I Go Tokyo would be included since the store flows immediately to this lot. read more

From someone who has lived in Japan before and knows what authentic Japanese gifts/items look like, this store is definitely it! They have a wide variety of gifts and I love it here. I will say that some things can be a little bit pricey, but it is completely understandable, as everything in the store is from Japan. Wow! 500 stars!!!! There is nothing like this store in all of Atlanta or the state of GA. Make this a destination stop. This store was chock full of quality Japanese goods and the cutest kawaii trinkets, toys, and goodies including bento supplies. Stopped by this store on my drive back to ATL and it is such an unexpected find in Chattanooga. As I entered, I was greeted by staff who explained to me that the owner brings goods directly from Japan. There was such an amazing variety of things with so many different characters. Love stopping by and treating myself to an item or two whenever in the Northshore area. They have the cutest plushies and most beautiful handmade wares. Stopped in this time for another bell and a Totoro plushie. *They currently require you to wear a mask to shop with them. This is a very cute store with imported products from Japan. There isn't much food beyond Kit Kats and Ramune. Most is home goods or stationary. There are gashapon machines here too which is a really nice touch. Check this place out! read more

I Go Tokyo is a great little boutique on Manufacturers Road. I discovered it when looking up directions to Edley's while a friend from Japan was visiting. It was actually a pretty fun experience going through the shop with him as he pointed out things he recognized from his childhood. They have quite a bit of higher-end imports like ceramics and fabrics but the majority of the shop are nice little trinkets, toys, and office supplies. If you grew up on the East or West coast, I'd compare it to a Morning Glory or something, although the store has a much more sophisticated feel. It may be common in other states but it's definitely refreshing to see a shop like this in Chattanooga. To me, the most interesting thing was the gashapon machines in the store as it's been a while since I've seen one in person and I definitely didn't expect to ever see one in Chattanooga. Overall, it's a nice shop with some interesting things. I assume it's a pretty new experience for most so why not check it out next time you're in the area? read more

I Go Tokyo is an adorable boutique that offers a small taste of Japan. I love coming here and seeing all the different variety of items that are available. This place has everything from Japanese cook books to handcrafted tea sets. The owner is extremely friendly, even allowing my friend's Shiba Inu pup to come in and roam around (not sure if pets are allowed). Apparently the owner travels to Japan at least twice a year to collect merchandise to bring back and sell, which I think is a fantastic idea. I also appreciate that I Go Tokyo creates events that allows the community to partake in traditional Japanese art. This place is culturally different, and I love it! read more
