I adore this place! Such a cute little store. Even after visiting Japan before, I cannot get over the sheer amount of cute little trinkets. The items here are authentic from what I could tell. i.e. Japanese packaging and language. The gal working was super friendly and helpful. She said the owner goes to Japan 2 to 3 times a year. This store has various things: dinnerware, stationary, plushies, handkerchiefs, trinkets and so much more. The items ranged from pretty cheap (stickers + magnets), affordable (plushies + figurines), to reasonable (totes/bags + handmade jewelry). There is a price point for everyone and something that would appeal to various age ranges. There's a parking lot that limits you to 2 hours of parking at such and such shopping center (can't recall the name now). I kind of figure I Go Tokyo would be included since the store flows immediately to this lot.

From someone who has lived in Japan before and knows what authentic Japanese gifts/items look like, this store is definitely it! They have a wide variety of gifts and I love it here. I will say that some things can be a little bit pricey, but it is completely understandable, as everything in the store is from Japan. Highly recommend stopping by here when you're in Chattanooga!

Wow! 500 stars!!!! There is nothing like this store in all of Atlanta or the state of GA. Make this a destination stop. This store was chock full of quality Japanese goods and the cutest kawaii trinkets, toys, and goodies including bento supplies. My 8 yr old is a huge Spirited Away fan and she loves all things Japanese and kawaii. She was thrilled!!! Such sweet folks work there too. We LOVE it!!!!

Love stopping by and treating myself to an item or two whenever in the Northshore area. They have the cutest plushies and most beautiful handmade wares. Stopped in this time for another bell and a Totoro plushie. *They currently require you to wear a mask to shop with them. This is the only thing I didn't care for plus the whispering about me when I commented that I didn't understand why this was being done but was fine with it to quickly get my items.*

This is a very cute store with imported products from Japan. There isn't much food beyond Kit Kats and Ramune. Most is home goods or stationary. There are gashapon machines here too which is a really nice touch. Check this place out!

I Go Tokyo is a great little boutique on Manufacturers Road. I discovered it when looking up directions to Edley's while a friend from Japan was visiting. It was actually a pretty fun experience going through the shop with him as he pointed out things he recognized from his childhood. They have quite a bit of higher-end imports like ceramics and fabrics but the majority of the shop are nice little trinkets, toys, and office supplies. If you grew up on the East or West coast, I'd compare it to a Morning Glory or something, although the store has a much more sophisticated feel. It may be common in other states but it's definitely refreshing to see a shop like this in Chattanooga. To me, the most interesting thing was the gashapon machines in the store as it's been a while since I've seen one in person and I definitely didn't expect to ever see one in Chattanooga. Overall, it's a nice shop with some interesting things. I assume it's a pretty new experience for most so why not check it out next time you're in the area?

I love visiting this store at least once a month. There's always something new, the owner is super nice, and it's one of those places that I definitely originally come to just window shop but I always end up buying something! Follow their Instagram for the occasional unboxing videos!

Absolutely beautiful and immersive! This little stop is actually sizable. The person in charge was informative and welcoming. There are so many small cute things and large works of art. They have traveled to Japanese land and brought it to Chattanooga Tennessee. They have colorful totes and awesome stationary. They have real Japanese toy vending machines. I also noticed they have some clothing and baskets. So many keepsakes and well organized.

Lovely store! Right…read moreat the corner of Central and Main, Mostly French is a tiny little corner of France brought to TN. Think "mostly" French with touches of other countries' antiques, of various kinds. An interesting mix of (mostly) French "things" - from gifty cookbooks (with, ahem, a focus a la francais) and vintage postcards, placards and prints, to quite lovely (and sophisticated and genuine) items for the home (or to give as gifts): Waterford decanter and rocks sets, period pieces with details such as date and origin clearly provided (armchairs, end tables, curios and such) to . . . Nice (and talky) owners. They often visit places such as Scott Antique Market in Atlanta (if you're an antique shopper, you know and love Scott's) and have periodic forays abroad. They also have a fantastic smelling variety of small gift items like candles, and chinoiserie you won't find elsewhere in Chattanooga. If you're a fan of browsing or buying this type of thing, stop by - open every day except Sunday (oh, and right next to the Griffin Footlong Hotdog store that is supposed to be old school and worth a visit, too).

I especially loved the multiple copies of Clementine in the Kitchen, an obscure memoir from 1943 about the lovable French cook employed by the author's family when he was a child -- Of course, I totally bought one and look forward to reading it! Shop here after having hotdogs at Griffin's next door.
