I adore this place! Such a cute little store. Even after visiting Japan before, I cannot get over the sheer amount of cute little trinkets. The items here are authentic from what I could tell. i.e. Japanese packaging and language. The gal working was super friendly and helpful. She said the owner goes to Japan 2 to 3 times a year. This store has various things: dinnerware, stationary, plushies, handkerchiefs, trinkets and so much more. The items ranged from pretty cheap (stickers + magnets), affordable (plushies + figurines), to reasonable (totes/bags + handmade jewelry). There is a price point for everyone and something that would appeal to various age ranges. There's a parking lot that limits you to 2 hours of parking at such and such shopping center (can't recall the name now). I kind of figure I Go Tokyo would be included since the store flows immediately to this lot.

From someone who has lived in Japan before and knows what authentic Japanese gifts/items look like, this store is definitely it! They have a wide variety of gifts and I love it here. I will say that some things can be a little bit pricey, but it is completely understandable, as everything in the store is from Japan. Highly recommend stopping by here when you're in Chattanooga!

Wow! 500 stars!!!! There is nothing like this store in all of Atlanta or the state of GA. Make this a destination stop. This store was chock full of quality Japanese goods and the cutest kawaii trinkets, toys, and goodies including bento supplies. My 8 yr old is a huge Spirited Away fan and she loves all things Japanese and kawaii. She was thrilled!!! Such sweet folks work there too. We LOVE it!!!!

Love stopping by and treating myself to an item or two whenever in the Northshore area. They have the cutest plushies and most beautiful handmade wares. Stopped in this time for another bell and a Totoro plushie. *They currently require you to wear a mask to shop with them. This is the only thing I didn't care for plus the whispering about me when I commented that I didn't understand why this was being done but was fine with it to quickly get my items.*

This is a very cute store with imported products from Japan. There isn't much food beyond Kit Kats and Ramune. Most is home goods or stationary. There are gashapon machines here too which is a really nice touch. Check this place out!

I Go Tokyo is a great little boutique on Manufacturers Road. I discovered it when looking up directions to Edley's while a friend from Japan was visiting. It was actually a pretty fun experience going through the shop with him as he pointed out things he recognized from his childhood. They have quite a bit of higher-end imports like ceramics and fabrics but the majority of the shop are nice little trinkets, toys, and office supplies. If you grew up on the East or West coast, I'd compare it to a Morning Glory or something, although the store has a much more sophisticated feel. It may be common in other states but it's definitely refreshing to see a shop like this in Chattanooga. To me, the most interesting thing was the gashapon machines in the store as it's been a while since I've seen one in person and I definitely didn't expect to ever see one in Chattanooga. Overall, it's a nice shop with some interesting things. I assume it's a pretty new experience for most so why not check it out next time you're in the area?

I love visiting this store at least once a month. There's always something new, the owner is super nice, and it's one of those places that I definitely originally come to just window shop but I always end up buying something! Follow their Instagram for the occasional unboxing videos!

Absolutely beautiful and immersive! This little stop is actually sizable. The person in charge was informative and welcoming. There are so many small cute things and large works of art. They have traveled to Japanese land and brought it to Chattanooga Tennessee. They have colorful totes and awesome stationary. They have real Japanese toy vending machines. I also noticed they have some clothing and baskets. So many keepsakes and well organized.

Honestly, any business that welcomes our dog, I will almost every time purchase something-it means that much to me! The store holds a variety of items. It is a souvenir shop but this is probably one of the most unique souvenir shops I have ever visited. I like to purchase items when I travel that are locally made and this store had some items like that. Hubs and I took turns browsing the store and speaking with the owners, which made our experience more personable. I wanted to find something like an old souvenir Chattanooga vintage train but they did not have what I was picturing in my mind. Instead, the owners showed us trains they had in the window and offered to sell us the whole set but I could not afford it. Instead, we bargained for me to purchase a couple of pieces of the set. I thought it was very special of them to do that. We purchased some other souvenirs but none of them were sentimental like the train set pieces. I will definitely shop here again when we visit Chattanooga!

This visit, I discovered that they carried Divine Purity Incense and ventured to try Cocoa Amber. The Divine Purity brand lip balm has always been a favorite of mine so I knew the scent of the incense would most likely be top quality as well. The scent of the incense was perfect from start to finish. I liked the incense so much that I went back and bought several more scents to try. They are knowledgeable about every item stocked in the shop and always glad to answer any questions you may have. Value: Prices a relative to most shops selling locally made goods. Though value is similar to other shops...I'm not sure you can beat the experience or people. Tip: To smell the scent of the incense so you find the perfect scents for you, simply tip the closed container upside down and sniff the bottom of the container where excess oils have gathered.

I placed the order online and within a few minutes I received a call from Sophie's that they had received my order. They let me know that they had sold out of something in the gift I ordered and asked if I would like to swap it for something else, which was fine with me. I really appreciated the transparency and the super quick call. Barely an hour later, I got a text from my brother that the flowers and candle box had already arrived. Down along the riverfront sits MoonPie General Store, tucked into an old riverboat permanently docked by the park. It actually took me a minute to realize the store was on the boat. From the outside you're just enjoying a beautiful stroll along the Tennessee River, great views, people walking dogs, the whole scenic downtown vibe... and then suddenly you realize you can board a boat that sells snacks and souvenirs. That's a pretty solid plot twist for a casual afternoon walk. Step inside and the place is packed with just about everything you can imagine. T-shirts, hats, magnets, Chattanooga souvenirs, gifts, candy, and of course the star of the show... MoonPies. And not just the standard ones you find at a gas station. They've got flavors you won't see anywhere else outside of MoonPie headquarters territory. Shelves of them. Stacks of them. Enough varieties that you start convincing yourself this is clearly a "research project" and you should probably try several. "You walk in for one MoonPie and five minutes later you're conducting a full-scale snack expedition." The staff were friendly, the atmosphere is quirky in the best possible way, and the whole experience just feels... fun. It's the kind of stop that makes a riverfront walk a little more memorable. Now for the small reality check. The prices. Let's just say the souvenir math starts getting interesting real fast. A few items had me doing that slow head tilt you do when you're trying to remember if inflation suddenly doubled while you were walking down the river. But here's the micro twist. I still walked out with a bag full of MoonPies. Because when you're standing on a riverboat in downtown Chattanooga buying rare MoonPie flavors, logic takes a short coffee break. Bottom line, MoonPie General Store is a quirky, fun stop along the riverfront with a great selection and a cool setting you won't find anywhere else. Just come prepared to spend like you're at Disney World... and leave with more MoonPies than you originally planned.

Everything felt personal and genuine, which made the experience even better. I loved browsing the gift items. From classic snacks and locally made goodies to quirky Nashville keepsakes, there's something for everyone. And of course, the MoonPies were absolutely delicious, soft, sweet, and perfectly fresh. I even grabbed a few to take home, and they didn't last long! If you're in downtown Nashville, this is a must-stop spot, whether you're craving something sweet, shopping for souvenirs, or just want a fun, nostalgic experience. There were a lot of options as far as flavors, sizes, toppings, etc. I stuck with a 12 oz white hot chocolate with whipped cream. Now the white hot chocolate was fantastic. It was real white chocolate and it was a nice bit of sweetness. But the cheesecake was unfortunately disappointing. I don't know if it was over baked or over beaten or what but it had a rubbery jello like texture that's not appealing in the mouth when expecting something different. I could only have two bites before giving up on the $9 slice. I'm torn on this review. And this is because I was so excited and hopeful to try the cute hot chocolate place with desserts that I wanted to love it. But was so disappointed with my dessert. The hot chocolate was fantastic and that being their key thing is what I would try again. But I'd probably never reorder a baked dessert from them as they are not necessarily cheap and I wouldn't want to be disappointed when there are other treat options around the area. The space itself is mountainy fun candy cottage vibe. Serves the purpose of having somewhere to enjoy the treats you've ordered inside.
