A little bit of everything from every day candies to homemade fudge to moccasins, shirts, knives and of course, handmade quilts is what you will find when you stop by this little place! Located up the mountain, a few curves north of Ruby Falls sits this little cabin that is absolutely jam packed with goodies! Parking is a premium, as there are only about 8 - 10 spots in front and on the side, but I will say that each time I have visited, I have been solid on parking. It's a family owned shop and you feel that when you walk in. It feels like you have walked into someone's house that they have lived in for 60 years and all you can see is old artwork and knick knacks from wall to wall. The woman running the register on our latest visit was beyond sweet and helpful. She was welcoming as soon as we hit the door, again it was like we just walked into her house. I will say that if you are looking for Chattanooga souvenirs, this is not your spot. They did have Chattanooga shirts, but outside of that the inventory was really just an eclectic mix of southern artwork, decorations, shoes and quilts with some locally made jam/jellies and honey mixed in. We ended up finding shirts for everyone. They had a good variety of shirt options and the prices were not bad, $14.99 for S - XL and $18.99 for 2XL+. Keep in mind that his place actually looks a little bigger from the outside, as when you walk in you walk in to a sea of goods with very little wiggle room. So, if you see the parking lot is packed, you may want to let a few folks exit before going in! Overall, this is a cute little spot that you can find cruising up the mountain. Mountain Memories is always on the list of places to stop each time I visit Chattanooga!

I went this morning. I meet an amazing lady the granddaughter of Leo that found Ruby Falls. She has a charming vintage style store, just what I've been looking for. The store also has museum displays and she has so much knowledge about the area. I meant to get a price on this amazing quilt but forgot to ask I needed to know the bed size. Sure wish I hadn't forgotten about the quilt. But I got lost everywhere I looked I found something else. I kept getting stuff put on her counter to buy. This store is just that cute. And to my surprise!! She gave me an amazing deal on my massive pile of new treasures. She is also pet friendly! And that was a major blessing and we were so appreciated our time there with her. If you are a Coke collector it's a must have to stop. I have been looking for quality nice adult and elegant small earrings for over 6 months. And I found 3 amazing pairs. And an unbeatable low price. One is the cutest ruby studs to remember Ruby Falls. Found the only tee shirt that has all the sites on it. And under $19.00 And nice quality. This definitely a must stop at place. As far as the person on here claims no Chattanooga things. She has cute salt & pepper, coffee mugs, magnets, tees long sleeve and all kinda and others things that say Chattanooga on them. And Ruby , Rock City, Tennessee in general. Lots of things. And cheaper than I saw anywhere and quality did look very nice. Fudge is her grandma's recipe. And words can't describe how good it really is. Try the chocolate & peanut butter.

We enjoy riding the Incline Railway from time to time, especially when we have visitors in town. This week my mom-in-law is here, so away we went to show her the city and all the cool things. Ever time we ride that train, I always see the shop, Mountain Memories, during the ride and today we finally stopped by. So happy we did! What a find! And I'll always stop by when we are in the area, guests or no guests! Mountain Memories is just the cutest shop featuring some of the regular tourist type souviniers, and also handmade beautiful quilts, and also authentic mountain items and Native American relics! You can also see historical photos and artifacts. It's owned by the nicest sisters and the shop has been in their family forever! They had stories and antidotes to share about everything! So friendly and funny! By the time I left, I felt like we were friends! The sisters are also related to Leo Lambert, the guy who found Ruby Falls and their Grandma Ruby, hello! is who the falls are named after!! This store is a must see and stop by often because the more you look, the more historical treasures (or kitch souvenir) you'll find and stories you'll hear! A true Chattanooga gem!

Honestly, any business that welcomes our dog, I will almost every time purchase something-it means that much to me! The store holds a variety of items. It is a souvenir shop but this is probably one of the most unique souvenir shops I have ever visited. I like to purchase items when I travel that are locally made and this store had some items like that. Hubs and I took turns browsing the store and speaking with the owners, which made our experience more personable. I wanted to find something like an old souvenir Chattanooga vintage train but they did not have what I was picturing in my mind. Instead, the owners showed us trains they had in the window and offered to sell us the whole set but I could not afford it. Instead, we bargained for me to purchase a couple of pieces of the set. I thought it was very special of them to do that. We purchased some other souvenirs but none of them were sentimental like the train set pieces. I will definitely shop here again when we visit Chattanooga!

This visit, I discovered that they carried Divine Purity Incense and ventured to try Cocoa Amber. The Divine Purity brand lip balm has always been a favorite of mine so I knew the scent of the incense would most likely be top quality as well. The scent of the incense was perfect from start to finish. I liked the incense so much that I went back and bought several more scents to try. Can't wait to visit again and see what new items have arrived. Service: The staff are always upbeat and pleasant. They are knowledgeable about every item stocked in the shop and always glad to answer any questions you may have. Value: Prices a relative to most shops selling locally made goods. Though value is similar to other shops...I'm not sure you can beat the experience or people. Tip: To smell the scent of the incense so you find the perfect scents for you, simply tip the closed container upside down and sniff the bottom of the container where excess oils have gathered.
