I was referred to this Salon by a friend who got herself an amazing hair cut. I have been here twice and only had good experiences. Lily who did my haircut both the times is amazing. After coming in here, I will never allow anyone else touch my hair. But the rest of the staff also seem very experienced. Lily has a great attitude and is very friendly. Makes you feel relaxed when you are there. She takes time to discuss the style or length I want and gives me honest suggestions. I love the mini massages she gives during the hair wash. She gives attention to detail even if its a simple trim. The salon itself is very neat and spacious. It is by appointment only and they do get booked well in advance especially on weekends. Kat Von D. was once my idol for her tattoos and especially long black hair (shhh she still is.). I looked up to her so much that I grew my hair out til my butt and refused to color my hair except black. Fast-forward years later, I tried blonde, brunette, and burgundy hair. Just yesterday, I joined team strawberry-ombre hair. You see, I'm all in to trying new things but this was definitely out of my box. This whole hair thing was a last minute choice and I'm talking life or death here (just kidding.) I just wanted to try something completely different to my hair. I truly thank the Hair Gods for blessing me with fast growing hair lol. Like I said, this whole thing was last minute. I texted Lily if I could come in for an ombre and she said ooooook! She's seen me in all hair seasons: blonde, brunette, and burgundy. When I showed her many of my Pinterest inspired hair color, she immediately got excited and went for it. She did warn me that the color might not come out the way I'd like it to be (I think this is a hair dresser liability thing,) but like Nike states, "Just Do It," and that she did. About 30 minutes into the bleach and foil wrapping madness, my mind flourished into regrets and thoughts that I'm really f*cking insane doing this. But it was too late, I literally laid my cards out and went all for it. She kept me very entertained as we were talking about random things. As soon as she finished foil wrapping my hair, she put me under a hair blower thing and I sat there letting my hair cook for another 15 minutes. After that, she led me into the hair washing area. Let me tell you, she's super good at giving scalp massages lol. She literally almost knocked me out when she was washing my hair. Oh on top of that, the shampoo and conditioner smelled really darn good. As I sat back on the chair, she turned me around so that I intentionally could not see my hair. I was anxious to see it, but hey, patience is a virtue (which I'm still working on.) She blow dried my hair with cool air which I certainly appreciate. She even took the time of curling my hair. As soon as she finished, she turned me around and BAM! There we go, my hair looked exactly like the Pinterest inspired photo. I think I'll be sticking with ombre/balayage hair from now on. It sticks out, and quite honestly, I'm digging this different color on me. I definitely can't wait til my hair gets longer again so I can go back for a refresh! read more

I've known Lily for 3 years now and I absolutely love her. I've been following her since my wedding. I found her to do my wedding make up (which I loved), then found out she was a hair stylist too. I went to her once to try her out back when she was at Mastercut. Since then, I've been following her where ever she went. I am so glad she has her own place now! The salon here has been remodeled substantially. It is super clean, and modern. I came here once for a haircut and once for a make up session for my maternity shoot. Both times, I left here very satisfied. My haircut was $30 which I thought was very reasonable. Lily is also super sweet, friendly and has a great memory. She always asks about my family when I come and we always have great conversation. She's the type that can read her customers well. If you enjoy talking, you will have a great conversation with her, but if you prefer a quiet haircut, she can also do that as well. Huge fan of Lily's and I have been and will continue to recommend her to all my friends and fellow Yelpers. read more

I don't get why this place has so many good reviews. I called the place yesterday and today and I didn't get a v.m even. There was a beep on the phone and then I got cut off. Weird! How does anyone on here even get an appointment? I did step foot into this salon, so I didn't just call them. I went to see this lady for microblading and shading there by the name of Monica Guerrero. She is an independent contractor who rents a space there. I've been from salon to salon trying to find someone who would be thorough with cutting my hair as well as help me achieve a look I want. Lily did just that. She was so patient and accommodating with my requests, explaining what she was doing the whole time. I had side swept bangs but the last person had cut them too thin and flat (and my attempt at repair was a nightmare) so she helped to adjust that. She also trimmed my long hair to a nice "U" shape. Added bonus is that she gave me tips on hair maintenance as all I know is shampoo is conditioner. My hair looks pretty much the same as it does in the picture 2 days later! This is a late review, I got the haircut around 7/22/16. I had Jack cut my hair. my hair: medium thickness straight a lot of hair, especially at the top i had 10 inches cut off. the short hair was at my neck, but I could still tie it up. I was pregnant and about to give birth, due date was 7/22/16. So i cannot give any comment on dyes nor perms. I found the place spacious and professional, very tidy and clean. The place didn't smell too chemically. Jack was so attentive to details on my straight hair because you can see all the flaws with straight hair. Even tho it looks like a simple short cut, there was a lot of precision and he spend a good hour on it. I had genuine compliments. Jack seems very experienced and can deliver what you want. also pricing is fair for the care i got from this salon. I read reviews before coming, I didn't really care who I got because it sounds like the rest of the staff is just as attentive and caring. Now that I had Jack, I want to stick with him. read more

I'm so happy she has opened up her own salon, she truly deserves it! Lily has been cutting both mine and my husbands hair for many years now. She is so professional, kind and what I look for most of all in a hair stylist, she's attentive and pays attention to detail. I usually do not complain too much but unfortunately, I have to say something about my last experience at Bleu de Beaute. I usually get my hair done by Catherine. She does great hair cuts and style, however when it comes to color it is a hit or miss. After spending hundreds of dollars my blond balayage elsewhere, I came to her to put a toner on and she literally dyed my hair brown. True to the reviews, lily is a real charmer. She looked at my hair and provided me all the options possible according to my specifics. She took time to explain which color, why, and how much! She kept the conversation going throughout and didn't lead into the 'dead silence' mode where you are left to stare at the mirror clueless. She made sure I understood about the care and maintenance after the color treatment too! First time here at this salon and I'm happy with its service! I came in the morning, was told that it was by appointment only, but Jack Wu was able to make time for me. I had to only wait around 30 mins or so. I came in for a haircut because my hair was getting super long. He took his time and cut at the length I wanted him. He cut off the split ends and following accordingly to layers that I already have. Overall, it was $40 and I tipped him too for making time for me. Listened to exactly what I wanted, just a small trim, and didn't over do it. In need of a "mommy messy bun all day everyday dying hair in desperate need of a fresh hair cut and color makeover" ??? Do it. You deserve it! Ask for Catherine! I was lucky to grab an opening on a Friday afternoon around 4pm by calling and checking availability for a same day much needed hair cut before all the holiday outtings coming up. My intention was only a haircut but I desperately needed a color work upgrade to my poor abandoned hair! Catherine - my hair stylist for the challenge - suggested I also get my hair colored on her own without my mentioning it due to considering the fact I was a last minute cut (not my usual style). This meant she would be working the night and closing the shop after hours (they close at 7) since this feat would take about 5 hours. On a Friday night, when most people would want to call it a day and go home and usually would suggest coming back another day for color. She suggested it with enthusiasm and was happy to help a fellow mama out - at the last minute. Called the hubby to let him know mommy time is in full effect and had him hold down the fort with the kiddos at home. I spent the next 5 hours getting to know Catherine and fell in love with her. She was so down to earth and REAL... I really enjoyed our conversations! We laughed and poked fun at our kids - all in good fun. The time passed by with ease and before I knew it - we were done. I was so impressed by her professionalism and her character as I person. You could tell she really cares about her customer's satisfaction and cared about her work. It didn't feel rushed or chitter chatter in between. I felt like I was talking to another girl friend/sister. Our connection was genuine. It wasn't gossipy like most Asian hair salons where the hair people ignore you most of the time and talk with their co-workers the whole time. This was by far - my best Asian salon experience. It felt personalized and well executed. I walked out feeling refreshed and LOVED my new cut (medium length layers) and color (ash highlights). The salon itself is modern and clean. Nothing felt outdated or dirty. Even the bathroom was very clean. Without the usual storage closet of other random things inside. A breath of fresh air. I highly recommend this hole in the wall gem. The front entrance doesn't face the main street, so it could be hard to miss in general... but thanks again for Yelp. Regardless of the reviews, I was excited to find a spot down the street from home that would take me last minute. It was an extra special bonus that my 5 star experience coincides with the rest of the 5 star reviews here on Yelp. I haven't yelped in years - but I had to for Bleu de Beaute and for Catherine. I found my new stylist! I just recently moved to the area for about 1/2 yr and has been looking for new hair stylist who can meet my expectation. I tried another place few months ago and my hair came out horrible. Finally, it grew back longer and on the way home one day I saw the Grand Opening sign with 20% off hair services, I decided to give this place a shot, and to my surprise Lily the hair dresser did an amazing job with my hair.
