Blue Ridge has been nothing but problems since they took over Adam's Cable. It doesnt matter if it's the residential or business division, the only answer they can ever provide is they are providing a better service so the cost went up. They expect my 80 year old Aunt to set up her own account and her equipment and can't give a good reason why. And for our business.. our bill more than doubled, our business line barely ever works, and when you call they make it seem like it's your fault. First, I never get bills emailed to me because I can't have them mailed sue to being a seasonal. I always forget to call to put on hold so I just stop paying in August, so I get shut off after two months which is October when the campground closes. Well, when Blue Ridge took over Adams, even though I was past due, they continued my service for three more months and then charged me for it. They refuse to issue me a credit. I should only get charged for three months period. Their disconnect policy is 2-3 months but they are charging me for 6. I have spent three hours on the phone arguing and they will not issue me a credit. Horrible Customer Service. Don't ever go with this company, the service is spotty at best; they never notify customers of upcoming maintenance or outages, you have to call and find out when your internet goes out just to hear "turn it on / off again". I've worked with tech for years, even telling them that, do they really think I wouldn't have tried a power cycle? Adams Cable Services has extremely poor wifi service. Losing wifi every ten minutes, even during off-peak hours, and with only one device connected, is very typical. Do NOT contract for Adams if thete is any other provider available to you. read more

I had this company for over 20 years and learned to live with them by: 1) expecting service to go out at least a few times each year for no apparent reason for a few hours to a couple days 2) purchasing only the minimal internet service and watching tv through streaming services 3) managing my own network, expecting no help from their service department 4) periodically checking my bill line by line to see if I was being charged for things I didn't use, and being ready to be aggressive on the phone with them if something did appear 5) if I did have to work with their technicians, being ready to throw away a full day waiting for them to come, and to have to speak very diplomatically to them (once, about 2002, I had to explain what wifi was to one of their techs) 6) remembering that in their eyes I wasn't a customer of many years, but just a revenue stream. Treating them the same way when I had to deal with them. Every time I wandered from one of these rules, I regretted it, usually within hours or days. This is the worst company to ever have to deal with. Kingsley, Brooklyn, Montrose the entire area. Save you money and get STARLINK. I have never dealt with a worse company then this. Paying for over a year for 250 mbps only can get 40-80 if your lucky. We actually have to turn our wifi off to get service and we're in a dead spot for cell service. We have been paying for a service at 110 a month when we should only be paying 65 as their advertisment. If I could give this place zero stars I would. I have a lake house in the Poconos and I came to find that my cable was not working. I had the unfortunate circumstance of speaking to a woman named Carly. She was so unbelievably rude to my elderly mother on the phone when we were trying to get technical assistance. She accidentally unplugged the modem and the woman was so irate by this simple mistake that she completely lost control of herself . She was literally the most rude person I have ever heard in customer service. She told her "you need to do this, you need to do that". I finally got on the phone after minutes of her basically screaming at my elderly mother. She was screaming at her "can I talk can I talk" when we are just trying to get assistance with cable. Very disappointing. We have been working with them for 7 months to run lines into our home. Survey was completed and estimate was given. We then moved forward to get a final quote for installation and put down half the money to start the process. One week after we gave the down payment, they called and said they cannot do it. They tried to say the poles are not good enough to run the lines. Not understanding. The poles were good enough when the survey was done. No, they are not suddenly falling down. I try to play CS:GO while my father tries to stream movies on his Apple TV generation 4. The Apple TV is the biggest internet hog in our home. My games would run so slow that My weaponry would shoot without even touching my mouse. So, we decided to upgrade from 25 mb/s to 50 mb/s. The worst decision ever, for $20 more per month, my games run slower, lag more, and run like shit in general which they shouldn't when using an i7 9750H and a GeForce 1650ti with a 120Hz display. Worst cable company ever!!!! They are way over priced and their internet service SUCKS! It constantly stops working and when you call to complain they claim it's YOUR router. It absolutely is not the router, it is their horrible service and many, many people can confirm this complaint. In fact, many, many people believed this was this issue and went out and spent more money on a "better" router, only to have the problem continue. It is a monopoly company as there is no other options for internet in the Lake Ariel, PA area. I pay for 25mbps internet service. I have three kids who have iPads, we have a desk top, plus phones. I get at the HIGHEST speed 8mbps!!!! The lowest I've had is 0.1mbps (which is what I'm getting right now). Whenever I call they report "an outage in your area." Uhhhh, EVERY time I call there's an outage??? They won't allow Verizon or Comcast in Carbondale City so I'm stuck with this crap and wasting money every month. read more

I never thought I would long for the days of being able to complain about my experience with time warner cable. I just left work early and got all the way home after speaking with customer service 5 times yesterday about how our internet was not working and asking them to reboot the way that time warner does. After waiting 45 min I was advised they had fixed it someone noticed something when they were dispatching the technician. No call to us, just didn't bother to send him out. I can never say that the customer service is rude as they have always been nice and kind on the phone. However, I have been a customer for over 12 years (as it is my only option) and the internet service is horrible. It goes down for a few seconds at a time randomly. This can go from a few times a week to 10-15 times a day. We have called and had service so many times. Each time being told it was something on our end. First it was our router, we replaced it, second was our power strip, we replaced it, next the outlet and so on and so on. Every time we call with an issue they never see anything on their end and nothing ever comes from it. It happened when we had our phone through the company and still now that we do not. They check the lines and check the wires and nothing ever changed. At this point we are looking to move and outside of finding a place with my own washer and dryer, not being forced to have Adams is my biggest concern. If I had cell service at my house I would just get an unlimited plan and drop Adams service all together. read more

Horrible!!! I was told that the tech was going to come before 12 pm, that means between 8am and 12 pm. After contacting customer service at 12 they told me an order was put in for 12 to 4 pm, with a note to come in am. I was never aware of this!! For an hour and a half they couldn't locate their tech, after locating him at 1:45 pm, they told me he'll be there in 30 minutes. It's almost 2 hours later no one came! Now they are telling me someone will be there before 4:30 pm! If you are running late your customers should be aware! Horrible service! Don't use them!!! read more
