Coming here can be so annoying only because there is only one staff member working. I went to return equipment and had to wait for almost 1/2 hour. There was another customer there who said she had been waiting for about 40 minutes. The person who worked there was teaching a senior women (like someone's grandma) how to use their equipment. It was sort of amusing to watch. she totally went through all the details of the channels, gaming, recording, Fandango. All the details and features that this poor women will never use except pressing the live TV button and just simply watch TV. We (supposedly) have their top-tier internet service in Milford, the most expensive package, and all the overpriced connections they said were needed for it to operate. In the past 3 days alone, we've made 11 calls for loss of internet 11 times. They insist it must be the junk they sold us that's not working, we should buy more overpriced junk from them, and they'll send someone for a fee. That's all nonsense. Our system shows we have a connection. What we do not have is the internet. The service requested is to simply provide the service we pay for to stop giving rote "sales" responses to our outages. As for mobile phones using the internet, you don't need a 5G phone for a 2G area. Service has been requested dozens of times to fix whatever they've done at the home office and PROVIDE THE INTERNET. Someone really needs to open an investigation into Blue Ridge and it's monopoly in Pike County. Basically, if you want tv or internet, you're a hostage to this scumbag company. People need to understand that their parent company basically owns EVERYTHING here(PenTeleData, the "internet provider" is owned by them. So is the main satellite provider, newspapers and their own news channel). How is it possible T-Mobile 5G internet is available in ALL the surrounding areas, but not here. I'm currently getting ready to pack up their cable boxes and wireless extenders(and canceling all premium channels) and go full streaming. I'll pay for their minimum wifi service, but tether my phone as often as possible. Everyone in Pike County needs to come together and demand an end to this monopoly. We deserve better. read more

Absolutely terrible company. The office is only open Wednesday and Saturday for limited hours. When I went in to just pick up a new box, they had a line to the door. The two ladies at the counter were oblivious that the line was long and people were getting upset for waiting so long. They could not possibly care less. security cameras are not as advertised. I first made my complaint about sensitivity on June first with ticket number 1957028. I call blue ridge about the issue. I am told Mike will be notified. I talk to Mike directly and there is no fallow through. He says he is working on the issue, busy, or just ignores me during many attempts to understand why it is stressful for him to complete a task. Mike tells me on September 9th how it is funny how everyone can say he has the answer. I think he believes he is answering me by ignoring me. He provides no correct answer to false advertising. Video camera is set up for people, cars, and animals. I have thousands of clips used of shadows from trees. ( cameras are not even set for trees). Then usage of your monthly clips expire. His response is for me to spend hundreds of more dollars for unlimited clips. Why would I spend more money when his system failed to do its job. He then tells me to make the area smaller for sensitivity. I could make it the size of a quarter and I will still have the same problem. I still have problems where cameras are not working at all. I have cars, people and animals go to one camera heading for another and camera. Each camera does not pick it up. He then told me on September 21st I should be hearing back from him soon. It is now October 24th and he has not called me back or corrected the issue. Blue ridge customer service tech 1 and tech 2 can not fix the issue. In the mean time the security system panel broke and I got stuck in my house without any way to disarm it. ( problem was rectified hours later). I have no trust in blue ridge of problem reoccurring. Grew up with BRC, and thought it was average based on my limited experience.. Moved to an area outside of Baltimore and tried comcast xfinity and verizon fios. I moved back to Lancaster County, PA several years later.... After living in an area hat had Comcast and FiOs, And having to return to BRCTV, Irealized that Blue Ridge is complete garbage. Verizon and Comcast are superior in regards to pricing (hugggeeeee differences for similar services), connectivity issues, consistency of internet speeds, on demand layout/ease of use, and modem/router (ended up buying my own with BR because the Aris provided was useless). The only area I might rank BRCTV higher in is customer service.. However, good customer service does not equate to $50 per month more ($600 per year!!!!) for the same service (Basic HD channels, 10mbps ---slower than com/vzn---, 1 set top box) read more

The service reps are ok, as are the tech support people. They do their best. My issue is with the overpriced service. I am still on analog cable, with a 15/2 internet connection. For 70 or so ANALOG stations, that look like crap, and a slow 15/2 connection- I pay nearly $140 a month. I just visited friends in FL, and they have Brighthouse. For $160 a month, they get: 50/5 internet- *real* high speed internet Digital Phone Digital HD TV with something like 1200 channels DVR & multiple cable boxes throughout their huge house If I wanted to match what they have with BRC- it would cost me between $250-$300 a month. All over the country people are getting upgraded to faster speeds, while prices come down. If you're lucky enough to live where Google fiber is, you can get a symmetrical 1GB- that 1 GIGABIT- connection for $70 a month. The price of broadband is dropping, and while some of their upper tiers got upgraded, the 15/2 and below did not. Their tv packages AND their broadband packages are very overpriced, the service isn't that great, and if you cut the cord and drop the tv, they jack up the internet substantially. This is of course to discourage you from using Netflix, Hulu, and the like instead of their crappy tv package. They wouldn't get away with this if they weren't a MONOPOLY. They can make the rules because they're the only game in town, and it sucks. read more
