    Pineapple Fried Rice
    Mandy T.

It's located right in front of Citi Bank near Court Square. I usually go around 2-3ish PM and there's never a long wait. This place was one of the best lunch specials in LIC. You can get an appetizer (spring rolls), an entree, and a drink for only $12! The food always comes out quick and fresh. I prefer the noodle dishes over the fried rice, but everything I've tried here has been pretty solid. I love how you have an option to choose your protein and all protein options cost the same! They also have a more "premium" menu with crab fried rice and a daily special menu. They open at 11:30 AM and take cash, Venmo, or Zelle. They only downside is that their hours seem to be pretty inconsistent - they weren't there on Sunday even though they're supposed to be open until 9 PM and opened 15 minutes late once.

Right in front of Warby Parker there's a blue food truck parked called 'blue pad Thai' . I had to check it out, they have daily specials along with the classic Thai dishes. I ended up getting the chicken pad Thai and a thai iced tea, it also came with complimentary spring rolls. The total came out to $18. The pad Thai was on the smaller side, but was solid, as was the Thai iced tea. The service was quick and the people were nice. They also have a lunch special , which looked like a solid deal.

Affordable prices and tasty food! Came by on a Friday evening and it was a short wait time, around 10 minutes for a dinner entree.

I got it with steamed tofu, which I wish had been cooked a little longer, but it was still good overall. The restaurant itself is cute and stylish, and the servers were friendly. Service was a little slow at times since it took a while for someone to notice my water was empty, but overall it was a good experience. Prices are reasonable, and I'd definitely come back next time I'm in the area.

The old tile-heavy, almost cafeteria-like feel is gone, replaced with a more intimate, dimly lit space that leans upscale. It feels intentional, and likely necessary given the pricing and the level of competition in the area. Food remains consistent, which is what matters. We ordered the pad Thai, sea bass, and spring rolls. The pad Thai was solid and well-balanced, not overly sweet. The sea bass stood out, nicely cooked with good texture and thoughtful plating. Spring rolls were crisp and straightforward, exactly what you expect. Service continues to be a strength. Attentive without hovering, and everything came out on time. The kitchen is still reliable. Overall, this is no longer a casual drop-in spot. It reads more like a deliberate date-night restaurant

Update (May 2026) -- 4 stars…read more I went back to Saranrom Thai today and I'm glad I did. The food was just as good as I remembered -- if anything, it tasted even better. They've also updated the ambience, making it feel cozier. I spoke with Jacob, the assistant manager, about my previous experience and the complimentary meal that was promised regarding the cockroach incident. He said he needed to verify it with the manager or business owner, and after 10-15 minutes came back to let me know the owner approved 50% off the whole meal. While I appreciated the gesture, I did feel it fell a little short of what was originally promised as a full complimentary meal. What stood out most this visit was Jacob himself. He told me he vividly remembered my party from that night because he was the one who seated us -- and he sincerely apologized for what happened. That acknowledgment genuinely meant a lot. They also gifted me a free mug, which was a sweet touch. The food and atmosphere continue to impress, and the staff clearly cares. I just hope the follow-through on promises matches the warmth of the service going forward.

I still remember them seating a group of 14 of us after pickleball with no issues at all :) The portion sizes are generous and everything looks very aesthetically pleasing. I first came during Restaurant Week and got to try a variety of dishes and an affordable price. The Pad Thai Boran quickly became my favorite. The duck is also very crispy and pairs so well with the citrusy pineapple curry sauce Their cocktails are also worth ordering. I really enjoyed "Meet Me at Siam," a fruity strawberry cocktail that's refreshing and paired well with the things we ordered :3

I've tried both takeout and dine out by now. The dine in experience last week was far better than the takeout experience a couple of weeks back. Food tasted better and tasted consistent to the same food I've tried at Malii. For dine in last week, we tried their Mango based rum drink each and luckily made it to their Happy Hour time so was charged $8 less, a good deal. We got their Zaab Zaab wings which were good and ordered the Crab Fried Rice and Panang Curry in Beef. Crab Fried rice was pretty yum with actual chunks of crab meat while the Panang Curry tasted just okay. Hope they can work on that. I also ordered Thai iced tea which was very watery and somehow tasted like medicine, they didn't charge me for it and I appreciated the gesture. Looking forward to try them again and hoping their taste profile can be as good and consistent as Malii. Service was warm and friendly, thanks for that! :)

They definitely didn't tell me that lunch specials were available before I ordered my soup. Other than that, everyone is pleasant. Space: they have two sides, so plenty of space, but nights and weekends can get pretty packed, so keep that in mind. Food: I ordered Tom Yum soup and a lunch drunken noodle with a Thai iced tea. I only had the soup there and took the entire lunch special to go. Just based off of the soup, I will be going back. It was delicious and PACKED to the MAX! Writing this now, I can still imagine. Drunken Noodles were also really tasty. I like mine spicy and it could have been made spicier, but that's not even a real complaint. Also- the one next to me had this dish which reminded me of pad see ew but in a gravy. Looked delicious!! I will be back for whatever she had. Overall: the entire block is like a little Thai street. There are lots of Thai food options and I finally made it to Ayada. Super happy with my meal and excited to go back with some people and enjoy.
