Had a wonderful first visit here for date night. Service was excellent. The food exceeded my expectations. (I feel like food can be hit or miss at places that have a minimum F&B requirement.) The tables are communal and a bit close together. But I think an intimate and small setting is what's to be expected at this venue. The show we went to wasn't sold out, so we did have a bit more space at our table. I look forward to going back!
Love the vibe at the Blue Note. It's a great way to start or end your end in LA. I've been twice; once to see Lizzo and most recently to see Chloe Bailey. It's definitely a tight space but I appreciate the intimacy with the artists. I also can't complain about the quality of food or drinks. The staff is pretty chill too. All around grown and classy experience.
Wonderful quaint venue! Saw Boney James here. No bad seat in the whole place. Very intimate atmosphere Bar seating or table seating with a price. Definitely going back for more wonderful evenings of jazz,
Food: Spicy Chicken Bao Buns crispy chicken, garlic aioli, pickled onions. Chicken Wings Crispy glazed wings. Good flavor chicken was a little hard. Yummy Spicy Tuna Tartar Crispy wonton, spicy tuna, Marinated Olives Mediterranean herbs..,Awful not flavorful bland nothing like advertised. Excellent prompt service. Cool ambience; the music was spectacular. We sat at a table for four.
I've seen several great shows at the Blue Note! The sound is excellent and most of the prices to see some of your favorite artists are fair! It's one of those spots where you can totally go solo to catch a quick vibe and go home. Most of the shows are like a hour and some change so if you go to the 7pm show you can totally be home by 9:30/10. Unless I'm sitting with a party of more than 2, I prefer to sit at the bar. I'm not that fond of sitting elbow to elbow with strangers, plus quite often I've found the views to be better! You are required to spend a $20 minimum and that is easily covered by purchasing one alcohol beverage. My recommendation is to eat dinner before u come because I've tried several items from the menu and they weren't very delicious- especially at the price point you'll be paying,
This was my first time at Blue Note, and I really enjoyed the intimate, slightly upscale atmosphere. I'd recommend dressing up a little, but you definitely don't need to get too fancy. If you have table-seating tickets, it's first come, first served. I arrived about 15 minutes before opening, which I'd say is plenty of time to get a good seat. Just be prepared for the tables to be very cramped, especially directly in front of the stage. You're essentially shoulder-to-shoulder with your neighbor, so you might as well get acquainted. It can also be a little uncomfortable turning your head to watch the stage from some seats. Since I arrived early, I decided to check out the food. Honestly, do yourself a favor and eat beforehand. The food is overpriced and pretty average. If you do plan to order, getting there early makes it much easier since you can place your order before things get busy and they can clear the plates right away. The seating definitely has its drawbacks, but the band was absolutely amazing. The music and performance were the highlight of the night. Parking is at 1400 Ivar Avenue in a structure. If you purchased parking ahead of time, bring your parking ticket from the structure into the venue and once they scan the parking that was emailed to you they'll validate that structure ticket for you.
One of my boys had the opportunity to perform here last weekend and there was no way I was going to miss this opportunity. There is a parking structure around the corner so there is plenty of parking. The jazz club does validate if you pay in advance and I think it's pretty convenient because we actually stayed a little longer to hang out with my friend backstage after his performance. Once we arrived, you walk into this huge open area with the bar to your left and a bunch of seating in the middle. To the right is the stage with a blue background (probably to go with the blue note theme lol). One thing that stuck out right away is how packed they made it. They are definitely trying to maximize their profits by squeezing everyone in there like a pack of sardines. I would rate this higher if they took out a few tables to give people some space and legroom. It's insane! Besides that, it's perfect! The sound is good, the vibe is on point and the food was very good! I went with the salmon, mashed potatoes and broccoli and everyone who ordered it was raving about it. That salmon was fire!! I'll definitely be back to catch other artists I've been wanting to see live. I would recommend but you guys have to make some space so we can breathe. OOOO 4.5 out of 5 Afros
Arrive early to have your pick of seats. Venue was nice and well organized. Moss was our server and she does an excellent job. Food options were decent and at a good price. Enjoyed the band and the crowd. Two shows on Sunday. $20 paring in the garage around the corner.
Really enjoyed the ambiance of this jazz club! It is an intimate, upscale venue, with dimmed lighting. Since it is a small venue, there is limited seating and the tables are crouched together (not ideal if you don't like tight spaces) but that also adds to the charm of a small intimate concert setting. The service was wonderful. Our waitress was very kind and attentive in filling our drinks and tried not to disturb the tables during the concert. The food came at a reasonable time. There is a $20 minimum food/ drink for each person. The food itself was quite delicious although the portions were ridiculously small for the spinach dip (a little overpriced) and while the olive halva cake had layers of mediterranean flavor, some parts of it seemed hard/stale (almost like when you microwave bread and some parts harden). I loved the intimate setting and concert. Wayne Brady and his friends were amazing entertainers and we had a great time! Great venue, ambiance, and concert. I just wished they were better with the freshness of the food and include bigger portions to make up for the higher price. I also wish that the tables were not so close together as I felt like I was elbow to elbow with other guests! But overall, a great time and I would recommend this place for a unique experience in LA!
Saw a great show with Judith Hill and her band. A local and international favorite. First time there. The show was great. On time and electric. Club wise 1) easy ticket ordering 2) easy pre-paying of parking 3) EVERY employee is gracious and competent 4) GREAT martinis 5) could work on the food - that's it weak point. Needs more omami and presentation work. 6) Clean bathrooms that has an attendant. Don't forget to tip the attendant with cash or VENMO.
Intimate venue great for a date or small group. I came for a Saturday night concert and appreciated the intimacy of the venue. We were seated close to the stage. The service was very friendly and the drinks (the blackberry foam drink) was delicious. There is a minimum $20 order requirement for each person-- I suggest doing drinks over food. Be mindful - the tables right in front of the stage are very tight/cramped.
My group of five drove nearly 2 hours from Irvine for the Monday 7 PM Omarion show. We arrived around 6 PM and were told the left side had the better view as the center seating was already full. The food, drinks, and service were great, but the experience was ruined by a cameraman standing directly in front of our section for much of the show, blocking our view of Omarion. For nearly $80 per ticket, this was unacceptable. If seats have obstructed views due to filming, Blue Note should disclose that upfront or have the cameraman move around. We came to watch Omarion, not the cameraman. Unfortunately, this experience makes me hesitant to return.
Just went to an amazing show by Robert Glasper at the Blue Note Jazz club. This is a 200-seat venue with a full-service restaurant and full bars. It used to be an Italian restaurant, they say. Parking was easy at the parking lot next door at 1400 Ivar ave. Paid $20 on my way out. It is an intimate setting; it feels smaller than I'd thought, in a good way, and you can see the artist up close. The service and the food were excellent. We got there at 5:30pm for 7pm show. The place was already half full, but the food came fast, and our server Camilla was attentive and courteous. This is a little gem in Los Angeles. I enjoy going to the Hollywood Bowl, but this is a whole another way to enjoy live music in Los Angeles
The talent was excellent, and my salad was good, but the way they squeeze you in like sardines, is not comfortable. The seats are very close together and you definitely feel like you're in a relationship with everyone in the room because you have shared way more skin than you do on a normal basis with other people. I know they want to accommodate more people, but they should think about how many people they are putting in this room because it's slightly uncomfortable and not that easy to eat when your arm is touching someone else's arm. read more

Arturo Sandoval at Blue Note Los Angeles - Table Seating (Jun 06, 2026) My husband and I had a wonderful evening at Blue Note Los Angeles for the Arturo Sandoval show. We arrived for the 5:00 PM dinner, and the food was really good. The service was friendly, though I'd rate it about a 7/10 only because the staff seemed backed up with so many tables at once. The music itself was incredible. Arturo Sandoval delivered an unforgettable performance, even with the unexpected sound issues that caused about a 45‑minute pause. Once everything was back on track, the energy in the room picked right up again. Overall, despite the delays, we truly enjoyed our night. Great music, good food, and a memorable experience. read more

Saw Kamasi Washington at the Blue Note during his residency. Did not realize it was first come first serve, so we got stuck in a table to the right of the stage. Turned out we had nothing to fear, as the sound system was incredible from every angle and the room feels pretty intimate. The food was surprisingly good. For cocktails, try the Smoking on the Back Porch. Sensational and unique. We'll be back. read more

I had the pleasure of visiting the blue note 3 times during opening week. Walking in you can see the intimate layout and how tight the tables are. There are several different areas to sit at depending on the ticket you bought and if you have a table reserved for you. Ive sat at the bar and also the tables so there are pros and cons to both seating areas. All seating for the most part is first come first serve. The exception would be if you are vip, or have a table reserved. So arriving early is imperative if u want the seat of your preference. Again seating can get tight so depending on where u sit , prepare to get bumped, or adjust your seat to accommodate your neighbor. Now because i attended during the opening week , the menu was limited to allow staff to adjust to the flow of things. I tried the Whipped Feta Appetizer with bread and the Salmon dish. The whipped feta was a hit and miss with the feta ranging from more a liquid consistency to an actual whipped texture as it was intended. I enjoyed the salmon , broccolini and wasabi mashed potatoes but it did take awhile to arrive at my table the both times I ordered it. The live shows I watched was nothing short of amazing and the sound was perfect to me . Special shout out to the bar staff, waitresses Michelle and Ahn(sorry if i misspelled it). Management were also really helpful, i truly did not encounter an unhelpful staff member. The bathroom is interesting, it is gender neutral. I believe there is a total of 6 oversized /accessible individual stalls . So don't get startled if u are washing your hands next to the opposite gender. There is also a bathroom attendant inside at all times. Overall, I enjoyed the blue note and i hope to change my review to 5 stars in the future once the kinks are worked out . I definitely plan to come back. read more

I want to first say the entertainment is always first rate. The level of talent is amazing and the venue is so intimate every seat is a good view (but pretty cramped at the tables. I was blessed to see the legendary Sheila E. here the first time and sat right in front and was mesmerized watching her play the drums live and right in front of her and wow, what an epic experience. A true living legend. The second time I got a last-minute ticket to see Lizzo and she blew me away. She has a range of talent that is just incredible- and we got to see her play the flute masterfully! The ambiance has a really cool jazz lounge vibe, with blue lighting. But..Oh dear... I've been here twice and I had two very different experiences here. First was amazing second was sub par (for food and service). So unfortunately I was going to give this place a 5 but I will knock it down 1 star because my second visit frankly was a 3 for the dining. The first time impeccable food and service. And oddly I sat at the same exact table in the front both times. First time - Fast to order got the cavatelli with beef ragu which was highly recommended and the No-Groni (the non alcoholic Negroni) and both were spectacular. The pasta was a big portion and the sauce was rich and flavorful. I ate the whole thing! And I ordered multiple No-Gronis. The second time... our whole table waited 40 minutes when seated and still didn't have anyone come by to take our order and in the meantime everyone around us was already deep into their main courses and drinks. The gentleman next to me flagged down a manager to explain what happened and they were trying to get a host to help us but it seemed like a lot of confusion as it still took another 10 minutes for someone to come to help us - seems like there was a miscommunication on who was covering the table (which no one was). The hostess who helped us was very apologetic and took our orders right away. Drinks came quickly and they said they would expedite our order....but the food came in waves. Several of us were still waiting while others already had finished their food. I ordered the Eggplant Milanese and it's beautifully presented but feels like they take 3 fried eggplant pieces out of the frozen food section, overcook it, slap some canned tomato sauce on a plate and put arugula on top and charge $28 for it. A total rip off. I was so hungry at that point I ate it as I was fearful trying to get anything else would take forever. The gentleman next to me ordered the Chicken Milanese and he said it was hard as a rock. They did get him the salmon as he requested as a replacement but that also took forever, he barely got it before the concert started. When asked how my meal was I said it was just fine so it was nice that the hostess was willing to comp a dessert and I picked the warm olive cake and boy that was another big mistake. The cake was dry, felt store bought and warmed in the microwave. Ice cream was rock solid and when I finally tried it, there was an unpleasant smokey taste to it. Completely inedible. Thankfully it was "comped". So in summary... order the cavatelli. Avoid anything breaded or fried. Do not dare order dessert. Discounted parking available when you buy a ticket online for it for the garage right behind the club. read more

Came tonight to watch Aloe Blacc. We arrived early because I had issues with receiving tickets through their ticket web, and wanted to make sure they had us listed. Staff were friendly and checked us in. All seating is first come first serve, but pricing on bar and table seating I think are different prices. Place was decorated nicely. - parking online $15 vs $20 by venue they validate. -$20 minimum per person - get there at-least an hour before if you want to get as close as possible or have options where to sit. We were first and chose a decent seat not super close but with an isle/walkway in front of us. -family style seating, with tables for 8/6/4 if you bring 4 you don't have to worry about possible awkward conversation with people you've never met. -does get crammed really quick with a lot of people. Another option would be reserve a booth. But not sure how much that would be. Servers were nice hosts/seaters were friendly. Wings were not spicy more on the sweeter side but they were enjoyable. Was a fun night with a semi intimate setting. We enjoyed the event. -restrooms are a free for all men and women combined. read more
This place is so beautiful. The music was lively and you can hear it from every corner of the venue. They definitely pack you in, felt like I was in people's personal space but that's generally how these shows go. Definitely go early to grab a good seat. We also got the linguine pasta with clams and it was so zesty and delicious! The clams were small and few in the pasta but still fresh none the less. The main star only played for 45 mins and we were expecting more. It was a good one time experience and a great place but I don't think I would come back. read more

Checked in at The Blue Note Los Angeles and whew... what a night! The ambiance? Smooth and electric. The band? Absolutely bringing the house down. The crowd? Fully engaged -- clapping, grooving, and loving every minute of it. Between the delicious food , great drinks , and a room full of music lovers vibing together, the energy was contagious. You couldn't help but move to the rhythm! This wasn't just a show... it was a whole experience. If live music, good food, and a fun participatory crowd are your thing, this is the place to be. Nights like this at Blue Note... simply unforgettable! read more

Like Richard, I was underwhelmed an disappointed in the venue as a whole. My husband and I attend live music at least once a month in a variety of settings, including the stacked cabaret seating offered at the Blue Note. While we enjoyed Warren Haynes the seating left a lot to be desired. We were cramped together and seated on hard chairs at folding tables that often felt like they were going to topple over whenever someone got up from their seat. On our way out we noticed an area in the back that was elevated and contained round tables with plenty of space between each party. I innocently asked a busboy what I should look for when ordering tickets, that would allow us procure these seats. He suggested I ask the manager, We found him, and asked, and were told these tables were unavailable to the general public as "we're in Hollywood, man. We need to have seats available for Hollywood people who might just wander in." In other words, we are lowly peons. Thanks but no thanks, there are plenty of other venues to patronize, where we won't BE patronized. I will say that the wait staff were helpful and courteous and food and drinks were decent. read more
WYCLEFF JEAN SHOW We had the best time here at the Blue Note Jazz Club watching Wycleff perform! It was a packed house and the whole place was full of energy I highly recommend you check it out. PROS: - cool vibes! Dim lighting. Tables are all near the stage not a bad seat anywhere really. Restroom is unisex. - delicious bites! We ordered food and everything was tasty but the portions are small. Think appetizer sizes. The raw scallops were my favorite! - perfect sound as the walls are padded and shaped. Live music with instruments everything sounded great. - first come first seating! We got there an hour early to stand in line to get the best table. - the servers are ON IT! They were friendly and came often to take our orders and the drinks were flowing all night! Cons: - it's very cramped inside. Literally you are sitting back to back with strangers. Walking between tables to go to the restroom was difficult and I'm not a big person. - don't sit at the very front of the stage or you will have a neck cramp from looking UP. read more

I've been here twice, and both times the experience was disappointing. My first visit was for the MonoNeon with Chris Dave and Marcus King show set for 9:30 PM, and it started about 20 minutes late. The place was overcrowded and packed tight, and I was stuck at the bar with a view of the stage that sucked, partially blocked by the crowd. Tonight I'm here for Infinity Song, and it's more of the same. If you're sitting at table they require a $20 minimum order, which is frustrating because of my kidney and heart failure I can't order from their overpriced menu. The staff seem rude in general and not very understanding. The whole experience just doesn't feel worth it. read more
Finally made it here! So lucky to see Robert Glasper and Ari Lennox on 12/17, she was beautiful and the vibe was immaculate. We sat at the tables next to and in front of the stage. Service is efficient and the food was pretty decent. My only complaint, it's a tight fit. It could use 1/4 less tables, feels cramped. Even so, the food and drinks come out quickly. read more

Excellent! Excellent! Excellent! I love a good place for live music. This place did not steer me wrong. Upon entry the decor is beautiful. I love the deep blue stage. I will say the seating is a little tight, but hey, I can get past that for exceptional music. I ordered the almonds, olives, and dip with toasted bread off the appetizer menu. All of them were great snack foods. Our server Ashtar (sp?) was very energetic and upbeat. Her personality made the experience a 10. I also ordered an old-fashioned, which was perfectly made not too strong not too sweet. The show was amazing. I can't wait to return. This place is a "must experience." read more

This place was nightmare fuel for someone like me. It was my own personal hell. If you are a person like me who does not like crowded spaces and being close with people, avoid this place. I started to give this place 3 stars when I started writing as I recalled the night it dropped to 2. We came to see a 7pm show and doors opened at 5. Thank goodness we got there around 545 because who knows where we would have been seated as it was packed already. Imagine our horror when we are seated at a table with strangers. This place ONLY allows seating with strangers so if you do go then I suggest a minimum of 4 so at least you will not be with strangers. The table was so small that our bodies and food were hanging off the table (see pictures for reference that is exactly how the food was placed on table, I took a picture immediately after bc I couldn't believe it) The party that was already there hadn't overtaken the table per se the table was just small. If you are going to force people into this situation at least get bigger tables. The aisles are small. I don't think I would have survived had we been seated in the middle section which was even tighter. I witnessed a server of some kind spill a drink on a man's knee in the booth behind us because everything was small so his knee was sticking out as well. Much to my horror the exact same thing happened to me later in the evening with water being spilled on my exposed knee thanks to the server and my body hanging off table. They are reaching across you to take care of the strangers at the table (likely leading to all this spillage). Not to mention the strangers drank our bottle of water bc the woman half thought it was theirs. They did replace it but who wants to go through all this for a night out. It was pure misery. Last comment on this is I seriously do not know how this place is allowed to operate like this and it not be a fire hazard. Something is amiss. Had a fire broken out we would have all been dead. No one could walk through those "aisles" comfortably as one, let alone if something unfortunate happened. I mean the tables were so close on all sides that your chair was right next to the people behind you. The food was just fine. Nothing special. Needed salt and pepper. Service was good but nothing will make up for cramped quarters. I didn't even enjoy the show much bc the artist kept walking off stage taking breaks, rock guitar solo and rap when I was expecting jazz. It's not necessary when the show is already so short and started 20 minutes late. We knew we had to leave by at least 845 bc they needed to turn over for the next show. By the time the rap friend kept going we left early to get out of this hell. I would never return to this venue as is. I do not wish to pay for table seating with strangers where I cant even eat properly. P.S. 1/7 Im still mad and decided to add more context it was Robert Glasper who I went to see who I have been chasing down for 10 years to see (long story) and he kept walking off stage. The band got more time, guitar solos, rap solos, drums solos. As this was my partners first time even knowing about him I had to tell him that the one of few "songs" he performed which Robert described as something they were just playing around with during rehearsal sounded more like his actual music than what he(my partner) witnessed tonight. I even had to pull up spotify to let my partner listen to what RG sounded like. And after we heard about and saw clips from 930 showing my partner said "oh so we got the warm up" which is truly the perfect description. 7pm got a rehearsal warm up show and it appears 930 got "real show". I am also adding picture of the human sardines that is this place. read more

I have had the opportunity to visit Blue Note, three times in November 2025: Terrace Martin, Kenyon Dixon, and CimaFunk. Two of the three times, I had table seating, and had the chance to try the burger, linguine & clams, and Saratoga sparkling water. Each time, I arrived an hour ahead of the showtime, to allow time to settle in our seat, place food / drink order with the waitress and finish before the lights dimmed. The staff does a great job of moving through the tight seat quarters, constantly checking in to see if we were good to go. All three musical performances were amazing and intimate, each time I was able to score seating in the middle area of the dining room, with a perfect line of sight to the performing artist on stage. I look forward to visiting again. read more

The show was phenomenal! You have to get there early to get a decent seat because there's so many seats where you can't see . The bar seating is a nightmare so don't even waste your money. Eat before because there's nothing good about the food. Small portions, cold fries , and very expensive. Just have drinks- they have mocktails too and enjoy the show. I'll definitely be back but eat before read more

So, if I order the wings, & they happen to be undercooked, and I get sick ... does their disclaimer exempt them from liability? What????? This alone had my friends and I (almost 20 of us) just order 2 drinks ($20 pp) and spend our dining funds elsewhere where the food will be cooked properly. Our server was sweet but she was SICK. Not just sick: we're talking coughing, sniffing to keep her nose from running sick. We're all checking on each other to inquire if we're ok! The place itself is packed but in a fun way. The layout could improve to allow everyone the view of the stage as opposed to the backs of performers' heads but overall, ok. Would I go again? Yes. But only after having dinner elsewhere so that I'll only have to order the drinks. read more

Performers and Ambiance are 5 stars! But..... I want to love going here but each time I've gone there has been a problem. 1st visit I arrived late because it was a last minute thing. When I walked in I saw my friend was already seated and she was at the table right in front of the stage. I didn't feel like walking thru all of the people to get to her(it's such a tight space) so I went and sat in one of the booths in back. I wasn't aware those were reserved for "VIP's". Anyhoo I'm sitting there for at least 40 mins, at least 4 waitresses walked past me. The man who was I think was the manager or someone with the Blue Note walked past about 20 times he kept checking on and joking with the group in the booth next to me. No one came to take my order, ask if I needed anything. It wasn't until the show was almost over that a waitress came and asked if I wanted anything. I was agitated at that point and said no. 2nd visit was a little different because I was sitting in the booth with my friends and the artists family.(this is how I found out those booth are usually reserved for VIP or performers family and friends). The service was completely different. Waitresses were very friendly and accommodating. The issue this time was drinks or lack thereof. The waitress mentioned that they didn't have 4 of the speciality drinks listed on the menu and of course 2 of them were ones I was considering. I decided to go with a mocktail, the waitress tells me only 1 of the two listed were available :( I go with the one available and it was disgusting. How do you mess up a mocktail? 3rd visit I went with my 3 coworkers. To make this short we ordered at 6:50. I got my meal at 8pm and it was completely burnt I had to send it back. One coworker got his food about 10 mins later. My other coworkers never received their meals. It was a complete mess and we were all starving because we skipped going to dinner before and opted to eat here. To the Blue Note credit they apologized and comp our meals. I think I'm going to give them a break for a while, it's still fairly new so maybe they are still knocking the kinks out. But if you're looking for great music and nice ambiance definitely check them out. read more

Was lucky enough to get tickets to see legendary hip hop royalty, RAKIM perform here and he was AMAZING! Smooth and poetic as ever! The Soul Rebels band accompanied him and were SO good. Shout out to the DJ too who got everyone going with his old school pre show mix!! Such a cool vibe at Blue Note. Only downside is how crowded the seating was-we could not move and your neighbors are literally backed up against/next to you. also had an issue with parking although I prepaid and had my ticket scanned when we went in -it did not work at the lot when we left so we had to PAY AGAIN to get out :( read more

Ok so, we actually came to LA for an artist's show at this place. Someone else was going to open for them as a feature. The place itself was good and intimate for such a performance. When we got to the venue, and ASKED OURSELVES about the artist is when we were told that the main artist is actually not performing and only the "feature" band is going to perform. I have so many issues with this - we were never notified of this change/cancellation, not by the venue (where we bought the tickets more than a month ago) nor by the artist (through any media/medium). I'm still in shock how this unfolded. We actually flew into LA for the weekend just for this artist. So disappointed and shocked at everything. The food was average (there was $20 min for each person). They could've handled this so much better just by better communication. read more

I was excited to see Mayer Hawthorne at the newly opened Blue Note Jazz Club. The place is intimate with terrific acoustics. Tables are close but I sat at the bar and felt like I had the best seat in the house. Management was friendly and made you feel welcome. Staff was attentive and very professional. Best of all was Mayer sounded better than ever. The food menu needs a little work. We ordered the scallops and the burger(not pictured). Both were good and priced well but I saw someone who ordered the whipped feta with bread . The bread were two slim pieces of what looked like pita. So they need to work on the appetizer list ,maybe add another one or two sandwiches. But was there for the music and not the food. Venue is excellent for music. The two managers were so friendly and kind. Never been to a club with staff like that. Kudos to the Blue Note. read more

At r he Blue Note Jazz Club in Los Angeles felt like stepping into the kind of evening you wish you could bottle and keep forever. Charlie Puth took the stage, so of course we're off to a magical start, but what made the night even more special wasn't just the music. It was the way the entire experience unfolded with such precision, warmth, and care, a testament to a management team that clearly understands what world-class hospitality means. From the moment I walked in, everything felt seamless. The staff moved with quiet confidence and genuine charm, striking that perfect balance between attentiveness and ease. There is no pretense here. Every interaction feels natural, thoughtful, and sincere. You get the sense that everyone, from the host at the door to the servers on the floor, takes real pride in being part of something special. The space itself is immaculate. Lighting, acoustics, and layout all work together to create a setting that feels both intimate and polished. Even in a full house, there is room to breathe, to take it all in, to savor the moment. The Blue Note has managed to capture the soul of classic jazz culture while giving it a distinctly Los Angeles sheen, modern, stylish, and effortlessly cool. The food was a pleasant surprise, beautifully presented and full of flavor. Each dish felt considered rather than routine, and the drinks showed the same attention to balance and craft. Every cocktail arrived with care, made by people who clearly know their art. What impressed me most, though, was how smoothly everything operated. There was a sense of orchestration behind every detail, every transition, every moment. The management's hand is steady and confident, shaping an experience that feels luxurious without ever feeling forced. They have built a place where music, service, and atmosphere come together in perfect harmony. Charlie Puth may have been the headliner, but the Blue Note itself shines like a true star. Los Angeles has many venues that promise a great evening, but few deliver it with this level of grace and professionalism. The Blue Note is more than a club; it is an experience that reminds you how good a night out can truly be. read more

Ask the Community - Blue Note
Is there valet parking?
No. There is a parking garage. I usually luck up and find meter parking especially for weekday shows.
Do the stools at the bar have backs to lean on? What is a good time to arrive to get a seat at the bar?
There are 2 rows of seating at the bar . The row that has you against the bar has seat backs. The other row does not. I recommend you arrive before doors open to get the best seat . So if doors open at 5pm i suggest u get there by 4:30pm.
Is the jazz club 18 or 21+?
Table seating is all-ages. Seating at the bar is 21+.
