If your sales person was helpful in helping you make a decision to buy a certain piece of jewelry, they will send you a link that you can buy from and that way they get credit for the sale. It threw me off a bit but it kind of makes sense. I do like the service here and the non pushy atmosphere because of this business model. This place is located on the second level of Tysons mall. They get extremely busy with people stopping in, so if you want some attention definitely book an appointment. We set up an appointment to look for engagement rings. The shop had a nice atmosphere. There were tons of mirrors and the lighting was great! There was a decent amount of ring styles and inventory options to try on in store. This was very important to me as I am a visual person. They sell both natural and lab grown diamonds. The items in store are just for display. Once you decide on your ring they can customize/order it for you. The prices were fairly competitive. They also have a GIA Certificate they can give you. My favorite part of ring shopping here was the customer service!! Nikki assisted us and she was so helpful. I felt truly cared about I also love that she gave me little tips from a woman's perspective. For example, how to choose my ring size so that it's comfortable but not overly snug because my finger may swell throughout the day or if we plan on having kids in the near future. She was also super patient and even assisted with taking picture so I can get a feel for how the ring looked on me. Overall, I love this shop and I highly recommend it. Absolutely loved our experience at Blue Nile. From looking at rings prior to our engagement to my husband ordering my ring, we had a 5 star experience. When looking at rings they were super accommodating especially because I walked in knowing exactly what I wanted. They were pulling up different diamonds on their screen and actually took the time to explain to us the different cuts, color, and clarity. Since my fingers are so small they even helped me figure out what size carat would look best on me and helped me with the sizing of my band as well as the setting/prongs. Since getting our rings, my husband has cracked his once. They were amazing and immediately took it back and fixed it for us. I will say it's cracked again and I'll need to go back but it's common with the ring we got him (Matte Hammered Comfort Fit Wedding Ring In Black Tungsten Carbide (8mm)). I love how their products come with a lifetime guarantee product warrant. Our whole experience was quick but also fun. Wow, just wow. These are salespeople. They are hired to sell a product. We have been in this store multiple times. Help is just awful. This past Sunday we went in to buy a 3-carat 3-stone ring. The salesperson could not answer one question. It was like pulling teeth. The lack of knowledge of their product was clear. The lack of knowledge of selling was pretty clear. When I brought up my issue to their customer service department directly on the phone, Blue Nile's representative was incredibly rude and told me that this was my problem for not returning the ring within 30 days. Moral of the story: you can call them directly to ask them to address their issue and you will get NO help or customer service. They were wearing gym clothes and no one greeted him or asked if he needed help the entire time he was there. He had to ask them to see certain rings. He ended up ordering the ring online because the store employees made them feel uncomfortable. We went yesterday to look for a wedding band. I had a specific question about a style. We walked in and we were the only ones in the store and the two employees were both sitting down. No one got up and no one greeted us. I asked if an eternity band could be custom made to be a size 4.25. I got the most condensing answer with no follow up. He didn't ask what else I was interested in or show me rings that could be customized sized. I said thank you, we all stood there awkwardly in silence so we left. We went to a few other jewelers in the DMV area and he ended up going with Blue Nile after the pandemic. We worked with Lisa and she has been such a gem. I have several diamond pieces from Blue Nile. I personally order online because of the ease of choosing the exact diamond I'm looking for. But it's nice that they have this store location available to view limited products, talk with an associate , and even pick up your online order if home delivery is not convenient for you. There are a number of diamond vendors online, but I have yet to find one like Blue Nile when it comes to my picky standards . For example, If you are looking for an internally flawless diamond, D color, with the most ideal characteristics , no fluorescence , etc , then not only will Blue Nile give you GIA diamonds to view and choose from but their prices are ummatched. Other vendors like James Allen, White Flash, BGD, etc. all lack in at least one area. Either the diamond isn't GIA certified, or it has some fluorescence, or the girdle is too thick to deem it an ideal cut, or the majority of their diamonds are lower on the color and clarity scale. Obviously I've done my research, so trust me when I say Blue Nile is the place to go if you're shopping for diamonds (be it a ring, or jewelry). read more

She never complicated anything, and was true to her words, all while tailoring to the vision of the ring. We are so grateful for her help that we returned for our wedding bands selection. To our surprise, with the different designs, the ring size may not always be the same. My wedding band design was slightly different from my engagement ring band, and I had to change the size more than twice for my wedding band until it fitted right. They are not the cheapest by a long shot and don't honor their "low price guarantee." It doesn't apply to any upgrade you might consider in the future and there are almost 20 weasel clauses for them to wiggle out or their guarantee. I regret buying from them and would advise you to look elsewhere. I found a large solitaire, the exact same one their offered for 15% less. Furthermore they have gone private in 2017, after being a publicly traded company. That translates to zero transparency and potential price gouging. Do yourself a favor. AVOID them. read more

They have nice diamonds, sure. But do you really want to do business with a company who dupes its customers? They're "interest-free" credit card is not a credit card. It's a loan. If you don't pay the full balance by the end of your term, they will charge you interest on the total amount throughout the term. The end of my term occurred over my wedding and honeymoon. I knew I was late but had more important things to worry about. I figured one month's worth of interest on $7500 isn't that much. You can imagine my surprise when a $4400 interest charge appeared the next month. And that's when I discovered the fine print that the sales rep did not tell me about and is not found anywhere on their payment website. They put it on their statements. Really? Who reads actual statements these days? When I wrote to their CEO Jason Goldberger with some feedback on how nefarious this appears, I got a note back from the Sr. Director of customer relations who essentially said, "Sorry. You should have read the terms. Not our problem." If you're going to drop a bunch of money on an engagement ring, do it from a jewelry or another online diamond retailer. Blue Nile clearly does not care about their customers. Do you really want to make a purchase that big and important from a company and CEO like that? read more
