My deep tissue massage was just ok. The customer service was terrible. My masseuse was 20mins late. When she did arrive she asked me to pay AND TIP BEFORE my service. That rubbed me the wrong way. I agreed to pay beforehand but I told her I did not feel comfortable tipping before I receive my massage. After the basic massage I decided I'll tip. Hey it's Covid, they could use it. I am a regular now. I have a desk job and lift about 4x per week and end up with many knots and tightness. The masseuses are all great. You let them know if you'd like it light, medium or hard. I always opt in for a 60min full body massage and prefer it to be medium to medium light.. Depending on how I feel. $45 for 60min is very reasonable. Make sure you call ahead to make an appt. you can usually make an appt on the same day. When you arrive, push the doorbell and someone will quickly open up. Very disappointed in my first experience here. Called the day before to reserve two 90 minute massages for me and a friend. Arrived the next day and they did not have any record of it nor were they professional about their mistake. They asked us to come back an hour later so we did. When we returned an hour later, a different woman was working the front desk and was confused as she did not see any record of this either. We were told they would see us but it would be a few minutes, which ended up being 30 minutes later. As we waited, we saw a customer who had a large long haired dog in the massage room with him, which is not only unhygienic but my friend has a pet allergy. My massage was not enjoyable as I had to remind her multiple times that I asked for a less pressure and to not stick her elbow directly on my spine. She blew her nose on the tissue but did not wash her hands before continuing. Even though we were very unhappy with our experience, we each gave a $10 tip and they both demanded we give them more. We explained that we appreciate their time but were unhappy with the experience, especially with the mix-up of our reservation and the long wait. First of all, the lady giving me a message left me three times, twice to go answer the door and the other time to use the bathroom. I know she was using the bathroom because the walls were thin and I could hear her pee. But what I couldn't stand was that she was falling asleep while massaging me. While lying facing the ground, I felt the massage stop sometimes but I though it was part of the massage, when she turned me over and started with my front, I could actually see her doze off and catch herself a couple of times from falling on me. I felt bad for her and didnt want to embarrass her. One time I closed my eyes really quickly so she won't see that I saw that she was falling asleep haha. I was having very bad back pains from working 10 hour shifts every day and especially coming home to a bad mattress. I decided to give this place a try to help ease my back pains. It was $45 for an hour body massage. The massage includes a sack of hot beads and hot stones. When I first came in, they didn't give me any towels or garments to change into. They just told me to enter the room & gave no instructions, so I just expected to sit there and wait. So when the masseuse walked in, she told me to take everything off and it felt so awkward as she was watching me strip. And it was especially awkward that she didn't give me a towel to cover my chest before I laid down, so I ran straight to the bed before she could see anything. The back massage was pretty painful, so I should've warned my masseuse that I was very sensitive. It felt like she was elbowing my lower back for the longest time, when I originally told her my back pains where in my middle & upper back... I also didn't expect that she would massage my ass; it was kind of odd.. But besides that, the arm & leg massage felt so relaxing. She had some weird slapping technique to the arms and legs, so I tried to restrain myself from laughing. I tried to convince myself that the back massage felt good after she was done since I wasted all that money , but the next day I felt so sore and probably even worse than before I came to the place... especially in the areas where she elbowed me Will probably come back for the leg massage. So glad I stumbled across this place. I was in need of a massage and this place was reasonably priced and open! It was $45 for an hour massage. So amazing. I asked for a medium massage, and it was pretty painful but it felt SO good and necessary. She also used heating pads on me and it was so amazing. Omg I LOVED the heating pad part. It was so nice. My masseuse was named Lisa, and she was great! I definitely recommend this place. The place has nice and peaceful music, and was clean. They take cash and credit card, but they charge a $2 fee to use the credit card. I really really enjoyed my massage... it was a great body massage! I'll definitely be coming back! read more

I went to get a deep tissue massage after starting the new year with an abundance of work related stress. After I was shown the room, I quickly changed and turned my phone OFF. After about 30 minutes of having the best massage ever and starting to fall asleep I heard a loud and abrupt cell phone noise which woke me up and took me completely out of my element. I ignored it and tried to relax again. Then I the noise became constant, as if the woman messaging me was watching a show or movie. I said please turn off that noise and she keep playing it. Then I got up halfway and look at her then look at her cell phone like..."can you turn that thing off?" After that she put her cell phone away but the damage was already done. I was no longer relaxed and upset that I came here and paid my money to get some peace, quiet and relaxation only to have her watch LOUD tv in her cell phone. after I was done I barely wanted to give her any tip but gave her $5. She turned to me and said no this is not enough' I told her she was playing her cell phone during the massage. She opened the front door angrily to 'kick' me out. That's when I asked to speak to her manager. I told her manager and her manager translated her explanation which was something about her kids. I was the only appointment that day because this was when the Warriors parade took over Lake Merritt. My boyfriend and I had never had a massage before. Probably one of the most satisfying massage experiences I've had. I had a 30 minute full body massage. I had a lot of tension in my upper back, Summer did a great job pressing into the knots in my muscles. At one point she was kneeling on my back, which I've not experienced before but it felt really good! Massage ended with hot rocks, and felt very soothing. They play nice music and the place is warm and clean. I used the online booking system, which seemed to confuse them, they weren't exactly ready for me. I love this place! A girlfriend and I came in for a massage on a Sunday and we really enjoyed ourselves. The women working there work hard to make sure that you are happy with your massage - and we were! It isn't anything fancy or luxurious but for a $25 foot massage, you really can't beat that. I have come to this place every 3 or 4 weeks for massages for the last year or so. Sad to say that lately it hasn't been good. One example is on my last visit where I called a few minutes ahead of time to make an appointment with Apple. I spoke directly with her and she said she was available and to come right in. When I get there 10 minutes later, someone named Niko answers the door. When I say I have an appointment with Apple, she says Apple isn't available and that Niko is the only one available. I figure I'll try it. During the hour she stops the massage several times to answer the door. I was never given any of that missed time back. The massage wasn't great and felt like I was getting poked and prodded. Then after leaving the massage my back tightened up to where now I need to go somewhere else to get a massage to fix the bad massage I just got.......
