Blue Moon Pizza will probably be a place I visit... well... every blue moon. Let's start with the positives: the service was amazing. Truly. Attentive, friendly, and made us feel welcomed from the moment we walked in. That always matters to me. Now the food. The wings were okay, not bad, not unforgettable. The pizza? Huge. Like feed-a-small-team huge. But also overpriced, and unfortunately lacked the flavor I was really hoping for. Big portions don't always equal big taste, and this one just didn't quite get there for me. Add in no parking (Atlanta problems), higher-than-expected prices, and food that landed squarely in the "just alright" category... and yeah....I'm gonna pass like John Stockton did his entire career. (Assist kings and queens will understand.) Again, shoutout to the staff , they carried this experience. But great service can only take you so far when the flavor doesn't finish the play. Finally found decent gluten free pizza in Atlanta. Took forever. Couldn't find one I liked. But enter blue moon. Came here with my wife since they have both gluten and dairy free options. Started with the gluten free burrata, which was a bit odd since it was essentially just gluten free pizza crust served seasoned but otherwise plain with the tomato and other toppings on the side. It was good, just a different way of serving it. I got the gluten free crust (not cauliflower) with dairy free cheese and chicken sausage and spinach. The cheese was incredibly melty for dairy free and the crust and chicken sausage were very good. If I had one complaint, and I must since I'm at 4 stars not 5, is that there wasn't enough sauce and the sauce was kind of plain. Still, over all, the pizza was very good. I got something to drink too but I don't remember what. Maybe a manhattan? Not sure, but I didn't love it. Anyway, minor issues aside, this is a great option for gluten free in Atlanta. read more

Went to Blue Moon once for the first time in 2019 and really enjoyed it! I was excited to visit again recently when I was in the Buckhead area after having a random craving for some good wings and a salad. Blue Moon is the perfect combination of sports and dive bar meets pizza joint. Unlike some of the other bars in the area, it wasn't packed with a ton of drunk people which was refreshing. I got my wings! Half lemon pepper and the other half with a sweet sauce. I also got a wedge salad (soooo good), and shared an order of loaded fries with my husband. I love going to blue moon after work for the pizza and loaded fries, but today was the WORST service I have ever received. I was immediately seated walking in and received my drink, however, after 20 minutes of looking at every server in the restaurant stand around and talk to each other or on their phones, I grabbed my keys to leave. Galya finally acknowledged me to take my order after what looked like her consulting with another staff member about who would actually serve me. At this point I ordered my food and decided I'd have it to go. The fries came out first served as a dine-in meal. I ate the fries as I wait for my pizza. Whenever she decided to walk back to my table again I asked for the check. After paying for ALL my food, she asked if I still wanted my pizza... that I just paid for. We were in the area around dinner time and looking for a spot that would serve a variety of food preferences and restrictions. The sign indicating gluten free crusts on this new to us pizza place was all we needed. The vibe inside is cool, the wait staff uber friendly and the food options exceptional. I've never seen a pizza place with so many options for toppings. My wife and I each created our own pie, see photos, while our companions selected a pizza and a meatball sub. The pizzas were delicious, plenty of toppings and the extra sauce we requested was appreciated. Not sure if or when we'll ever be near a Blue Moon again. So I was having an urge one slice so I stopped in. That is that open type of bar, a little more sports bar than fancy. But that's perfectly okay. They have music playing in a background and plenty of TVs. They have indoor and outdoor seating so if you were looking to sit outside, you would definitely be able to do that. You most likely will have to find parking because parking isn't free so just get that in mind. But you're in Buckhead so you should probably already know lol. They have a nice size bar, so if you just want to come and just drink this is a nice spot to do that. I ordered a couple of slices, and they were both both pretty good. One was pepperoni and ham and the other ones chicken and bacon. They made them to order so they were very fresh. The pizza had a sweet taste, so the sauce has a sugar vibe about it. The toppings were pretty hearty. The ham came like big Canadian bacon pieces lol but they did not skimp. I did some pretty extensive searching to find a spot that checked all my boxes--I was looking for a sit-down place with a good atmosphere where I could get some solid wings and fries (which is surprisingly hard to come by, especially since I'm usually not a fan of the fries at most wing spots). Blue Moon Pizza absolutely delivered. I went on a Friday night for my first visit, and by the end of the meal, I was genuinely confused as to why there weren't more people there. I never knew it was there, it's definitely a hidden gem. Aside from one other group, we had the place nearly to ourselves--but don't let that fool you. However, I will say, it was clear there had been people before us as the tables were kind of dirty, so this is an area for improvement, but it was an overall good experience (and they have a good food inspection score so I'll still give this place a 5 despite the dirty tables). I was skeptical at first due to the dirty tables, but the food and service were both fantastic. The menu is really customizable, which I appreciated. You can mix wing flavors (a huge plus!), and even get a half order of the cheese fries--perfect for a light appetizer or a solo person. The wings were excellent--I ordered them fried extra crispy and they came out perfect. The fries were way better than expected, especially for a place that isn't just a wing joint. I also ordered a side salad and was impressed that it came in a chilled bowl--such a nice touch. And the service? Top-notch. Friendly, attentive, and made us feel really welcomed. Pigged out yesterday and I must say since living in the area I sadly have only ordered 3 times. I've lived here for 4 years!!! The appetizers are AMAZING but the pizza is ok. I was immediately impressed by the flexibility of the menu and even ordered the cauliflower crust just to try something new...and specified a wide variety of customized toppings. We also got an eggplant panini. In short - it was delicious. Really happy with our choice. Be prepared for carbs! And the service was incredible - these guys went out of their way to be amiable and to make sure we had a great experience all around (including catering to our multiple random requests). The Luna pizza is very different from the traditional flavors of a normal pizza. I think this is one of my favorite pizzas. The chorizo on a pizza is a very create meat to put on a pizza. It goes very well with the spicy ranch sauce. As you might have read, the garlic rolls is a signature dish here. Tip on how to eat the garlic rolls if you order takeout: poke small holes/slits on the rolls and then pour the garlic sauce on top of it before you heat it up so the sauce percolates inside the rolls read more
