Blue Line is the perfect stop for coffee, shopping, or taking a break in Old Forge to chat! I had seen this on instagram and just so happened to drive right past it on a day trip to do some hiking in the Adirondacks and pulled into the parking lot immediately. It was super busy inside for a Friday fall morning but the wait wasn't long at all and managed to keep the line short. To my surprise, it's also a gift shop! I couldn't help myself but look at every item on every table during the few minutes I waited for my drink to come out. Speaking of my coffee, it was delicious! I got their shaken espresso and I almost stopped for a second one on the way back - it was just that good! The location is great, right along the main street near Water Safari for anyone looking for a little pick me up it's truly the perfect spot! I wish it was closer and I would be there every weekend. read more

This was the third or fourth time I've visited Old Forge, but the first time I've visited the Blue Line Coffee House. I have no complaints! I went with my fiancee in April (it was not nearly as busy as it can be during the summer months). The baristas were very friendly and our coffees were delicious. I do prefer a more robust flavor, which they absolutely nailed. We also tried their rice crispy treat, which was delicious! It was enormous. We will be back next time we visit! read more

Favorite. Coffee. Shop. Ever. Blueline is hands down the best coffee, friendliest staff, and awesome locations (one in Old Forge open year round and one in Inlet only open during summer). They have so many flavors to choose from and offer a variety of coffees, teas, smoothies, and pastries. While it is usually crowded during peak times in the summer, they make your drinks really fast and you can even mobile order online for both locations, which I've been doing and is such a time-saver! They post their seasonal beverages online and always have fun flavors, and there's space both inside and outside to hang out or do some work. read more

It was a rainy late morning so we came here to get some coffee before discussing the parlays we would be putting in for the day. The baristas promised the rain would end soon and the sun would shine. The caffeine helped us make some of the boldest/cleverest parlay bets we had ever made. Hats off to Blue Line Coffee, named after the color of the border that goes around the Adirondack park. Update: I got the Dark Roast, which was called The Dark Knight, an homage to the critically acclaimed Christian Bale Batman Movie. A great spot for in and out breakfast and coffee. The coffeehouse is well kept and nicely set up. Steer clear of the smoothies -- extremely watery and not at all smooth. Highly recommend the ADK cold brew! Be aware that a majority of the eclectic souvenir shop is $50 clothes. You won't find a knick knack under $15 here. read more

We stop at this coffee house everytime we are Old Forge. Usually we have a wonderful experience and enjoy the amazing lattes. This time, however, a worker named Francis treated me and daughter horribly. She opened a second window to take orders, and moved over to hers as we were next in line-- but had accused us of skipping the line though that was not the case. my daughter forgot to order cold foam because she was flustered by Francis' demeanor, so when we pick up our lattes a few minutes later, she simply asked the barista if she could add cold foam. Francis had by then closed the second window and had make her way to pick up end of the counter just in time to belittle my daughter for making the mistake (even though my daughter offered to pay for adding it). Francis said she didn't need to pay but decided again to make a verbal jab at my daughter and they she had the barista dump out 1/3 of the latte to add the cold foam. Which was basically all the espresso leaving milk and cold foam and an inch of empty cup---so we basically paid $9 for milk, cold foam, and Francis' snide remarks. The kicker is that we werent our "normal" selves because we were just returning from gathering important documents from my late mothers home-- who was killed in a car accident a few days go. so please pass along to Francis to dial it back a little. No one was out to make her job harder. But accusing patrons wrongly of budging the line, making snide remarks and belittling a teenager for making an absent minded omission in her order (a few days after losing her grandmother in a car accident) is literally not necessary. and if anyone wonders, no we did not make a scene, even though my handsome hubby wanted to go back after seeing our daughter walk up in tears. Yelp is the only 'scene' worth making, and I only hope it will help Francis take a deep breath next time she's working because everyone At some point needs to be treated with just a little kindness and grace-- even at a busy coffee shop. read more

This place is pretty neat. Love the look with the open windows that you can sit in look out from. There are some outside seats for nice weather and only a few seats inside. The rest is filed with merchandise. I wish they would decrease that part of their coffee place & increase seating. They have a small but nice menu with lots of seasonal drinks. The line was always long & a bit confusing since there was 2 places to order & you could go to one if you were paying with a card but would only know this when an employee would yell it out. Their ordering system did not work well because people who ordered before us got their drinks after. I think it was short staffing. While waiting people were talking & saying they got their drinks wrong & didn't want to wait for them to be fixed because they already waited so long. Our drinks were correct & came out nice & hot. They were definitely trying but I think they were a bit overwhelmed. Drinks were delicious with great flavor. I would definitely go back & hopefully they will work out their kinks. read more

I love this coffee shop. Delicious speciality lattes. We enjoyed the s'mores (half the normal sweetness for me) and ginger snap latte for the husband. Iced or hot you can't go wrong. Over the course of a week we tried many baked goods: blueberry lemon cookie, s'mores cookie, peanut butter cup cookie, white chocolate raspberry scone. Our favorites were the s'mores cookie and the blueberry cookie. The gift shop is so cute. We picked up fun water bottles for our toddlers and a game for the adults entitled, I should have known that! Can't wait for the next time I'm in the area. read more

An absolutely delicious cup of coffee. If you like a real fresh cup, stop HERE ! I was impressed. The aroma inside was worth the visit. It was a sunny Saturday ....the end of October....but warm enough to sit outside in one of their Adirondack chairs. You put those three things together and that is heaven. The drink here were nothing short of perfect, from the coffee to the smoothies, this place was delicious. The coffees were cheap and they had many selections of flavors and sweets. Nope. Not 5 stars. We chose this over a couple of the other places due to the solid reviews. The coffee was quite good quality and flavor. Solid 4 for coffee. My sons iced chai tasted like a bit of cinnamon was waved over the top of watered down milk and sugar. Solid 1 star, as he ditched most of it. Ambiance was more like a touristy gift shop with a few Adirondack chairs as an afterthought. Solid 2. The biggest bummer were the girls working behind the counter. And if the blond at the register was the best choice for first contact with customers, wow! She had zero interest in doing her job, let alone doing it well. I had decided that maybe she was awkward as we were a couple in our late 50's, so I watched as she waited on a couple of people her age. Still just as disinterested. I think one of them picked up immediately on her bad vibe, and was being extra pleasant almost trying to get her to crack a smile...nuthin! I really hope people tip this girl accordingly, so she either figures out that a bit of pleasantness goes a long way, OR finds another job. So, lastly 1 star for customer service. read more
