They had so many handmade goods: scented soaps shaped like trees and pinecones, saches with pine needles, a variety of homemade soups, pies, and so much more! We bought a little bit of everything. The owners were so warm and friendly. On our way out, we realized we were in need of half and half for our morning coffee. The owner gave us a small container - on the house! We will definitely stop by again and often. This was a true gem. Wish we had discovered sooner.

This year I tried a drumstick flavored blizzard with peanuts and hard chocolate and cone pieces like the classic supermarket cone. Another in our group got mint chocolate chip hard ice cream and it was tasty. Next time I'll go back to the gelato. Can't beat the view of the lake from nearby Arrowhead Park.

We decided to try them for lunch. The menu was rather extensive for such a small place. Lot's of pork dishes, stew, plantains, yucca, nachos etc. etc. and of course empanadas. It took a while for the girl to take our order. When she finally did the wait for our food was extremely long. There were only two staff members but it still took too long. They must not have anything prepped. When we finally got our food it was mostly good. I got the beef empanada and rice and beans. The empanada was very good with well spiced ground beef but small for the price. The rice and beans were also tasty but average. The plantains were delicious. The chicken empanada was flavorful too. My niece enjoyed her loaded nachos and my brother's ribs were tender and tasty. The kids got some ice cream and even that was a wait. I found out later we could have ordered ahead which I would suggest doing. With some work on their timing this could be a favorite in an area with very few choices.

We fed a family of six very cheaply, and everyone got what varieties they wanted, out of the 10 or so they had ready. The crust is pretty standard and flat, the wet toppings (like BBQ sauce) are a little overpowering, and I could see if this pizza sat around very long that it would not be as tasty. However they are turning over a lot of it, and high volume means freshness, usually. I would enjoy it again by calling and placing an order, and they will cheerfully make it hot and fresh for you. We liked the cheese and garlic white pizza the best; they have varieties of this with broccoli and chicken that I bet would be even tastier.
