I had to ask for the beads back as she threw them out in the garbage. I didn't even get all of them back. It's not like I have a huge hand or wrist. I should not have had to pay for a bracelet that I was only trying on to see if I liked it and the fact that she wasn't even going to give me the beads after throwing them out in the garbage is terrible service. I only have about half of the gold beads and now I have to see if someone can create something out of the few beads that I was given back

The whole family (there are no rapids; I recommend ages 11+) can feel connected to nature and that've had an enjoyable half day laid back kayak excursion in the Adirondacks. I made a kayak trip with my lady with this business, and then I came back again with family. The outfitters and staff are small town friendly.

I was very surprised upon entering, all the neat decor they had. I instantly wanted to adorn my entire house in these things that reminded me of home. Many of the items are wooden. I purchased a wooden framed piece of art, and a t-shirt. The owner was very friendly and she has a great passion for the Adirondacks. It was super busy inside for a Friday fall morning but the wait wasn't long at all and managed to keep the line short. To my surprise, it's also a gift shop! I couldn't help myself but look at every item on every table during the few minutes I waited for my drink to come out. Speaking of my coffee, it was delicious! I got their shaken espresso and I almost stopped for a second one on the way back - it was just that good! The location is great, right along the main street near Water Safari for anyone looking for a little pick me up it's truly the perfect spot! I wish it was closer and I would be there every weekend.

But now, it's near and dear to my heart, not just for the rustic decor and furniture that have graced our family camp's interior for years... But because of the books... Old Forge Hardware's vast bookstore is hands down the largest and broadest in genre scope for 100 miles, stocked to the stacks with ADK history, Art, how-to books, true crime, kids' books, adult fantasy & my favorite: HORROR.
