The whole family (there are no rapids; I recommend ages 11+) can feel connected to nature and that've had an enjoyable half day laid back kayak excursion in the Adirondacks. I made a kayak trip with my lady with this business, and then I came back again with family. The outfitters and staff are small town friendly.

For a small town this has a nice variety, and the prices are decent if you hit them up at the right time. The staff ranges from great, to downright horrible (I myself have worked there) with the expansion of nursing supplies I see it extending the life of the store a couple more years, sadly you will most likely see this business go within a couple of years, they don't make enough profit to stay open.

There are cute pumpkins and gourds on the deck, and the interior is like someone's house, only filled with creative--and yes, rustic--decorations. They have salsas, jams, sauces, fudge. The whole place is filled with tempting unique pieces of home decor. The bathroom had nice smelling soaps and body creams. They also have some antique jewelry near the front. I immediately bought a candle upon smelling it (log cabin, which smelled like the pine trees on our hike), and then realized there was a whole upstairs section I missed. Each of the rooms upstairs had different themes. One was bridal, there was one with 99 cent small christmas ornaments, and one with clothes and shoes. I would come again if I ever happen to be on this road. It would be perfect for some browsing even if you don't end up buying anything, or to search for a gift. Even if I don't return, this place has introduced me to A Primitive Glow candles, which I'm happy enough about.
