I've only tried the float therapy here so far. The float rooms are located in the bottom floor down this very steep staircase, but inside it is nearly completely soundproof (or as soundproof as one can get in the middle of Midtown...). The experience is very relaxing, as you get a huge private room to shower and then float in. The tubs are also really big so you don't feel claustrophobic. I appreciate the amenities as well, like lotion and little packets of Vaseline to cover up cuts. You get plenty of time to shower before and after your appointment so you do not feel rushed at all. Staff is very knowledgeable, courteous, and friendly. They do not try to upsell you on stuff and kind of just leave you to do your own thing, which I really appreciate.

I prefer the white room over the blue room, and both technically do the same thing. You can choose between no lights, starry ceiling, with or w/o music. I've done w/stary lights and music...completely dark...and then dark w/music...each one a different experience. She suggested I hit the restroom before my hour float and then returned to give me some quick information about the sensory controls inside the float space (ear plugs, light/Star & sound options, etc). Then the glorious hour was all mine. You strip, shower & carefully step into the float room (8-10" deep). Make your sensory adjustments and off you go! Your mind does the rest. About 20-25 minutes in I forgot where my limbs were or that I had them...my imagination started running (I had sound & blue light on and mostly eyes closed). I saw organic shapes & moving flower type shapes with feminine faces emerging from each one followed by a series of uncommon floating terrains and then just a drifting twilight consciousness. Never asleep though. All in all pretty wonderful & definitely an experience I'll have again in the near future.

At first you walk in, they provide you with a menu so that you may choose the prefloat tonic. I thought it was really interesting, I picked the euphoria one. Tasted like a nice tea and was a beautiful color, I'm guessing from the butterfly pea steeped in it. The adaptogens has a bit of a bitter taste but it was warm and not off putting at all. Then you choose your float experience. I had a hard time deciding between full sensory deprivation or a guided meditation. I did the vessel of love but it was good to know that if I wanted to, I could turn off the lights and the guided mediation at any point - which I did and it was lovely. The room was very clean, they gave me the steps I needed to wash and exfoliate my skin before hand. All their products are le labo and smell amazing. After floating you pick a drink to reflect and I choose the chai which was the safest bet in my opinion in flavor. Besides instruction there isn't much interaction with the staff but they were helpful if ever needed. I think it's a nice treat to yourself to decompress after a stressful week. I do think the 80 dollar entry for first time floaters should be the overall price for all however. Especially since the experience is just an hour.

The guy at the front desk was very welcoming, he greeted us as soon as we walked in. He told us it would just be a few minutes while he got the rooms ready for us. He was very thorough in explaining the process and offered us waters and showed us where we could get some should we need more during our time there. The place was also very clean. They provide robes, towels, slippers, pretty much everything you need. I did the two part experience, starting with the sauna and finishing with the float. I started with the sauna where which was 45 mins then moved to the float which was 1 hour. The only issue I had here was that the sauna room was too small. I was unable to fully lay/stretch out on the bench, which would've made for a much more relaxing experience. Instead, I had to sit the 45 mins with my knee bent and the bench was hard on my butt despite them having a towel down. The float was by far my favorite part of the experience. It's right across from the sauna room. The guy again comes to take you there and explain the process in detail. There's a shower for you to use before you get in the float and to get your body ready and acclimated to the temperature in the float. There's float has light and relaxing music, both of which you have control of if you want it or not. I turned the light off initially but it was way too dark for me lol I felt trapped so I opted for lights on. The process was so very relaxing that I even fell asleep for a while. I was woken up by the audio telling me the float has ended and thanks for floating. It also tells you that it will begin the cleansing process soon so you should exit the float. As I was showering and getting ready to leave, I saw it going through the cleansing process which was good to see. Definitely recommend this float if you are stressed or just need a mental break. It was good to just be in there with you and your thoughts to reflect and detach and then eventually, truly relax!

This was a nice experience. Hubby gifted me a visit to Reset Float for an hour in their sensory…read moredeprivation tank. He purchased the experience from Groupon. I was initially worried because of a past claustrophobia event during an MRI (I'm not usually claustrophobic but I freaked out during my scan and had to be calmed down). Hubby and I had time off together and decided to take the trip to LI for my session. He booked one for himself as well. When we arrived, Raymond checked us in. He explained what we should do in preparation for the session and provided us wutg wax ear plugs. Each room is single occupancy with its own shower (with soap and shampoo), towels, slippers, and bacitracin (if you have any scratches on your skin). It would be best to not book right after shaving or if you gave open wounds, because you'll be floating in a high concentration of Epsom salt (magnesium sulfate), which could be irritating to cuts and abrasions. They provide the bacitracin for you to put onto any scrape you may have, which alleviates the sting. Once in the room, you disrobe and shower. You must be clean before entering the tank. The tank is like a clam shell, you climb in and use the "pillow" under your head to keep your head afloat. You're completely naked in the tank and you just float. Napping has exponential benefits while in the tank. Once you set your session, the tank does all the work. You can listen to music, adjust the sound, or just stay in the quiet room. I fell asleep a few times. Because of the high concentration of MgSO4, you're floating and have pretty decent buoyancy. I have locs, so I brought my own swim cap - I would suggest bringing one of you don't want the liquid saturating your hair. Raymond examined how to put on the cap, with the hair on the very top of your head, and the side of the cap covering your ears. I would say, however, not to cover your ears because it creates a spacc for the liquid to seep into and for that reason, I was a bit unhappy with what happened after my session. Once the float is done, the tank let's you know. You exit the tank, hop in the shower, and clean yourself. Once you leave the tank, it begins it's self-cleaning process. The water is swirling around and around and I'm guessing they use UV to help clean it. I did not realize that there was soooo much salt in the tank. I thought I did a good job cleaning myself off in the shower, but because the water got into my swim cap some, once it dried, everything that still had remnants of the water, dried white. Once we headed out, Raymond had water waiting for us. That was refreshing. You should not have a heavy meal or drink a lot of fluids ahead of your visit. I was wearing a black dress and the drips from my hair would dry on my dress and then turn white. You really have to rinse yiursf off very well. It would be best to schedule this kind of experience on a day when you have nothing else to do. I will say that for the actual experience, it was very relaxing and felt amazing but the aftercare was a lot, especially with the salt drying. I would do this again, but definitely will not be going anywhere else afterwards.

We went here a few months ago. The place is very dark and feels like you're in an underground cave (which I guess you kind of are...) that's cordoned off from the rest of the world. Bathhouse felt much more like an open public space, less well-kept, and the intake at the front desk was very poor. Aire had a wonderful onboarding with a detailed explanation of everything available and where to go for it. The massages were mostly rub-downs and were very relaxing (I fell asleep during mine) but not therapeutic, per se. Aire also has salt scrubs you can do, which is a nice touch, and overall the pools are immaculately maintained during the day. So if you're deciding between the two and have enough money to go to either, I recommend spending a touch more on Aire. It's worth the difference.

There are a few different pools, each with their own temperature and/or benefits. Don't miss the bath upstairs with a beautiful skylight! My massage was an ok experience - pressure fluctuated throughout, so it was hard to pinpoint when to tell her to go harder or softer. Even though there were a lot of people, it didn't seem too crowded in each pool at any point. The ambience is very dark, calming, and relaxing. The nice man at the front desk was very accommodating and refunded me my $80. So, as far as customer service, this place is great. Unfortunately, the rest of my experience was quite bad. The idea of the flotation tank is sensory deprivation. Its supposed to be pitch black. It is. It's supposed to be completely silent. It is not. The whole time I was lying there, I heard something clicking. Every couple of seconds: click. And 2 seconds later: click. And as if that was not annoying enough, once in a while, the clicking stopped. For about 8 or 10 seconds, I thought "Finally, it's quiet!" Then it starts again. Clicks and clicks and clicks, every few seconds or so. Turns out, I learned while I was leaving that the clicking noise was the water heater that's designed to match the water temp with your skin temperature. But, it is so distracting that I just kept getting more and more ticked off. All the while, it's hot and humid, so the sweat begins dropping into your eyes, but you can't do anything about it, because if you wipe your eyes, you get Epsom salt in them. Actually, on second thought, that would've been preferable. But neither lying in a humid bath tub with tapping sounds every 3 seconds nor putting Epsom salt in my eyes are worth $80. Nice guy at the front desk, though.

Every staff member I encountered was professional and kind, the facilities were beautiful, and the massage was honestly one of the best I've had. The only caveat for me was the experience at the front desk. While the staff member wasn't rude, I did feel that the welcome lacked warmth and attentiveness. I had prepaid for several add-ons, including a hot oil enhancement for the massage, a juice and wellness shot intended to be enjoyed during the bath experience, and an additional pressed juice. While I did receive the oil enhancement during the massage, the other add-ons were never explained or reminded to me throughout my visit. When I went to check out and return my bracelets, I was initially told that I was "all set," and I had to remind the front desk that I had prepaid for additional services. Only then was I given one juice. I appreciated that it was acknowledged, but I was still short the juice shot that was intended to be enjoyed during the bath portion of the experience, which unfortunately never happened. Because everything was prepaid in advance, I also wasn't really sure what I was supposed to do at that point -- ask for a refund for the missed add-on? I didn't want to make a fuss or create an uncomfortable situation, so I just left it alone. But that lack of attentiveness at the end did take away from what was otherwise a very positive experience. I think the front desk role is especially important because that person is both the first and last impression of the experience. They are helping set the tone when guests arrive, but they are also the one wrapping up the final moments before guests leave. As wonderful as the massage, facilities, and atmosphere were, the ending unfortunately became the part that lingered in my mind afterward. I genuinely wish the experience had felt a little more seamless and attentive from beginning to end, because otherwise it truly would have been exceptional.
