Pizza, pasta, burger options as well as salads etc. i had a salad which was tasty with fresh leaves and well cooked chicken. My 2 year old niece was given crayons and colouring in supplies to stay occupied which was a nice touch and staff fussed over her. The kid's pizza was huge - we had to take it home as our little one was defeated. Three large slices were consumed enthusiastically! It may be a haunt of hen/stag do's as they have a large cocktail list and there was a rather noisy hen do in when we were lunching. Staff did have them away from diners though. Standard pub decor, clean toilets, friendly staff and suitable for kids. I would return if lunching in Largs.

It is also held in similar acclaim and has a comforting presence and atmosphere inside. Shaped and laid out much like a roadside diner, the aging decor is charming and quaint rather than old fashioned, perhaps why it remains popular with the retired contingency of the town. While they keep their style consistently the same, the menu has had a bit of an upgrade in recent years and has for a while been inkeeping with the Glasgow panini eating culture of the West End. They have a massive variety of main courses, keeping things relatively simple but of good quality, staying on the inexpensive side of things. For the wuality of the homemade food the prices are reasonably low, and there are plenty options for health fanatics and veggies alike. What impresses me most about Harlequin is, however, their dessert selection. The apple pie is to die for, leaving you feeling satisfied and sleepy afterwards. As most good meals should! This place is almost as good as cosy Sunday dinners in with the family, which keeps me returning everytime I'm in the neighbourhood. Don't go changin' anytime soon, Harlequin!
