You decide...The only issue I had with my above ground spa was one of the pumps stopped working which resulted in several of the jets not blowing. The other pump/jets worked fine, the hot water heater worked fine, the display panel/controller worked fine. I contacted Blue Lagoon (Andy) who came out and confirmed I needed to replace the bad pump. He also suggested I change the circuit breaker to a GFI for safety which I appreciated. He ordered the pump and circuit breaker and changed them both for $690.00. I then decided to give the spa some new fresh water. I turned off the breakers, drained the spa, filled it with fresh water. I then turned the breaker back on and ran both pumps on high. I added some needed chemicals such as Bromine and Spa Alkalinity and the spa ran fine (all pumps) for about 20 minutes at which time the circuit breaker then tripped. I tried turning the breaker back on and it continued to stay tripped and wouldn't reset. I called Andy who came out a few days later and checked the spa again at which time he then told me the other pump was now bad AND the controller was now bad and both needed to be replaced and also mentioned something about the heater also being replaced. The new added cost would be about $800. Hmmm, coincidence or not not?? Again, you decide. read more
