Jose returned my call within 3 hours. Came out the same day to evaluate my situation. Needed to replace a 30+ year old Jacuzzi filter system which was leaking for the pool/spa, and remove a 30+ year old jacuzzi pump for the built-in spa. Because the original equipment was so old, standards have changed over the years and Jose was able adapt and repipe what was necessary to incorporate a new Pentair filter system. I purchased a Hayward VS MaxFlo pool pump direct from the supplier. I needed to get it installed and replaced the old pump. Left a message on Monday morning and within 30 minutes received a return call. The gentleman Jose was at my home by 10 and had installed the new pump beautifully. I was at work and he made my day. We had a leak in our pool and couldn't tell where it was coming from. The owner came out and was very knowledgeable. We were impressed that the workers showed up on time, did the job, and when we had an issue they came out right away and resolved it. Its been months from when we got the work done and we are very happy with the results. Price was pretty reasonable. The owner said our pool is old but well built and didn't try to upsell us on a total renovation or remodel. We found them to be very honest and reliable. Very rare for this area. When an inspection for our new home revealed serious problems with the in-ground pool, I searched for a pool expert to give us a clear assessment of the repairs that would be needed. At 9:00 pm I left emails and voice messages with a few companies, figuring I'd hear from someone the next morning. Instead, Jose, the owner of Lakeview Pools, called me back himself, at 9:10 pm!!! Not only did he get back to me that evening, but he also carefully read the inspection report, called me back that same evening, and gave us a solid understanding of the renovation we should anticipate. AND he gave us excellent advice regarding other repairs based on the inspection report. His advice was spot-on. Once we closed on the house, Jose met with us, outlined the pool renovation we needed, and proceeded with the pool reno within a few days of our conversation. His pricing was fair, and I can't sing his praises highly enough! Jose was very hands-on, showing up at our pool and supervising the job himself. When we had to be out of town, he sent us daily updates and photos showing the issues his team addressed, and how each problem was dealt with and repaired, so that we would have a worry-free pool. Everyone on his team seems to have the same work ethic: they all worked hard, and I can hinstellt say that Jose and his team are true masters of the trade -- they are perfectionists who take pride in their work. When some surprises arose that were not anticipated, Jose did the additional work without complaint, and without ever asking for any additional payments. I used Home Advisor to find a pool contractor to fix my issue with the pool motor which was not priming. I used a technician from Lake View Pools Corp, 5901 Town Bay Dr, #813, Boca Raton, Florida. Name of the technician is Jose Collazos. This person tested the pressure of the water coming into the pool motor without starting the pool motor. I am not sure how he got any readings because he didn't or couldn't start the motor. He stated that I need to replace all above ground plumbing, pool pump and the motor. I want to stress that Pool motor and the pump was working fine and his assessment was it could brake any time as there is a time lag between turning on the switch and the time it take to crank the motor. His quote for the project (attached) was $ 1,200. His quote includes cost to replace pool pump, motor and above ground plumbing work. I visited local pool store and the person who owns the franchise told me that what I have been asked to spend was ridiculous and he suggested for me to replace "o" rings of the turning nozzles and seal the pipe temporarily with PVC cement. Voila, it worked at once without any issues. After that I found a You Tube video which advises how to replace intake pipe. It took me about hours time plus $ 40 in supplies and my motor is up and running well. This provider charged me $ 75 for the service call. This person made no attempt to find where the air leak was. All effort was put into selling rather than service call. This company had good ratings on Home Advisor and that was the main reason why I chose them. If anyone still planning to use them, I would recommend not to pay for the service call and also get a second opinion from another provider or your neighborhood pool store. I found out later that there plenty of pool contractors who will give a quote without charging for a service call. read more
