Back against using Blue Water Pools, this time to refinish our pool which was in bad need of an overhaul. I checked around with a few companies to get prices and see portfolios, but since I used Blue Water previously with great success, I decided to go with them again. On the first day the team showed up as expected and got right to work. The guys worked very hard throughout the entire time they were on site and progress was quick. They kept us informed about what was going on and were excellent with communication overall, which I appreciated. Most importantly, the pool looks fantastic. We went with Diamond Brite Super Blue and it looks absolutely amazing in contrast with our new gray pavers that South Florida Paver Pros did. I have to say I'm very impressed with everything. Definitely check out Blue Water if you are in need of pool finishing or any kind of serious pool work. They have consistently delivered for us over a number of years and because of that I give them my highest recommendation. read more

I would give Bluewater Pools zero stars if I could. I hired Bluewater Pools to redo my pool Diamond Brite in November 2024. Less than two years later, the blue accent tile on my pool steps is already failing and coming off. In my opinion, that is not normal wear and tear for pool work that is this recent. I contacted Bluewater Pools about the issue and received a call back from Kevin. Without ever coming to my property to inspect the damage, he immediately blamed my pool service company and stated that my pool guy must have caused it. I asked what it would cost to repair, and I was told $200. I then escalated the matter to the owner. The owner did send someone to look at the damage, but the response was essentially the same: "This looks like the pool guy." After speaking with the owner again a few days later, I was told the same thing -- that my pool guy caused the damage. At no point did I receive a meaningful written explanation, inspection report, or proof that the failure was caused by my pool service company rather than by an installation, bonding, material, grout, or workmanship issue. The owner then offered to repair the tiles for $875, making it clear that he would not fix the issue at no cost, even though the work was less than two years old and even though Bluewater Pools could not provide proof that their work was not part of the problem. Because I was not satisfied with that response, I contacted two other pool companies for independent opinions and repair estimates. Both companies indicated that the workmanship appeared flawed, especially considering how recently the work had been done. One company even tried to demonstrate how difficult it would be to chip that tile through the water with a pool brush because of the drag once the brush enters the water. I also tested this myself, and it was extremely difficult to recreate the kind of damage Bluewater claimed my pool service company caused. After this happened, I looked more closely at Bluewater Pools' Yelp and Google reviews and found other customers describing similar issues. One Yelp review from another customer specifically mentions tile falling off, grout coming out, and a poor Marcite job after Bluewater Pools performed work. That sounded very similar to the type of failure I am now dealing with on my own pool. I wish I had taken those complaints more seriously before hiring this company. My issue is not only that the tile failed. My issue is that Bluewater Pools immediately blamed someone else, refused to accept any possibility that their workmanship or materials may have contributed to the problem, and then attempted to charge me significantly more to repair work that I believe should not have failed this quickly. I have photos, communications, and independent opinions regarding this issue. Based on my experience, I would strongly caution anyone considering Bluewater Pools to think carefully, get everything in writing, understand the warranty, review their Yelp and Google reviews carefully, and document the condition of the work immediately after completion. Pools are expensive, and consumers should be able to expect that a company will stand behind its work when problems appear in such a short period of time. In my opinion, Bluewater Pools did not do that here. read more

Charlie from Florida pools came to my home and brought some special equipment. He was kind friendly and very knowledgeable and did a spectacular job finally finding the leak explaining everything to me and repairing it promptly thank you so much. read more

Beware, I have had two bad experiences with Blue Water Pools. About 8 months ago my Pentair intellichlor salt cell failed. I contacted Blue Water and they sent out Dany one of their techs to take a look. He diagnosed that the cell was gone, but luckily he had a Pentair Intellichlor cell on his truck that they had just taken off of a pool they were remodeling. He said that the cell had only been used for a few weeks or months and offered it to me for half price, but with no warranty. Since these cells have a life of around 3 to 5 years I believed him and took the offer. Well 7 months later the cell is dead and gone and after multiple phone calls they will do nothing. Upon inspection the cell had been manufactured 3 or 4 years ago. I guess I was stupid to believe what they told me. Before this cell died I needed a new pump for my pool, so I contacted Blue Water and they quoted me a Pentair Superflow VST pump for $ 2,675.00. After contacting other company I got the same pump, same warranty, same installation for $ 750 less. These were my experiences with Blue Water Pools, I would never trust them again or use them myself. read more

We had a poor experience with Bluewater's customer service, responsiveness and getting them to show up - the week job we were promised took 6 weeks. After the job was completed (there were many minor details left undone), we realized they were not going to show up to do the pool startup balance and we covered the pool start up expense out of pocket with another company. The bigger problem came months later when we shared our review on google. They asked us to take the review down in exchange for the money we spent and offered pool services. This did not seem right to us especially because we selected them based on their positive reviews. My pool heater committed suicided on 3/23 before a guest arrived. I let the guest know what had happened and ordered a replacement of the same kind. It wasn't going to be delivered in time for their stay so I searched and found their ad on Craig's list. Left a message late Saturday night and get a response Early Sunday morning and had a new heat pump at my door by 10:30am. If they always work like this they will own the pool world! Blue water re- marcited my pool several years ago and I was very happy with the time frame, the job and the price and I've kept their number for anything that comes up with the pool- I noticed the motor wasn't pumping that good & the pool cleaner wasn't doing its thing so I called either of the numbers I have- what I love is they actually answer the phone or they get back to you very quickly which is a plus in my book- decided on a new motor/ they gave me a price. Kevin came over when he said he would- I left the gate open, he did what he needed to do, chit chat for a few minutes and then he was off- took care of a little wiring that was aged out and they're honest! We needed diamond bright, waterline tiles, and bullnose tiles on the steps as well as a new LED light. Kevin was a very straight up and to the point person. He was there the day he told me he was going to start the job and also was right on, on how long it would take to complete. He was spot on with everything he did and was the fairest price of all. I received several quotes from 6 companies for a pool resurface and pool equipment replacement. Communication with Kevin happened only via text messages, even though I asked to get an email for proper communication. Changes were made to the original estimate and a new quote with updates to Job and pricing, was never sent (which raised red flag #1). I waited 8 weeks in line to get the job started. The week of the job, I called and texted Kevin to get details on the job, because I Never got anything in writing, and he got upset and said to "trust his word" (red flag #2). He made feel that I should know all the details and shouldn't be asking that many questions - I was supposed to trust him. After this incident, I just decided to cancel this job and look for another company. If you feel comfortable with not getting writing details and good customer service, then go ahead. At the end of the project we did find a "tile mismatch" underneath the waterfall, and this problem was partially due to a lack of communication on our part. I was surprised when the owner of Blue Pools, Mr. Brian Miles, arrived at our house and assured us that he would fix the mismatched tile work. He looked me in the eye, shook my hand, and told me that he is a man of his word, and that everything would be completed to our satisfaction if we could simply wait for the "correct" tiles to arrive from overseas. Sure enough, once the tile arrived, Mr. Miles handled this portion of the project personally. We were surprised that he would take the time from his busy schedule to take such a personal interest in our situation when he has so many employees who work for his company.
