Back against using Blue Water Pools, this time to refinish our pool which was in bad need of an overhaul. I checked around with a few companies to get prices and see portfolios, but since I used Blue Water previously with great success, I decided to go with them again. On the first day the team showed up as expected and got right to work. The guys worked very hard throughout the entire time they were on site and progress was quick. They kept us informed about what was going on and were excellent with communication overall, which I appreciated. Most importantly, the pool looks fantastic. We went with Diamond Brite Super Blue and it looks absolutely amazing in contrast with our new gray pavers that South Florida Paver Pros did. I have to say I'm very impressed with everything. Definitely check out Blue Water if you are in need of pool finishing or any kind of serious pool work. I had a difficult to locate leak in my pool for several months. I had two contractors come out and did not repair it properly. Charlie from Florida pools came to my home and brought some special equipment. We had a poor experience with Bluewater's customer service, responsiveness and getting them to show up - the week job we were promised took 6 weeks. After the job was completed (there were many minor details left undone), we realized they were not going to show up to do the pool startup balance and we covered the pool start up expense out of pocket with another company. The bigger problem came months later when we shared our review on google. They asked us to take the review down in exchange for the money we spent and offered pool services. This did not seem right to us especially because we selected them based on their positive reviews. Blue water re- marcited my pool several years ago and I was very happy with the time frame, the job and the price and I've kept their number for anything that comes up with the pool- I noticed the motor wasn't pumping that good & the pool cleaner wasn't doing its thing so I called either of the numbers I have- what I love is they actually answer the phone or they get back to you very quickly which is a plus in my book- decided on a new motor/ they gave me a price. Kevin came over when he said he would- I left the gate open, he did what he needed to do, chit chat for a few minutes and then he was off- took care of a little wiring that was aged out and they're honest! My pool heater committed suicided on 3/23 before a guest arrived. I let the guest know what had happened and ordered a replacement of the same kind. It wasn't going to be delivered in time for their stay so I searched and found their ad on Craig's list. We needed diamond bright, waterline tiles, and bullnose tiles on the steps as well as a new LED light. Kevin was a very straight up and to the point person. He was there the day he told me he was going to start the job and also was right on, on how long it would take to complete. He was spot on with everything he did and was the fairest price of all. After he did the pool, I spoke to him about converting to a salt system, a new filter and a new motor. I received several quotes from 6 companies for a pool resurface and pool equipment replacement. Communication with Kevin happened only via text messages, even though I asked to get an email for proper communication. Changes were made to the original estimate and a new quote with updates to Job and pricing, was never sent (which raised red flag #1). I waited 8 weeks in line to get the job started. The week of the job, I called and texted Kevin to get details on the job, because I Never got anything in writing, and he got upset and said to "trust his word" (red flag #2). He made feel that I should know all the details and shouldn't be asking that many questions - I was supposed to trust him. After this incident, I just decided to cancel this job and look for another company. If you feel comfortable with not getting writing details and good customer service, then go ahead. At the end of the project we did find a "tile mismatch" underneath the waterfall, and this problem was partially due to a lack of communication on our part. I was surprised when the owner of Blue Pools, Mr. Brian Miles, arrived at our house and assured us that he would fix the mismatched tile work. He looked me in the eye, shook my hand, and told me that he is a man of his word, and that everything would be completed to our satisfaction if we could simply wait for the "correct" tiles to arrive from overseas. Sure enough, once the tile arrived, Mr. Miles handled this portion of the project personally. We were surprised that he would take the time from his busy schedule to take such a personal interest in our situation when he has so many employees who work for his company. 2/17/2020 - Brian you know that we thought we were getting Premium White Diamond Brite, or equivalent, and instead you used Marcite (which still should last). We just trusted you and signed a contract that said, 1 yr. warranty. Now we have had 3 companies tell us that the surface is less than 1/8" thick and that it should be 1/2" think and there wasn't a bonding agent used. Now the pool needs to be completely stripped and redone. We got nothing but a run around, you wouldn't even come look at it. It's been over 8 months since we notified you, and you never offered anything, it's all documented. I only wrote this review to let other shoppers know our experience. read more

My wife and I bought a home in Lighthouse Point Florida and we were in major need of a pool remodel. We were excited to have a pool but we didn't realize how bad in shape it was until we moved in.
