Summary : 10/10 Outstanding quality and craftsmanship, professional, courteous, and superior design/ product. ------- detailed review below ----- I had the opportunity to work with Romance Pools this year and the quality/outcome was fantastic. After shopping the market for a little over a year I came past the Romance name over and over again. I even had 3 to 4 friends and family members who have used them in the past. As many of you have experienced, dealing with a contractor is usually a strenuous, stressful experience. However, I must say everything was a breeze and my dream backyard: pool were created in no time. I can't thank them enough for all the future memories we will have, and truly making our house a Resort here in south Florida ....we never want to leave. Design: Dani Romance, lead designer, set up our initial visit with her in their Boca showroom going over all materials / design options. We then proceed to construct exact 3-D representation of our pool / yard through CADCAM and play with different finished / options until our desired outcome was met. After we selected materials, she would even wet the materials to make sure we liked it when it was rain/post pool. Going through different options and finishes to allow for the best design and safety (slippery or not) for our family. I have attached pictures of the design and final outcome. Quality : Being a type A personality (surgeon) - quality fit and finish mattered to me. Everything from the tile cut , beveling , plumbing , drain systems, to the substrate was top-notch . Like most things in construction, the preparatory work is what defines the longevity and quality of the finishes. Their attention to detail was noted at every step with Kristian, the owner coming by multiple times a week to quality check all the foreman work. Even though it was not needed. They are a team, not subcontractors , which work very efficiently together, and it shows in the final outcome. Even the city inspectors were impressed and how far above Code they went. Communication: Communication was the most impressive for me. When dealing with contractors, this becomes the bane of your existence. Usually they're unreachable or come on their own accord However ,the owner Kristian was always one text or phone call away from answering all the questions or concerns, I may have. I even changed one or two design details midway through the project and it was an ease doing these alterations. Process/timing : They set up all the inspection timings paperwork and made it a breeze. I just sat back and watched my vacation backyard be produced. After permitting paper work (8 weeks ish) - the whole process took 2-3 months tops. Pricing/ payment I received multiple quotes for the job and they were in line with most of these quotes. I can tell you with a neighbor that went through the process the same time I did, The quality of work compared to the payment is off the charts. Online secure payment systems and wiring made this an ease. Summation: Without a doubt, I would use romance pools in the future. The professionalism, expertise and leading design make them a leader in the field. Your wildest dreams and imaginations will come true - my advice to you is start as soon as you can, because you will not regret it. Romance Pool has resurfaced my pool in 2020. The pool started to leak, at multiple points, 6 month after being resurfaced, and continue to leak until today. I tried multiple times to have Romance Pool to honor their contract's warranty, but they refused. I have no choice but to file a law suit against Romance Pool to reseal all leaks, and to resurface the pool again, at thousands of dollars of cost. I started with Romance Pools back the second week December 2018 because I had to cut ties with my previous pool company for reasons I won't mention. I think Romance Pools are very friendly and honest and try to accommodate you. I have a dog and my pool tech always text me to let me know she is on the way and is very good making sure gate is closed which I check anyway. It is just nice to know the techs are responsible. Also, at the time i needed a motor because pool jets weren't working. I was quoted by my previous pool company around $850.00. Romance pools was out the same day and also replaced a wire for $385.00. Service started out up to par, and even though the people who recommended them let them go because they were not showing up when they said they were and not caring for the pool as needed, we continued using their service. Fast forward a year or so, and our pool is leaking; the motor on our brand new pump was shot, and it took over a month and multiple calls to get someone out to fix it...and no one said anything to us. We spoke with Kristian personally a few times on how we were not pleased but willing to give his company another shot, so requested he personally come take water samples because the chlorine seemed very strong when we got in. He was always "out of town" and would have his guy do it and follow up...that never happened. Finally, we decided to bring out another pool company to evaluate, and low and behold, the pump was disgusting and looks like it hasn't been cleaned, and acid levels are through the roof...and our 16 month old has been going on the pool all summer.
