Pool Pros was not the cheapest quote. On the contrary, they were one of the higher quotes, but we reasoned that paying more would ensure better quality, better customer service, and an all around better experience for such a large project. We were wrong. Picture below of where the project currently is, 20 months later. Their communication has been horrendous. We receive sparse updates, often with inaccurate or very little information. We frequently have to ask the same question several times to get an actual, accurate answer. We have raised the communication issue several times with Nathaniel, who, both times, reprimanded us and doubled down on the inaccurate information. His personality when selling you a pool is very different from his personality when you are telling him you are not satisfied with the service you are being provided. Timing wise, the project has taken much longer than we could have ever guessed. Some delays are normal, but they constantly schedule in a way that wastes an incredible amount of time. Important to us, Pool Pros does not protect our driveway according to industry standards. They have multiple times put heavy machinery in our driveway with a ripped up tarp under it. Because of this, a lot of the turf we have on our driveway is now ripped up and ruined. We expect that they will fix it, but honestly, they have no concept of customer service so who knows. It is common they will show up and you'll have no idea what's going to happen that day because they do not communicate. One day, without telling us, Pool Pros ripped out our fig tree. We were so sad and they had a less than adequate response (we had to follow up three times to get them to agree to replace it). Additionally, the crews they hire/outsource are unprofessional to say the least. One morning at 7am, I was brushing my teeth (shirtless) and I looked out the window to see a man in my back yard. Both gates had been locked. Instead of knocking on the front door to be let in the back, an employee jimmied the deadbolt on the gate and pushed the gate open. It was dangerous, stupid, and again, not handled properly. On top of that, it's common that the crews do not clean up after themselves (something I'd expect at this price point). Pool Pros uses the fact that you will have a project manager assigned to your case as a selling point. This has not been our experience. We have had Alexander as a main project manager. I imagine he is overworked and under supported. Alexander has also had two assistants or sub-project managers who have been horrendous. Specifically, our most recent contact Nick has been nothing short of incompetent, uncommunicative, and a pain. If we had been told that our main point of contact would tell us dates that don't exist, not know what's happening with the project, not know the next step, and not know the difference between the colors green and blue, we simply never would've signed with this company. Additionally, this company is shady. They originally accepted credit card payments, now they don't. Also, when we were told by an inspector we had to dewater, they sent us a message saying the cost would be $2795 (additional, on top of the $69,500) and requested we paid by Zelle. When we asked to see an invoice from the engineer or literally anything that showed a justification for the price, they first ignored us and then became rude. We literally still do not know if that was a made up number. We do know, though, that other companies charge a flat fee of $800 for dewatering. We have repeatedly asked for better communication, and at this point we would just like to see the pool finished well and efficiently. If something changes, I will update the review.

There was very little professionalism or customer care shown during the conversation. In addition, we repeatedly asked them to inspect and address equipment issues multiple times throughout service, and nothing was ever followed up on or repaired. Most disappointing was the complete lack of urgency after explaining that we had Mother's Day plans with multiple mothers and children coming over in just a few days. At that point, we were simply looking for help getting the pool back in shape quickly, but it was clear they did not care about retaining us as customers. Poor communication, lack of follow-through, and poor customer service overall. Please consider another company. Regardless, we asked them to upgrade our aqualink system to a newer one, never got a quote. Fix or replace heater, never got a quote. Price replacing our pool deck and waterline tile, never received a quote. In this economy, we are paying alot for all kinds of services, with your pool you have options. Choose wisely.

I checked around with a few companies to get prices and see portfolios, but since I used Blue Water previously with great success, I decided to go with them again. On the first day the team showed up as expected and got right to work. The guys worked very hard throughout the entire time they were on site and progress was quick. They kept us informed about what was going on and were excellent with communication overall, which I appreciated. Most importantly, the pool looks fantastic. We went with Diamond Brite Super Blue and it looks absolutely amazing in contrast with our new gray pavers that South Florida Paver Pros did. I have to say I'm very impressed with everything. Definitely check out Blue Water if you are in need of pool finishing or any kind of serious pool work. They have consistently delivered for us over a number of years and because of that I give them my highest recommendation.

I would give Bluewater Pools zero stars if I could…read more I hired Bluewater Pools to redo my pool Diamond Brite in November 2024. Less than two years later, the blue accent tile on my pool steps is already failing and coming off. In my opinion, that is not normal wear and tear for pool work that is this recent. I contacted Bluewater Pools about the issue and received a call back from Kevin. Without ever coming to my property to inspect the damage, he immediately blamed my pool service company and stated that my pool guy must have caused it. I asked what it would cost to repair, and I was told $200. I then escalated the matter to the owner. The owner did send someone to look at the damage, but the response was essentially the same: "This looks like the pool guy." After speaking with the owner again a few days later, I was told the same thing -- that my pool guy caused the damage. At no point did I receive a meaningful written explanation, inspection report, or proof that the failure was caused by my pool service company rather than by an installation, bonding, material, grout, or workmanship issue. The owner then offered to repair the tiles for $875, making it clear that he would not fix the issue at no cost, even though the work was less than two years old and even though Bluewater Pools could not provide proof that their work was not part of the problem. Because I was not satisfied with that response, I contacted two other pool companies for independent opinions and repair estimates. Both companies indicated that the workmanship appeared flawed, especially considering how recently the work had been done. One company even tried to demonstrate how difficult it would be to chip that tile through the water with a pool brush because of the drag once the brush enters the water. I also tested this myself, and it was extremely difficult to recreate the kind of damage Bluewater claimed my pool service company caused. After this happened, I looked more closely at Bluewater Pools' Yelp and Google reviews and found other customers describing similar issues. One Yelp review from another customer specifically mentions tile falling off, grout coming out, and a poor Marcite job after Bluewater Pools performed work. That sounded very similar to the type of failure I am now dealing with on my own pool. I wish I had taken those complaints more seriously before hiring this company. My issue is not only that the tile failed. My issue is that Bluewater Pools immediately blamed someone else, refused to accept any possibility that their workmanship or materials may have contributed to the problem, and then attempted to charge me significantly more to repair work that I believe should not have failed this quickly. I have photos, communications, and independent opinions regarding this issue. Based on my experience, I would strongly caution anyone considering Bluewater Pools to think carefully, get everything in writing, understand the warranty, review their Yelp and Google reviews carefully, and document the condition of the work immediately after completion. Pools are expensive, and consumers should be able to expect that a company will stand behind its work when problems appear in such a short period of time. In my opinion, Bluewater Pools did not do that here.

After that Greg and his posse took over and I must say I was surprised by their promptness and efficiency on getting the job done. YES they were done in exactly 1 week! Greg was there to answer all our concerns and questions and was an absolute gentleman, always prompt and polite. The finished product looked Amazing! My experience with Superb Pools was an absolute nightmare. My pool was left in worst condition than…read morethey found it in. Avoid at all costs!! We moved into a new home that had a saltwater pool and wanted some work done, as well as find a company for regular cleanings. We wanted to have the pool light replaced, as well as have the tiles acid washed and the surrounding brick pavers cleaned. I was given a quote on Tuesday, and told that if I could approve and pay deposit by Wednesday, the work could be completed that week. We went ahead and approved the quote, as well as paid the 50% deposit. Thursday morning the work began on schedule and things appeared to be going well. We were told the pool needed to be drained below the light, but they drained the entire pool instead. It was initially not a big deal, but when they called and asked us to approve additional work since the pool was already drained, I should have realized then how this company does business. Thursday evening I received a text saying the pool was being filled overnight, and to give them an update in the morning so they could come back and finish up. I sent a text with a picture around 9:00 am. By about 1:00 pm when I had not received any response, I called and texted again. No response again. Finally someone responded and said they would be there by 3:00 pm. I received a call at 3:00 pm stating they were picking up the sealant and on their way. Someone arrived around 3:45 pm and put several bags of salt and chemicals into our pool. I could immediately tell that it was WAY too much salt, as it created a rim around the entire pool. The individual left about 10 minutes later with our pool looking absolutely terrible... lots of dirt and debris, a salty rim formed all around the pool, and the machine beeping saying there was way too much salt. I assumed they were coming back and would not leave their customers' pool like this over the weekend. Especially when they said the work would be done this week! After about an hour, I reached out with pictures and videos asking when this was going to be corrected. I sent numerous texts, phone calls, and emails over a two hour period. Finally someone responded and told me that this was completely normal and that the salty rim would be filtered out, and that the rest of the work would be done the following week! Keep in mind the machine was telling me our pool had twice the safe limit. I'm not sure whether they just do not know how to service a saltwater pool, or if they are just that negligent, but this company should not be trusted in your home. They also had the audacity to send me a bill for work that I had to hire another company to come out and fix/ complete. Our new company was APPALLED at the condition our pool was left in and has encouraged us to report them to the State. Save yourself the headache and avoid this company at all costs.
