The ribs fell off the bone, and I barely even needed to use my teeth at all. Cole slaw is pretty standard. Green beans are stewed super soft but so long as you don't hate a soft green bean they are really good...like, weirdly flavorful for a side of green beans. I generally prefer an al dente green bean but I still enjoyed them. You had better come hungry like I did or prepare to bring some home with you. I had really good service here, even though it seemed like the guy was on his own for the dining room and takeout orders which is a lot. He was really warm and friendly with everyone in the dining room and super prompt with everything. I only wish they gave out wet wipes for people having ribs or fried chicken! The taller Arab gentleman working there spoke to me with an unnecessary tone and attitude that made the experience uncomfortable. I'm not claiming to know what he personally thinks or feels about Black people--I'm speaking specifically about how I was treated and how that treatment came across to me. The food may be good, but customer service matters too. Everyone who walks through the door deserves to be acknowledged and treated respectfully, regardless of their ethnicity or background.
