    Hot Sausage

I really had high hopes for this place, until I was thinking about going back tomorrow. That was until I got ready to sit down for lunch and I had tomatoes on my hot sausage po'boy. I called at 10:44am and placed my order, the young lady over the phone stated that my order would be ready in 20mins (no problem). They were bring my order at 11:04am I mean 20mins on the dot. I don't go to until 3pm, however I pick up my food before going because I don't like to always leave. Got ready to eat and my sandwich was loaded with tomatoes. I am highly allergic to them and I asked that they don't be on there. I even had the receipt that says "no tomatoes".

Okay I came in and it was slow. after I put in my order for 2 grilled pork chops with three sides. (Peas, Rice & gravy, and yams) a huge rush came in. The staff is super nice. my food did take about 25 minutes to come out but it was worth the wait. Everything came out piping hot and the crazy part I devoured it all without hot sauce. All the soul food I eat always needs at least a dash of hot sauce but not here. The yams were sweet with a hint of cinnamon coming through, peas were flavorful, and the rice and gravy, well I could just eat that and be happy. the pork chops were seasoned very nicely. overall I got a glimpse of the locals coming in knowing exactly what they wanted and me a satisfied guy happy to jump on his plane and head home.

I was staying at a hotel just south of the airport and was craving some good creole soul food and this place hit the spot. Food is served cafeteria style, but something's are made to order like the fried pork chops. It does take awhile so I recommend calling ahead of time. It was definitely worth the wait. The gumbo was probably my favorite part. Pork chops were crispy and juicy, and the sides were all so filling. I think it was the owner who served me, but she gave me a free piece of cake since it was my first time visiting. Can't wait to go again and try the rest of the menu.

This.is a nice and quaint little soul food restaurant tucked away on the side of Kart and Karry gas station. They have a hot bar and today the meats they had to offer were meatloaf and neck bones. Many of the customers ordered the neck bone plate. I ordered the fried okra and a small cup of gumbo. My food was so good. The fried okra was fried to perfection. The gumbo was super flavorful with a large amount of shrimp, andouille sausage, and chicken. The establishment is clean and the service is great. If you want a down home meal this is the place to come.

The food and customer service was good. I would order from there again. The restaurant is not that big, there wasn't too many tables available for dining in, large groups should consider calling first to find out if they can be accommodated. Overall it was a pleasant experience.

The best soul food while I was in Nola. I encourage all of you to try this hidden spot next to the airport.

The food here is awesome! Home cooked soul food away from home. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu.

Everything was disrespectfully delicious. Every bite had us questioning our life choices in the best way. By the end of the meal, we were all sleepy and completely defeated by how good the food was. The staff was on point, courteous, and polite. Our food came out hot, fast, and perfectly plated with consistency that never misses. My only small complaint is that the sweet potato habanero sauce isn't as thick as it used to be. I'm a little annoyed about that, but it still tastes exactly the same Cochon Butcher remains one of those must visit New Orleans spots that never disappoints. Great food, great service, and a place I'll always adore.

If you're wondering if Cochon Butcher is worth the hype, it absolutely is. It's totally clear why…read morethey are Michelin-recommended. We ordered the black-eyed pea chili and the muffuletta, and the sandwich completely stole the show. The bread was perfectly soft, and you can really taste the difference in quality with their in-house meats. The olive salad tied the whole thing together, complementing the rich, savory flavors perfectly. That being said, the space gets extremely crowded on busy days. It's tight enough that you'll likely have people bumping into your chair or brushing past you while you eat and walk through the dining room. The biggest downside was the service at the counter. The line to the cashiers was very disorganized. Instead of calling the next person in line, one cashier was pulling people up at random, which made the ordering process frustrating. Overall, the food is fantastic, but be prepared for chaotic crowds and a messy ordering system during peak hours.
